SETX teams are accustomed to be playing in heat, humidity, rain, refinery and paper mill odors, plant explosions, hurricanes, and heavy fog. But I think they like it at NRG and Jerry World just fine.

The Indians have had a tough couple of games for the past 2 weeks, but I think they'll be ok against LH as far as the off and def lines are concerned, and the DBs and LBs as well.

Defensive backs ? Y'all don't need db's this week just put 11 of your defensive lineman up on the line all within the tackles .

For all of us that cant make Friday games I got to shout out to the NDN Press it was so cool to see they had up to 6800 people watching the broadcast of Fridays game. They are doing a wonderful job and should be rewarded

I have watched most of LH games on NFHS which has had to many technical difficulties . I switched to a Pieper free stream on YouTube tv which was better in my opinion than NFHS .

Will there be a PNG live stream this week ?  I don't mind watching an opponents live stream thats  better than watching a frozen screen on my paid app .

Guys, I hate to break it to y’all, but there was a huge mass of PN-G fans watching the game while standing on the concourse between the upper and lower levels behind the top row of the bottom section. A few dozen empty seats on extreme ends of the stadium does not equate to fans not in the stands.

The PN-G radio crew confirmed the sell-out at CE King with stadium staff in the pressbox. There were also small pockets of PN-G fans who sat on the visitor’s side with Lake Creek because they were redirected there by stadium staff after the home side sold out.

By the way, while we’re at it, the reason we’re playing at Berry Center next week is because Liberty Hill’s head coach refused to agree to anything larger and was willing to force a coin flip between any site chosen by PN-G and Liberty Hill’s home stadium. We didn’t want to risk it. And I have that directly from someone who was involved in the negotiations.

Does PNG have a preference for indoor or outdoor ? I know the LH coaches always want the game outdoors when possible .

Yea, no doubt.  Mismatch on both sides of the ball.  I smell some Friday night pancakes.

Definitely mismatch in size .   LH line are usually tuff and they don't always have to push the defensive player across from them back sometimes they just got to get in his way . If you watched the Pieper /LH game LH just kept hammering away right up the middle with the full back . They were happy to get 3 or so yds . I would see Pieper stop fb dead in his tracks and they would turn around run the same play . I was thinking run something different .  But the hammer wore them out in the end . They we're able to run the final 5 and half minutes or so off the clock with 1st downs and a long run by fb  Carter  .    PNG got some big lineman that look like they can endure quite a bit of hammering .      It's going to be a tough night for the LH linemen .

Long posts are welcome. I’d especially like to hear what folks over there are thinking about this game

Most think it will definitely be tuff to win this week . But they always believe they will win . This yr we will have the 2 starting  rbs that got knocked out last year in the game before we played PNG . Will they be enough to change the out come from last year ?  I'm not sure . But LH has surprised teams before .

Liberty Hill has probably had a rematch with PNG circled all season. Let’s get it g

Howdy from Liberty Hill !  Come over to talk to you fine people from the East of our great state of Texas .  Enjoyed the talks last yr . Reading on here this year looks like y'all done kicked the scat out of us before the young men have evern taken the field . I understand what LH is up against but the boys like to play football and win or lose that doesn't change from year to year .  It's been a tuff yr for the Panthers injury wise but they got some players back just in time to run the table over here in region 4 .   Yeah the defense is had to grow up a lot this yr . They getting better but having said that it's going to be a tuff row to hoe this week .  But here's to a gd game for both teams with no injuries . For sure the winner of this game it's going to need all hands on deck for the big game and for sure I'll be pulling for the winner either way our game turns out .     Sorry for the long post , I'll try to keep future post shorter .... LHFan80

People say that there was nothing good that was made in the US in the 70s, especially autos and shotguns. But the '70 and '71 Cutlass Supreme was a nice looking car, and popular too. A good friend of mine in high school, fortunate enough to be raised in a wealthy home, and could have the car of his choice, selected a '71 Cutlass Supreme for his graduation gift.

BTW, where did you make $3.50/hr in '78? In the summer of '71 I made $4.50/hr as a laborer at a local refinery. I think I made $3.50/hr in the summers of '72-'73 though, at a steel drum plant. I bought a '73 Yamaha 650, for ~$1000 I think, +/-.

Regarding football, and your earlier comment about watching PNG-LBJ, LBJ was the "worst" team we played all season, to put it very politely. FBM was a close second, along with a few others. It's been one heck of a strange season, IMO, but I won't elaborate here. Anyway, should be a good game tomorrow night. I pray for all of the players, for their safety, and that they will be able to do their best.

Had to go back and reread my statement on the PNG/LBJ game . I didn't word that very well . The discipline and well coached I was referring to is the PNG team . That 4th dwn fake punt they pulled off without a hitch caught me totally off guard . When the players were running toward the sidelines I thought they were exchanging personnel to punt .      LBJ has athletes they depend a lot on their speed and improvising with busted plays .  But they were hard to put away in the closing minutes of y'all's game . I think they were the beneficiaries of a few penalties .

By the way I echo the wording of your prayer !

This week is dragging by soooooooooooooooo slow.

    1 more sleep.

    Yep !

I seen a little of the PNG VS LBJ game . I was impressed with how well coached and disciplined there team was . This will be a tough matchup for LH . The 2 rb's they lost will hinder them some against this PNG'S defense . The backups played well and this game for LH may be what they call 3 yds and a cloud of dust . They may need all 4 downs more this wk .  Long was a homerun hitter with his speed they will miss tht.  . LH can't afford to let PNG get a couple scores ahead . LH has been really gd coming out after halftime but this game I feel they need to start out hitting on all cylinders . But win it lose I'll still cheer for my hometown Panthers .    Go Panthers !

I wish a gd game to both teams and safe travels to all .  Much respect for the Indian players and community eh I guess I should say Nation

Gd Luck to y'all but I'm hoping for just a little bit better Luck for the Panthers !

Yeah, and I can't remember what the 2nd thing is.

I don't know what your 1970 moniker stands for but I was a high school sr in 1980 . In summer of 78 I worked all summer long think I was making $3.50 an hr .  Saved all summer long bought my 1st car for $750.00 . That car was a1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme 2 door coup . Which has nothing to do with this football thread . But I did drive it to school and football practice my jr.and sr yrs if tht helps to tie it into this thread.

I don't disagree that they will have their hands full but neither line of theirs looks big to me.  They look small and quick.

Hello PNG fans , LH fan here .True Indian93 I hear you and I have thought the same thing many times . It still amazes me but this system Coach Vance brought here yrs ago has given the kids away to be competitive and they and the whole town bought into it . They run slot T from peewee league up through high school and now it's became LH's football identity .  I think you got it right with they are quick .
