Shiro's a decent team but they haven't been challenged much. Shepherd's the best team they've played and it looks like they were exposed defensively against Shepherd. Offensively Shiro is very good up front and I think they have a speedy back as well as a speedy QB. Newton's defense looks a little suspect but that's partially because they've played some really good teams. I think Newton wins this one fairly easily but it might be a little closer than years past. I predict Newton will score 36 or more and Shiro will score 22 or less.

Navasota's not that bad and they always play Madisonville close. Even a couple years back when Navasota missed the playoffs and Madisonville ended up losing to Silsbee in the 3rd round

Woodville seems like slight favorites on paper until you consider how Diboll lost to Madisonville by one point and Madisonville lost to Malakoff by one point. Should be a good test for Woodville. Hope the eagles can pull it off.

Besides cutting down on turnovers obviously we need K.Rigsby more involved in the offense. Also wouldn't hurt to have the big fella back on defense. You happen to know how long he'll be out?
