It is an "issue" because the district is "unable" to keep up with the growth. The growth has placed an unsustainable burden on the school district. It is not "great for the local economy" because there is very little tax revenue. There are no "lines" to be read between. Teachers do not have classrooms and rotate throughout the school for each period while other teachers are on conference. Students eat lunch on the floor because there is not enough room for tables and chairs in the cafeteria. Admin/teachers cannot manage the students safely because of the overcrowding. How much do you want know? There is a lot more.

3 rounds deep (especially in the lower classifications) frequently involves health of the team which is still “players”. As referenced in the initial post, Belechik did not forget how to coach. Many examples of great high school coaches that have great runs and then fall off when the talent dries up.

Until coaches can block, tackle and score TDs, it is the players that are most important.

Ware is a great coach. I also said that the best case scenario for this season was to replicate last year as Dayton did not have the same talent as last year. Injuries and the improvement of other district teams have detracted from the results. I have also repeatedly said that next year and the next several after will see Dayton contend for the District Championship and decent playoff runs. Nothing has changed and I stand by my statement. Ware runs the tightest discipline of any coach in the state and family and fans of players who fall to the discipline standards will frequently look for any reason to down the current staff.

If EC ends up tied with KV, It would be a 2 way tie with KV winning the head to head. OF and Anahuac would both have 2 losses.

I believe Kirbyville will defeat OF and own the tiebreak over EC and OF.

FYI, Willis does not have “less depth” than Woodlands. Willis has 9 D1 players.
