Your Fans were trying to attack our players after the game and the police in your town were in the face of our players instead of doing their job of protecting our players on their way off the field. If Livingston had done that to any team I would be ashame. Now that is the truth, I could say a lots more that happen but I will leave it at that, because there is always two sides to a story. I'm not going to justify Livingston and you sure can't justify Vidor, the whole night was a disgrace to High School Football. [/quote] i usually just come on here and read all the opinions about the games...but this one i just couldnt stay away from....you have to be kidding me...the play that started all this was actually on the channel 6 sports show last night...you can clearly see #14 taunting our QB after he had just be given the flag...in fact when it happened live we actually thought he was walking over to our coaches to say he was sorry until we realized he was taunting...which he continued to do the entire game...great player and i don't blame him...the coaches should have pulled him after maybe like the 5th time he taunted our players and fans...i think it worked against him because it only fired the players and the fans up....the last Go Pirates Go chant was prolly the loudest i have ever heard and it was all do to his actions...now football is football and being a former player you get all kinds of extra stuff on the field...no doubt...but tonight one guy was too obvious and it hurt his team... And Soulja technically their was no way for Vidor not to be in the playoffs but on paper they weren't.

[/quote] Vidor was not in the playoffs before this game but still does not excuse either team of their actions.

I think we can all agree that this catastrophe could've been avoided if the officials would have used preventative officiating rather than a poor excuse of reactionary officiating. They became spectators of the game.

I'm with you on this one Coach C. You want to go into post season play on a high note with a lot of momentum. I don't the coaching staff holding anything back during the beginning of this game. Pull the dogs off after you have a comfortable lead, if we get one.

I have said this time and time again, Coach Mathews is one of the classiest guys I know. He never stops fighting for equal calls and his, as well as others, players safety. I have yet to see another coach beat him to an injured player whether it be one of his own or an opposing player. That alone speaks volumes for him.

Vidor scored 66 on them and I can honestly say even being down by that much those boys still played to the last whistle. My hat is off to that group of young men.

I commend those dedicated men and women who manage, moderate, and post on this site. I may not post or comment a lot but I check site practically everyday to get my HS football fix. Y'all are doing a wonderful job. Keep up the good work.

We lost to a very good Ned team in a hard fought close battle. That doesn't take say from the hype though.

Vidor takes this one by at least 10. Home field advantage plus this being a berth game will fire the Pirates up, add that to the intensity they already play with only means trouble for the Lions.

Livingston has clinched because anyone they tie in record they have already beat so they win the head to head.

At one point it was 28-0 and he felt as if a PF flag should have been thrown against PNG. He wasn't letting it go, so I stood up, turned around and said, my god what more do you want?!? It's 28-0 for Christ sake!! Later in the 3rd, PNG was in TD range and there was a hard hit on PNGs QB. He started yelling again, I was pissed by that point, I spun around so fast and said some things to him. Needless to say, I never heard his loud mouth after that...... [/quote] There were some, for both sides, that should've been called. Regardless of score you have to call a PF when it happens, especially when they keep on happenning, when they don't get called is when games get out of hand. Think if it was your son out there getting way after the whistle, you would expect something to happen right?

My hat goes off to the fans that stayed for both teams. Not dogging the ones who didn't stay because it sure was cold, especially with that north wind blasting in. I was a little upset with everyone leaving only because they were my wind block! Great game by PNG,fought hard until the end. Every team goes through their rebuilding stages but it makes it easier with a good fan base like y'alls. Looking forward to see them in the next couple of years. 

I lived in La. Last year and would make frequent, every Friday Vidor played, trips back home to watch the pirates play. During post season Vidor played on a Saturday and the local high school where I was was hosting the third round playoff game. I drove to the stadium hoping I could somehow manage to get a ticket. Not only were there more than enough tickets, I sat 50 yd line mid way up; and sat comfortably with no one closer than 5 yds to me. There was maybe 400 fans max for the home who's farthest drive was 10 minutes tops. The thing that was the kicker for me was that I, an outsider who had no dog in the fight, got more upset over bad calls than the people who had children playing. For me it looked like this was a huge social party. With that said I'm very glad I live in SETX where I am surrounded by teams with huge fan bases and like minded people who get very involved in the games.

If Vidor can play with the same intensity they did against Central and fix the missed tackles in the backfield, offsides, and unnecessary penalties this should be over quick. Defense needs to stay tight and not lose focus. Offense to strike first, strike hard, and strike often.
