Yep, QB run left, QB run right, QB run up the middle. That was their offense for the most part but it was just enough to squeeze out a win. But the play calling on that last possession with 1st down on our own 25 yard line still boggles my mind. That summer workout program was designed for that situation with the defense gassed to run the ball down their throat but they let them off the hook with 4 passes in row. We’ll good luck to the remaining teams from our area.

Boys played hard till the end just fell short. Proud of these Pirates. On another note I have no ideal why they didn’t keep running the ball when they had a 1st down on there own 25. There defense was tired at that point.

I have also come to the conclusion that I have not seen Matthews on the field. That’s my first half wrap.

Matthews just needs to go pick a few Running Backs off the Big 4A Running Back Tree at the High School an they’ll be fine. Lol. SMH I believe Vidor needs to sprinkle in some no huddle hurry up offensive possessions. Huffman rotated fresh D linemen all game when we played them. When we went to a hurry up offense we started eating up chunks of yards. If Vidor allows them time to rotate fresh dlineman all night it’s going to be a tough moving the ball on them. You can’t wear down your opponent if you give them time to keep fresh D lineman on the field.

Lots of injuries at the running back position. We may throw the ball 3 times a game sometimes none so the running back position is kinda of important. Last I heard we’d lost our top 3 running back’s. I don’t care how big of a 4A school we are that hurts.
