  1. Lon Morris @ Angelina moved to Sunday at 1pm also. LHP you playing in the Karl Young this summer?
  2. This is what we call payback because Lamar did not want to give Shon a scholarship, basically wanted him to walk on because he is a local guy, and all he is done is Freshman All-American, All Conf. at least twice and will be drafted or sign a FA contract at the end of this year which appears to be his best hitting over .360 on the season. Great Job Shon Landry!!!!
  3. AC wins game 2 6-3 to sweep the DH and move to 17-10 and 3-1 in conf. WP- Urbina HR- Hernandez Save- Gaeke Travel to Corciscana to face Navarro at 1pm Wed.
  4. The New rule is correct as MIF04 described, it was put in by the NCAA a year ago because all of the transfers, it also came with a minimum scholarship of 35% for 27 players on the roster with a Max of 35. Now if he transfer to a JUCO which he should not if he will start next year, the rule that applies is he must graduate from that JUCO with a 2 year degree b4 he can go back to another D1. This rule we are very familiar with since it applied to us. Johnny hang in there, MIF04 keep us updated and by the way how is that Ole Miss Rebel doing?
  5. New update as of Sunday night: Bossier @ Angelina 1pm Tuesday Angelina @ Navarro 12pm Wednesday NE @ Angelina 12pm Saturday
  6. Looks like a split day in the conferance. Bossier-Parish up Saturday @ Angelina noon start time.
  7. Eagle07 here is the official line on Kendal: 108 pitches 5.1 inn. 9 hits 5 runs 2 ER 4 BB 4 SO and no help from his offense 3 hits that include 2 solo HR's Game #2 Did not start well down 4-0 in first inning but Roadrunners kept battling until a clutch 2rbi single by Jerrod Dugas-LCM put the Roadrunners up 7-6, and that was followed by Jake Rowell-LCM rbi in the 6th to make it 8-6. Great relief effort from Ryan Smith-Foster and Miller Aldrich-A&M Consl. Jon Gaeke came on in the 9th and allowed Paris to score 3 runs and take a 9-8 lead. Bottom of the 9th the RR got a leadoff single from Greg Garcia-Pfulg. and then a error on the SS allowed Greg to move to third and Michael Padgett-BH to second. Dugas picked up his 3rd RBI of the day hitting a ground ball to second scoring Garcia. Up step Chas Hernandez-Deer Park with Padgett at third for his clutch single to win the night cap. WP- Jon Gaeke Hitters: Garcia- 3-5 Serna- 2-5 3b Dugas- 3-5 3rbis Rowell- 3rbi's Hernandez- 3-4 game winning RBI
  8. Angelina was a offensive machine against overmatched Cedar Valley from Dallas. 30 runs on 29 hits with 8 HRS and 4 2b and 1 3b LCM's Jake Rowell hits 3 HRs in the DH with 8 RBI's, Miller Aldrich-A&M Consl. and Leroy Urbina-Hutto also hit HR's in the first game a 12-0 win with pitcher Cory Benividous allowing only 2 hits. Game 2 also had LCM's Jerrod Dugas with a 2run HR, Michael Padgett-BH and Rick Hepworth-RR hitting bombs in a 18-1 victory for Elroy Urbina-Hutto. Roadrunners now 14-9 take the field next Wednesday to open conf. @ Paris.
  9. The Roadrunners head to Bossier City to play in the Bossier tourney against NE Oklahoma and Meridian in a DH begining at 1pm on Friday. I am hearing Meridian is a very good team. The RR have played at least 10 games against ranked teams. Look for Trey Rackel in game 1 and Cory Benividous in Game 2
  10. Broc is there, we have played Blinn 3 times so far and he has not pitched against us yet.
  11. It's a SWEEP, Great day for the Roadrunners, the 409 took care of Grayson 8-3, with Serna-WB, Dugas-LCM, and Rowell-LCM again, hitting HR's off of the #3 team in Juco. Trey Rackel threw a gem pitching 6 innings and only giving up 2 runs to get the win. AC now 4-5
  12. It will be up to Rackel and Thamm to right this ship but if the errors continue the Pitchers will need to throw no-hitters to win. Look for a few changes today, one player becomes eligible today and might be able to help but only time will tell.
