Ya been to a couple of HJ game and then of course follow them. We all knew this matchup was coming and should be the most intense series to this point. HJ and HH really never cared for each other and the fan base for both teams usually are fairly intense. I am  pumped! One of the guys up top said blowout in game 2.........I just dont see a blowout in either direction.

I agree about not being a blowout.

They are almost identical teams! Here are my differences watchin both teams play.

    1. Neither team has the advantage of the mound. Good pitching but not anyone going to throw it by you. Speaking from Huffman, fairly deep in pitching. Just not that flame thrower that will shut it down.

    2. Team Speed - Advantage HJ. They are aggressive and will steal bags. Huffman does not typically steal a ton of bases.

    3. Batting - Advantage Huffman. Huffman got absolutely hot at the right time as a team? Huffman is very aggressive at the plate. Will play small ball.  HJ will freaking swing it too!

    4. Defensively - Both teams solid defensively. Huffman had 1 bad game against Livingston where we booted it around. Other than that, solid defensively. Middle IF for HJ pretty salty.

So i guess we got three games. Game 3 goes 14 innings and whatever teams poops out! LOL You think there will be a little chirping among the dugouts? LOL Don't think there is any love loss here and both feel like they deserve the shot at moving on. Bring it!

Have you seen HJ play this season?

Never said that, LCM has had problems and still do. Nothing or no one is perfect. If LCM had to forfeit because they screwed up I would be all for it. Right is right and wrong is wrong. That’s just how I was raised and the way I raise my children. Look I know Bc wanted a DC in baseball but wouldn’t it be better to win a state championship? I’m just tired of hearing it. For the record I did some checking around and heard again that Griff did not turn them in. If anyone with ties to LCM message me and tell me if he did please. Or Griff personal me please..

You did some checking around huh? I'm sure those LCM fans you checked with told you Griff didn't do it. He 100% did it. In fact he has now said "if I knew they was gonna get in trouble for it, I wouldn't have turned them in".

Silsbee is not going to even get out of the first round

If Silsbee can limit the errors, and scratch for a few runs they can send Huffman packing.  Corbin is a dang good pitcher, and getting Uribe back on the mound is a big plus for Silsbee.

**Didn't get the chance to listen to this game, but I'm guessing the Bulldogs rested most if not all of their starters.

What's the point of resting starters in baseball? I get you may not throw a pitcher a whole game and let others get work in on the mound, but no chance am I sitting starters in the field.  I'm trying to get my guys ready for the playoffs, and that ain't happening on the bench.

OK.  Say it is indeed Coach Griffith that did report the violations to the 22-4A DEC....and by the way my source did indicate it was Coach Griffith who reported it.  Where has your FACT gotten you?

Would he have been ok by, if it was him, just saying "It's not a big deal, so I won't say anything."  Actually no. the UIL Constitution, Sec. 51 specifically states that, "Any covered school district personnel (all contest sponsors) who by act or omission causes a student representative or a member school to do or fail to do any more of those actions or omissions listed below shall be in violation of the Constitution and Contest Rules."

Subsection (a)(6) under that section is "failing to report known violations in a timely manner or withholding information."

Thus, if Coach Griffith, or whoever reported the violations, was made aware of the violations by BC, even though those violations were unintentional, and did not report them, he would have been in violation of UIL rules and could have subjected LC-M to sanctions by the UIL or District 22-4A.

Did Coach Griffith, or whoever reported it, violate Section 51 by not timely reporting the alleged violations?  Sure, three games elapsed from the time BC first used an ineligible player to the time it was reported.  But was there even an allegation made to the 22-4A DEC that he did not timely report the violations?  There is no indication that I was made aware of that any such allegation was made against Coach Griffith and there sure was no finding by the 22-4A DEC to that effect.

What the real FACT is, whether it had been Steve Griffith, Randy Crouch or those that say it was Edd Trotter or Dwayne Dubois, whatever was reported to the 22-4A DEC was, by the vote of voting members of the committee, determined to have merit and warrant the forfeiture of 3 of the Cardinal's victories.

Believe me, I know that BC fans are mad about this and want either Coach Landry or Coach DeShazo to exact what they feel is their warranted pound of flesh (figuratively anyway) in the baseball playoffs or, if not then, on the football field or baseball diamond in the 2019-20 school year.

I know because I was there 27 years ago when a report by LC-M to the district committee forced WO-S to forfeit a number of games that had them going from winning a district championship to missing the playoffs altogether.  To this day, I want the Mustangs to make their side of a scoreboard look like a pinball machine when they play LC-M.  And you also know what, that disdain hasn't done me a damned bit of good.

That fact hasn't gotten me anything, but I do believe everyone has a right to know who it was so it could end all the "speculation".  I know who your source is, and I know y'all are good friends. If I had to speculate, you knew who it was at the time I made the original comment.  Considering your sources relationship to one of the parties involved, he would definitely be one that knew who brought it to light.
