  1. Did not see #14 Pike. Did he get moved to varsity?
  2. A little sloppy with too many dropped balls and a porous offensive line, but its early. Good news is the Broncos have more depth with quality athletes and are being led by an enthusiastic coaching staff. Looking for good things this season from the Broncos!
  3. I hope they spray for mosquitoes this year! Last time there, the Broncos won the game but I lost the battle with the mosquitoes. No Zika!
  4. Also noticed Quinn Wood is listed as DC. Did he hold that title last year?
  5. You would think the results would be posted on the Dayton ISD Athletic Track page, but the track meet schedule is all I saw there. I hope a better effort is made to update information on their website.
  6. Thanks for the excellent updates Hoopster!
  7. I do not think nor did I state turnovers were the primary reason BH lost to Rudder. There a numerous things you could point to including who comes into the game off the bench at particular times and others you have pointed out.I would think that those issues will be worked on. I am just a fan who enjoys watching the game, not a coach. I have attended a lot of the Lady Eagles games since around '96 and followed them in the paper some before that. I hope they have even greater success in the future, as I'm sure you do too.. .
  8. The difference between last year and this year was very evident. The emergence of the young players and their confident play was a pleasure to watch. Of course, Charli's growth as a player was evident also. The next two years for them should be very exciting. There is always room for improvement and I hope to see fewer turnovers and more contested three point attempts, but again congratulations on a great season to all involved with the Barbers Hill Lady Eagles..
  9. After watching both semi-final games Friday, I didn't see this coming. Congratulations to the Crosby Lady Cougars for making the big step to the State Tournament. Good Luck!
  10. Rudder shot lights out and played a good overall game. Congratulations to them. The six point turnaround at the end of the third hurt Barbers Hill, but they were in the game all the way. Congratulations to the Eagles on a great season.
  11. Does Cleveland have a gym with the seating capacity to handle the playoff crowd? It has been a number of years since I have attended a game there.
  12. Don't remember the score, but North Shore won big over Clear Falls. Game was played in Phillips prior to Barbers Hill and George Ranch.
  13. Great game by the Lady Broncos, supported by a good crowd from Dayton! Good luck in the next game.
  14. Thanks for the link.
  15. Half-time show was terrible. Leave race and the politics out and put on a good show. I hope the same performers are not in the next Super Bowl show.
  16. I think we will find out by the end of the current school year if not sooner. It's just AD/HC Nations first day on the job.
  17. Congratulations to these three, they are very deserving of the honor. I attended a couple of the playoff games the last two years and of course the games against Dayton. A lot of good players in Crosby lately.
  18. Who was the Defensive Coordinator for Dayton last year? The program listed Hancock as the Head Coach and all the remaining coaches were not listed as to what responsibility they had.
  19. The Hill looked very good last night with all players getting a lot of playing time. The Soph phenom is looking better and stronger with each outing and is getting strong play and support from all the other players. A warm-up game with a top team would probably benefit them before getting into the playoffs. Next couple of years look promising for them.
  20. Barbers Hill 76 - Porter 27
  21. I am sure many in Dayton are waiting to see who will be on Nation's staff and in what capacity.
  22. Since no official announcement has been made by the district, I don't think the list of applicants would have already been released. The Dayton job should have generated considerable interest, and I too would love to see who applied.
  23. Will the list of applicants be made public?
  24. Barbers Hill is young and should get better with more experience. They appear to be missing Philips, who is at Baytown Lee this year.
