I would love to see Woodville continue to play Franklin but it looks like that probably won't happen because I think week 2 is already booked. Based on what I've seen on this thread it looks like we've pursued games with closer distance. Pretty sure if Franklin had offered a game we wouldn't have turned it down though

Power 5 QB along with at least one or 2 power 5 receivers for sure. Not sure what they got other than that though

Yea had a hard time moving the ball much and even when we did we'd end up negating it with a penalty. Couple calls were questionable in my opinion but maybe the refs know something I don't know.

Woodville gets the ball to start the second half. We have a chance to grab the momentum

Columbus up 21-7 at the half. Woodville didn't look too bad overall. Few miscues toward the end along with a weird blocked punt for Woodville in the first quarter that resulted in Columbus keeping the ball and getting a fresh set of downs

Tied at 7. 6 minutes left in the 1st half. Eagles defense looks good so far

Woodville has made a lot of small improvements in small areas this year. They've made enough mistakes to have learned their lesson about most things. Hopefully we get a good clean game Friday and may the best team win.

Just judging by final scores that would be the conclusion. But things aren't always what they seem.

Columbus has definitely played a solid schedule but other variables come into play at times also. Like Madisonville played Diboll at the start of the year when Diboll had a different QB. And I think Madisonville might not have been at full strength against Columbus. The Columbus/ Hitchcock game was very competitive first half then Hitchcock just fell apart second half.
