  1. Just saw on DJ Wilson Facebook he going to Buna. Buna got a good basketball coach with him.
  2. Prayers for the Jones Family and all of Silsbee during these times.
  3. I disagree and think Coach Hickman is doing a great job so far. He is no Coach T but he never claim to be. He is surrounding himself with a lot of energetic coaches and it really impacting our kids. I am excited about the future of our program. Coach Hickman is putting a lot of energy to our school right now. My big concern right now is inside the walls of the school. Our principals have to get the school under control. Right now we been acting like a fool and kids that continue to disturb the school are continuing to be allowed to ruin education for everyone. The principals have to start suspending kids and holding us parents accountable. Right now the only thing the Sup care about is kids coming to school for the money. Some of these kids don't belong here and are just getting passed through.
  4. I hear Coach Bethea is coming back to us at WOS. Great guy, I'm glad to have him back. He cares about the kids and we need more of that over here.
  5. Mustangs, Mustangs, Mustangs for the win. HJ is really good but Wardlow and Pappillion are too big for the Hawks. It will be a good game put the defensive pressure and rebounding will be the difference and this favors the Mustangs!!!
  6. @dj we just need a coach to stay longer than 1 or 2 years. We been good at football because we get to run the same stuff year in year out. Basketball our boys have continued to learn system after system. Coach Cas will be great for the program as long as he stay
  7. Great win for my Stangs. Its great to see Pap back on the court, yes he has got many chances but this young man has had a life full of hell. Coach C did it right even when I had my doubts and the Stangs will be better for it. He needs the program a lot more than the program need him and Coach see the big picture its about the you men first. Glad to see we don't turn our back on our own. Keep it rolling Stangs if we make it to the playoffs I wouldn't want to play us.
  8. I'm hearing that there is only 2 candidates but the Sup only has one which is Hickman. Sad that we didn't even advertise on the major coaching bords but just on our school website. The Sup is from Dallas and acts like Jerry Jones, he is only going to pick someone he can control. Coach T did what he wanted this next guy will do what the Sup wants.
  9. @Charles in Charge I was sitting by our Big Pap watching my Stangs play LCM. In fact if Coach could figure out how to manage him we beat LCM but he too caught up in playing 4 5'5 guards instead of Big Pap and our lock down defender. He too worried about teaching a kid post moves under basketball with 5 minutes left before 3rd quarter instead of making adjustment with team in lockeroom at halftime. LCM made adjustments we went in Lockerroom down by 1 too get drink of water i guess and come right back out to chat on the bench and run practice Yea I have an agenda and thats to always beat LCM and get our program better. Hopefully new AD care about all sports not just football.
  10. Good game by the Bears but we have to get back to being able to full court press. I don't understand how we can't press with this group which is mostly guards. We also cannot live by the 3 pointer alone because once it drys up we dont have any other thing to go to. I'm dissappointed with our game planning, it seems that we our boys do whatever they want offensively and defensively we do understand where to be. Hopefully Coach C can get it fixed or we will be sitting this years playoffs watching instead of playing.
  11. Bridge City at Orangefield 7:30pm West Orange-Stark at Little Cypress-Mauriceville 7:30pm Lumberton at Vidor 7:30pm
  12. My Stangs take on the Bears tonight to open district for our side of the town. We need to get out of the gates quick against the Bears buts I expects a good game. I think Wardlow is too much and the Bears will struggle against our pressure. What does everyone else have??
  13. @djthese boys know how to trap but we’re out of shape. 6 of these guys were on varsity last year with 3 of them starting and 2 coming off the bench. If we can’t figure it out this year it won’t be figured out next year. Coach is over his head here, he has been cussed out by two of his players during a game and still let them play. Coach T was successful for so many years because of discipline. Last years coach had discipline and so did the 2 before. These guys do what they want and it shows.
  14. No discipline, our boys do whatever they want to on offense. We’re out of shape, don’t share the ball, and argue more than we play ball. It’s sad we were on the right track but now I don’t think we will be top 5
  15. I'm hearing 2 names repeated right now Hickman and Toby. I just don't understand why we don't open it up and go threw the process and the best Athletic Director/Football Coach wins. We need an AD bad not a football coach. Hell DPG, Carly and the guys grow these boys threw our Little Mustangs Football. You guys want to know why we good come to the fields and look at all the Little Mustangs getting groomed for the Silver Helmet. We need someone to care about all sports. We had a good basketball coach here last year that left because they wouldnt let him open the gym. Same stuff going on for the new coaches. This is more than football we need an AD that can turn the whole program around.
  16. The Superintendant doesn't really know the area. He has brought nothing but outsiders into WOS since he's been here. He has continously brought people in from Dallas that don't even move their families here and commute back on the weekends. Some of the Teachers and Students call him King Ricky because he feels its his way or no way. He has ran off teacher and staff that are from the community and plenty of our really good certified teachers. Because of him we have trained Bridge City, LCM, HJ and surrounding schools staffs for years. They have all started here and left mostly because of him. I hear he putting together a pannel, problem is all his people are on the pannel so Toby is not going to get a fair shake. He's hiring Hickman is what i been told and that is that. I hope and pray Hickman is the answer even though I have never seen or heard of him. He is own the staff now and coach girls track which hasn't done anything since Toby has been gone, but yea lets give him our best to see what he can do wit it.
  17. I'm hearing the decision has been made for over a year by the Superintendant and he already has his guy. From what I am being told is that it is the Silsbee coach on the staff that has not done much for our program since we got him there. A lot of people in OUR community know Toby Foreman is the right choice, he is WOS and deserves to come back and led our program. He will also care about other sports like basketball. In fact our Junior high girls played last night and in one of the games they didn't even score 1 pt. Our athletic department needs help and someone that is paying attention to more than football. Toby already showed that he can led our kids to State in a sport that is not football. Either we need to get Toby or get a big name that is proven. My two cents but we know that doesnt mattter. I say this but know the decision is already made
  18. Pappillion walked off the court in Nederland and to my understanding has not came back. Sad because if he is mentally right he is a force inside. Talked to a player the other day that said he feel confident that my Mustangs will make the playoffs. I still think we will as well.
  19. District is almost here and I think LCM is the front-runner out of all the OC teams to make the playoffs this year. My Mustangs have had a rough go of it but getting our guys back from football will really help a lot. They give us depth, tuffness, and some really good help to Wardlow. The Nederland Tournament didn't go our way but I think Coach C learned a lot about this years team that will help him movving forwad. That being said this is how I see our district playing out as of today. What every body else got??? Silsbee LCM WOS OF Lumberton Vidor BC
  20. I think District 22-4A will have a lot of great matchups this year as the season progresses. My Mustangs and LCM is always one of my favorites to watch. I do think we will be able to hang with the Silsbee Tigers with our bigs if we stay out of foul trouble. Here in Mustang country we're excited about this season and will be tough to beat. Coach Castille has the boys ready to go.
  21. Over here in Mustang Country we have Aniah Henderson and Nadia Watson returning for their senior year. A big girl Jordyn Patton who tore her ACL in the first scrimmage and we ended the year with wins over OF and LCM. I think with these 3 pieces we will have a shot to make one of the playoff spots.
  22. @Cardinal 1 I think my Mustangs will be very entertaining as well. We have size, quickness and I feel we shoot it better this year than people give us credit for. Last season torward the end we started shooting the ball pretty well. After we go on a long run in football we will get 2 of our top players on the court with Darren Anderson and lock down defender Jailon Brown. I think Coach C will have fun mixing those two in with the rest of what we have. Excited over here in Mustang Country for sure!!!