  13. Here is a Jake update; He is now the starting catcher for Angelina and at the intersquad on Tuesday he looked good and he is throwing BB's to second. keep it up snake!!
  14. Not sure how accurate the Top 4 is but if that is the case it amazes me that you have all of the HC/AD applicants with proven success and they are not part of this????? Wow!! just not sure what the thinking is at LCMISD......but they have to live with it.
  15. If it is indeed true that Coach Alverez pulled his name than that is bad for LCM because he was a great option, but from what I understand he could not get information he wanted after making a few attempts. I will still say they need a proven HC/AD that has already turned a program around I just think going to a 4A school for your first HC/AD job and in a district as tough as this will only delay progress. Good luck to the remaining Coaches and the athletes that are waiting on a selection.
  16. Was able to catch the intersquad yesterday, and nothing has changed about this team, still should be a fine team. Saw Benividous on the hill he looks really strong, Parker and Geake along with Berrera and Tatum and Aldrich all threw, Gaeke has some interesting stuff from the left side both Aldrich and Tatum throw hard. Hitting is starting to come on, looking good yesterday was Rowell,Andreas both with shots to LF, Rakel and Hernandez can hit, really good team speed, there was a couple of outstanding backhands and diving in the middle by a certain SS that had Coach Livin fired up....his name I will leave off so I don't show bias. This team is ready, few nagging injuries but so far no major ones. Let's get this party started......
  17. Panola should be the team we battle for the title along with Navarro, they have a solid team with some local kids as well.
  18. OK update time, it appears the starters for the opening series against Blinn will be Trey Rackel and Kendal Thamm, nice combination these two are very solid, Positions are still competing as we speak, the MIF looks to be down to 3 Laird,Garcia and Dugas. Also Dugas has been playing some LF as of late to help with the depth. I like Rowell to open up at catcher, Hernandez 1B, Andreas-3B, Padgett-RF, Prestera-CF, Serna-LF(if not injured) if Serna is injured look for Crenshaw or Dugas(if not at SS/2B) to play LF. Also on a sad note please remember Kenny Allison in your prayers his Father passed away on Sunday after a long illness. Kenny is a great kid.
  19. Heard a rumor that Alverez pulled his name? can someone confirm or deny? sure hope not I would have thought he was surely in the Top 3
  20. I think it comes down to Alverez along with Kevin Hayes HC/AD from Teague, both have the experience of the position needed and success of turning programs into proven winners that compete at a high level. I understand the Love for Harrell and Crouch but this job really needs someone who has done it before, walks in and begans the turnaround immediatly. For those that continue to say WHY LCM?? remember AD is in the title, and not only do they have first class facilities(better than most schools) but they have winning programs Vollyball, Baseball, Softball always year end and year out in the playoffs, Basketball Boys begining a tradition of playoff trips under Coach Harley. CC always strong so it is a excellent program to be associated with.
  21. Watched a little practice on sunday and man is there some talent out there, to quote a Coach " The best talent he has ever had at Angelina, now if he can work them hard enough to play up to the talent level. Some moves made, Rowell from LCM has moved behind the plate and will split time with Chris Jones-A&M Cons. Hernandez looks great at first, Andreas-Brenh. has picked his game up at Third but no depth behind him, the middle could have the best battle Dugas-LCM,Laird-Ned and Garcia-Pflu. will battle for 2 positions. OF looks good with Serna-WB and Prestera-HC along with Padgett-BH. Some young depth behind the OF and Local Kenny Allison-Cent. is looking bettter and better. Rotation I keep hearing is Rackel-MC,Benividous-Friend,Thamm-BH and Smith-Foster as the 4 but Parker-Splen will also get a look, watch for Tatum-Lufk. to close. More to follow.....
  22. Doing a little research myself I found this: Applicants with HC/AD experience, and I still have more to check: Kevin Hayes-Teague HS HC/AD Greg Morgan- Madisonville HS HC/AD Leonard McAngus- Northwest HS HC/AD
  23. Excellent info CoachTroy keep this coming, that is 2 very qualified coaches for LCM to look at.
  24. I have to go with either Launius OC Trinity one of the best offense in D3, or Satcher DC Clear lake plays with the big boys in Houston 5A
  25. Nice list with some College Coaches, Out of State Coaches and some strong in state Coaches. Hoop could you list what there current position is? Evangel Christian one of the most respected programs in the country....
