Yes, great year LTown! Your boys always gave 100% and coaches always had them prepared. This team gave their fans a lot of great moments and made everyone proud.
-
Lumberton had a receiver with 3 catches and 160 yards by beginning of 2nd quarter and he touched the ball one time the entire second half, unbelievable. I bet the other teams coaches appreciated that.
-
Yes, last time we went to Livingston they put it on us pretty good. A lot of these boys were freshman and sophomores then. I’m sure they remember and will be focused.

I can agree with that but hes not going to out run us to the end zone. Im more concerned with yalls passing game. If yall cant throw the game will be in our favor of LCM. Im probably not even going to the game, but it would probably take yall 2 1/2 decades to win enough to even the series up. Yall have only beat LCM once in the last 10 years so we can beat our chest all we want but LCM has owned Lumberton pretty much in every sport but the girls side of things.
I love guys who live in the past all their lives. Their mighty BOYS track team didn’t look to dominant last year against the pathetic Raiders. Look at me living in the past now. LOL

No, it’s really not hard to say certain teams are good.
-
-
Yes they were fun to watch run last year. All 4 members of that 4x100 team play football.
-
Stink or not, they were big and had a bunch of athletes and Lumberton put it on them in all phases of the game. Some can’t accept it but Lumberton has speed and athletes too.
-
I’ll go with Lumberton at home but their offense really lacks creativity getting the ball in their playmakers hands. Only getting these kids a couple touches a game is disappointing. Seems like Lumberton’s opponents figure out how to get their playmakers the ball in a variety of ways and have a bigger impact on game.
-
I’ll go with the Raiders in a high scoring game.
-
No clue on what St. Thomas will have. If the Raiders can tighten up their special teams, and get more creative in getting the ball to their skill kids, I believe they can play with anybody.
-
Believe this will be a good one. If HF has a lot of kids playing both ways that might be a factor late. Going with the Raiders in this one.

Week 1 matchup against Lumberton looks like a great season opener.

Lumberton will be tough for sure, but the team LCM does not match up well against is vidor...in previous yrs, the defense has not been disciplined enough to slow down that slot t.... hopefully this year is different!
Bear02, You seem to have good insight on these programs and I agree with you. Looks like all 3 teams scheduled a few tough pre-district matchups to get them ready.
-
I believe the Trojans will scrimmage Lumberton on Aug 12th.
-
Great choices! favorites that I’m familiar with and will get to watch play some are; Miller( Silsbee), LCMs running back, and Lumberton’s wideout. These kids will give teams problems.
-
Your absolutely right but sometimes it does translate and nothing scares a coach more. It will be all about defense improvement for the Raiders.
-
Yes sir, you are right about that!
-
Since nobody has faith in LTown I’ll throw some their way. After watching them smoke every school in the area this year in track, they have the speed to give this district problems. Hopefully this success will translate to the football field for them. We will find out soon. Here’s to an injury free year for all our teams!
-
That seems about right with the limited knowledge I have on returning players. Coaching edge maybe LCM, Vidor, Skill position edge probably Lumberton. Defense advantage no clue.
-
I believe right now your 3 contenders for 1st are; Vidor, Lumberton, LCM.
- LCM will be good again, good coach and good talent, need to replace their QB from last year, he was tough.
- Lumberton’s offense will be good, they have good speed & skill at receiver, good QB and solid RB. If defense gets better they could be a tough out.
- Not sure what the Pirates have back, but they are always tough.
-
Both teams have a couple kids who can really stretch the field.
-
Congratulations to Lumberton’s 4x100 relay team, saw today this group made it to the state meet and will be running in Austin next week. This is an impressive accomplishment! Good luck representing the 409!!
-
Good luck to our local teams headed to regionals this week. I know the Silsbee, Lumberton, WOS and HF boys relay teams will be competing. Got to see these teams compete a couple times this season.

Raiders win by more than that! They struggled early in the year with injuries and no legit deep threat like last year. They have found their identity now and are healthy.
