One of our Defensive Ends, sophmore Blain Padgett, made 1st team all district. My son played DE on the other side but didnt get nominated. I'm sure he's probably the worst DE in the district but we play at HJ and they really dont have any talent so they needed a 6'4"guy opposite of Padgett to make the line look even. 2 - 2nd team all-district Line backers who will be in the top 3 in district this year since all the other a-d backers have graduated except for the 1 at Silsbee that made 2nd team. Hey, we are loaded son! With those 3 all-districts coming back and hopefully my boys will contribute this year plus a couple others that all-of-a-sudden the day after the last game were now ready, should  be a great season for ol HJ. Lawdog, I personally dont now Heartsfield, dont know his background but my boys seem to like him. I'm sure he's just like the rest of our coaches, he wasnt really able to do much since our AD micro-managed every aspect of the program.

Listen Buddy McNuggets, did you go to that game? That was sophmores causing those fumbles, getting tackles behind the line and being stingy with those yards baby!! We did not loose one single defensive key player!!! And before you say it, Martel didnt play in the Silsbee game last year because he was hurt. Lucky? Thats funny... And from what I heard an hour ago, we have some very successful guys wanting to coach here... Mark my words, HJ/Silsbee this year will be a game you Silsbee guys will want to forget... Then I will unroll the "bedelmon is here" sign from across the field for all to see, even the folks at Chili's will see me...

HJ will be much better this year. BC only scored twice on us last year...

You see, you say the total opposite of me, I say hire someone that does not listen to the youth coaches or parents... So what you guys are telling me, if Silsbee did not have an off season program, and lost every year, and the coach did nothing but blame the kids, you would all be good with that? I really want to hear your input... This is just a spit in the ocean of the problems with our program, but I want to hear if you are ok with this...

Oh, my bad.... Barry Edelmon, I thought everyone knew me...

Well Todd, if my memory serves me right, and I believe it does, HJ went to the playoffs 2 times under Martel... Once was the first year here, coming in to someone elses program and the 2nd with a loosing record...  Im not going to call out a bunch of kids on here (not at the moment), but I will say David Martel is probably a fine coach. I believe being from this area, he should have stayed far away. It has to be hard coaching kids thats parents graduated with him, and maybe that made him not that good at judging the talent he has around him. Then throw his son into the mix (who is a great athlete I might add before yall say I was talking bad about him) and I believe that was the recipe for the disaster we have had here for the last few years. Hey Todd, what school do you go see every friday night? I bet if anyone on here had the same district record as us the last few years, you would see things different... I wish we had the tradition that WOS has, the fan support that Silsbee and BC have. Those are great programs. Orangefield, Buna have great fan supportand I dont believe any of these programs would stand for what we have for so long...

Thats funny...You barely had us 14-0 at halftime... As sorry as we are and as many athletes as we need, figured WOS and Silsbee would have beaten poor ol HJ at least 100-0. But you didnt because we had some sophmore's that were not having it. You guys lost athletes, key athletes, we didnt loose any and now some of those that should have been out on the field and werent will be with a new coach and probably 20 more that didnt play in the past... You guys keep talking, we'll see...
