Woodville’s offense has moved the ball pretty well although we’ve had a little trouble finishing drives at times. Defensively we’ve fought hard but haven’t had much luck stopping Newton other than a fumble off a high snap. Not disappointed at all so far 💛🦅💛

I hear a lot of key players actually had big gains during off season and summer workouts. It just hasn’t shown on the field so far. We’re probably in as good of shape as most other teams. It probably has more to do with focus, awareness, and will to win.

Mask are helpful although not 100% effective. How effective? IDK but it doesn’t hurt to wear one unless you have breathing issues or something. Vaccines aren’t 100% effective either and are causing allergic reactions for some folks.

😆 Sounds like your fed up. I understand you frustration but I still think there’s hope. To be fair Rusk QB is committed to Colorado or something and they had a move in from Magnolia playing WR. As far as the turnovers on offense there’s no excuse for that. They were young last year but they don’t have that excuse now

Judging by Woodville’s scrimmage this past Thursday I’d have to say Newton and it won’t be close at all. Secondary was garbage and offense turned the ball over like crazy. Also hear we might have some personnel missing. Hope everything is fixed quickly or it won’t be pretty week 1.

There’s different levels to the term “in shape”.

Depends on how big the gap is between your top guy and the next guy in line. If your top guy isn’t much better then you probably want to keep fresh bodies on the field. If your top guy is much better even when fatigued then keep him on the field.

It’s a difference between giving guys a second chance vs giving guys a third chance and putting fellow students at risk to do so.

1. Yea those 2 are always on this forum talking a whole lot of basketball......LOL 2. I was thinking you were probably defending Coach Thompson because he’s a good friend of yours too. If that’s the case there’s nothing wrong with that. 3. if there are plenty instances where your statement here stands true you may have a point. I’m probably not going through all his old posts to figure it out though. 4. The “small faction” has nothing to do with his post on this thread. 5. Not saying I believe his “racism allegations” are true but the majority of the school board and super being black doesn’t completely make it impossible for racism within the athletic department to be an issue. If someone has the right friends in the right places or they have some dirt on someone or something like that you never know what they could get away with.
