Huddleston, I never tried to confront you or any other coaches up there because it would not have done any good and David wouldnt have allowed it. I spoke to him twice about my kids and the direction of the program because there is no excuse for not using film as a teaching tool, not having an offseason program, not doing any type of form tackling drills and  asking him why are All Dist type of athletes on the bench and jv talent on the field. And I sent him one email to voice my disgust with the defense just to make myself feel better. All I have wanted for the last 2 years was to get a fresh coach that has no ties to the district or anyone in it. I got my wish and I'm extatic. My boys can already tell a difference in the workouts and the excitement of the new coach. For the first time in years, there is a buzz at HJ about football!  My high school years I will never forget, we played 4 games in the Astrodome, 1 game at Texas A&M's Kyle Field, and the 5A State Championship in Texas Stadium. For a month and 1/2 we were treated like professional football players so we thought. I started trying to impress Coach Shaver as a 7th grader and continued until he died last month. Why would i not want that type of person to be a role model for my kids? I know after some of the things that went on in that locker room and on the practice field with last years graduated seniors, I think most of the kids had lost respect for David and most o the staff. And I say staff Coach Hudd because David let it happen. All this will come out in August when you see what happens with a FOOTBALL guy running the show. Hey, [b]we may not beat everybody in the district[/b], but I have all the faith in the world in Dubois by the impact he has made just 2 weeks in. You guys think what you want about me, I've always told my boys if your better than everyone, they cant deny you and if they do, they will look like idiots and in the end you will have the last laugh.... I was mistaken, 4 hits. 11 k's. Duplant got tossed in Orangefield and got a 1 game suspension.

Buna has 3 hits. The one hit to 3rd base was a error. Now we are at 9 errors. 6-6 top 7

I think HJ pulls it out...

Again..... It was 4-5 blown calls in the LAST INNING, not complete game... Its obvious if we had scored 3 more runs, its a non-issue... I understand the concept. But it was a 3-2 ballgame and then you have 4-5 blown calls that decided the game..... It was obvious that the folks in Orangefield didnt care for them either.... The umpires did not give the game to Orangefield, they took it away from HJ. I understand umpires see things and have to make a split second decision and will miss a few... I get it, but these were blatant "im looking right at it but im scared to call it" type misses. An umpire standing 10 feet away asking an umpire 90 feet away to make the call after he had already called the kid out.....

This gets more funny and childish by the day!!!!! I got on here and said the umps sucked and yall attacked me.... Just like on the football threads, I defend our boys and get attacked for it... You guys act like your 12... Disagreeing and saying we whine and place blame is perposturous... All Im saying is you guys may need to get a life...

I havent called anyone a name... Check all my post.... I simply got on here and agreed with the HJ folks that we got robbed by two clueless umps and you guys got on here and tried to attack me!!! As usual the moderators wait till I defended myself against the Silsbee onslaught to do anything. Maybe you Silsbee folks should get on here and tell Former Fan to get lost..... Take his Silsbee fan card and throw it in Village Creek and see which community he can piss off next... This guy (or girl, I've never met him/her) is why I'm hoping Silsbee gets this umpire in the first round of the playoffs...

Out of all the baseball games we have played this year this is the only one I have blamed on someone else... It was blatant!!! We have not played to our potential since district started. I've never let any of my kids think an umpire decided the outcome of any game but this was unbelievable... As for the Buna game, I dont know any ball player that plans on popping up over first base. That is called a Texas leaguer...Didnt say they didnt play good or even that they should not have won... OF coach ran out jumping up and down like a little girl all in the umps face and they changed their call, Erickson goes out calmly and gets tossed..... Oh by the way, the ump behind the plate is the same one that took Duplants HR away Tuesday... The 6th and seventh innings were a fiasco and the umps did everything they could do to keep HJ from winning and they succeeded.... It was the most blatant disrespect for the game I have ever witnessed and they should not be able to umpire another game. Every person at they game should call or email the folks at TASO and voice their concerns about umpires determining the outcome of district baseball games. How can an umpire standing right on top of the base less than 10 feet away call a kid out, then ask  the umpire behind the plate 90 feet away and they change the call, then he has a play less than 20 feet  away where the tag was made and glove held up befor the kid touches the base, he doesnt even make the call, he calls timeout and ask the homeplate again?????? Those two calls were the game... HJ was robbed no matter how you look at it...

No offseason workout program, limited input from assistant coaches then blames coordinators for problems, best 7 on the field instead of best 11, played favorites, family and friends ahead of good football players, 10 offensive plays, no blitz's on defense, running a speed offense with all the speed on the bench, or either not a good judge of talent, you need any more?

He did! He made some adjustments this week and they seemed to work... He wasnt over throwing every pitch, got him to stand up a little taller, and cut the stride back a little. He still has a lot of work to do to be as good as the Erickson's and Moye's that wore the Hawk logo before him...
