Lone Oak hasn't played anyone. They barely beat Rains. GS's best 2 wins are Palmer and Edgewood. Palmer's kind of hard to guage because they're in a different region but I'm guessing they're solid. Edgewood's defense is horrible. GS has good overall size and they have a very good qb/safety.

Your right. Common sense is not always applied in these formal situations though. Sometimes folks just get too technical and strictly go by what's written in the rule book.

Maybe. Although it seems pretty clear the filming was planned by Bishop to most of us he can make a good technical argument that he or his coaching staff didn't record anything. He will probably claim he wasn't aware the guy was recording also although he was sitting right next to him. Never know. Seems easy for some folks to find loop holes around UIL rules so I wouldn't be surprised

Right. I've seen plenty of big non athletic guys that don't do nothing but take up space . Which just taking up space is effective in itself sometimes but not always.

Woodville didn't play a perfect game but Shiro is also a decent team although Newton made them look like nothing. DBs definitely gotta tighten up and not get caught sleeping again though

Next 2 games should be interesting for Kountze. I think they have a chance to beat NW and could possibly give AS a good game

Eagles look to win out and secure the 2 seed in district 12. Anderson Shiro is probably the most challenging game left on the schedule. I got Woodville by at least 2 scores. Any thoughts on this game?

Yea, thanks for the heads up. I had district 10 and 11 mixed up. WR or Arp might be more favorable matches for us 1st round. Still looking at GS second round though

Yea, Grand Saline looks really good on paper but from the clips I've seen of them they're not a bad match up for us. We gotta make sure we finish district strong and take care of DF or Hooks first round first though

Looks like we'll likely get Grand Saline second round if we make it that far

I think the majority of Newton's Oline is graduating but then again the majority of our defense is graduating also. We'll just see what happens when the time comes. Meanwhile congrats on the win and good luck the rest of the season. Hopefully we'll get a rematch at the regional championship

Porter behind that line is hard for any 3A team to stop. Eagles defense fought hard and got some stops here and there but your going to have to be able to score more points to beat this Newton team and some of the other teams we might see in the playoffs also

Good win Newton. Woodville offense can't get nothing going. We gotta get all the playmakers involved in these type of games

Not a bad half minus a few big runs from Porter and a few mishandled snaps offensively. Eagles need to make a few adjustments and grind their way to a comeback second half
