  1. So basically Big Ned wants revenge since they lost their homecoming (how depressing) to Livingston 55-50. Now I'm not a football buff but that sounds to me like neither of the two defenses were clicking on all cylinders to let a collective 100+ points be scored in 48 minutes of football. If they couldn't stop Livingstons offenses how do they expect to "figure out their needs and adress it" to stop Vidor's. Something doesn't make since.
  2. You m \y friend have showed more class than most, and i like it. Good game and we'll see yall next year at new Reservation.
  3. Lets lock and load guys. The players need to come out pumped and we need to greet them with a thunderous roar thar doesn't subside until 30 minutes after we take the "W"!!!!!!
  4. Just a gut feeling here but I think we only put the pigskin on the turf 1 time Friday night... again just a gut feeling... my boy TR has a huge night along with Mr. Peevey and Mr. Pittman. The Offense line will bust off the line with Mr. Moose Burns and Mr. Chase Groves plowing the way. The Defense will come large and in charge. TIME TO KICK THE TIRES AND LIGHT THE FIRES BOYS OOORRAAAAAHH! I agree with you, CC. The defense has been the life force in our games, especially in the second half of the last few games. Hitting hard and hitting often. I'd like to see us get some early hits in on PN-G behind the line and set the tone early. And Reynolds is a beast. If he can keep his hands on the ball, he should have no problem picking up big yards against the Injuns. I'm ready for Friday, anybody else? We three ought to sit together since we are the life force of this thread. And like one of the bloggers said "Ready is an understatement." Coach Comeaux I have to add to your statement about the guards, the tackles will also be plowing the way; getting downfield and busting linebackers up while on other plays making sure the QB doesn't get hit. I've been watching the way the tackles have performed all year and with each game they increasingly get better. Hopefully they will be a driving force Friday night.
  5. Exactly. We have to stop beating ourselves which in turn allows our opponent to finish the job. If we get another massive case of the butterfingers like we did against Ozen, we will lose. There is no way to sugarcoat turnovers. If we play like we are capable, minus the turnovers, Vidor by two touchdowns. See Cutlass I like this post alot better and will agree with. Fumble are inexcusable but when made the team that accesses the situation the best will control the game. But that's why its high school football football not pro, mistakes like that are expected to happen but should be accessed in a professional and punctual manner. Hopefully Coach Mathews and his staff has approached and conquered this reoccurring issue.
  6. If you think you can do a better job of coaching fumbles, interceptions, and clock management, Rusted Cutlass, practice starts at 8 Monday morn I anticipate your arrival to see just how tremendous of a coach you are. But if your going to get on here and anonymously bash a team that you "support and have love for" then stay at home and hide behind your cowardace facade of idiocracy. Is that what your coaches did run y'all till y'all puked for making a mistake that happens in high school football all across the nation. If so y'all must have been pretty good at track because y'all obviously never had anytime to run plays and learn y'alls criteria. To everyone who asked about #22 benching it was because of his inability to hang on to the ball. I don't want to hear anyone bashing him either cause I love him like a brother and light into anyone that does so, but it was not his ankle. He never had an ankle problem. LOL! I love how when any Vidor fan is critical of continued mistakes you start saying we should try to be the coach. What a dumb answer. Mathews and staff did NOT properly manage the clock, cutting down on our time to run plays. If you find that acceptable, well, I guess no one can help you. Vidor hasn't played in the postseason for so long you are used to it and find it acceptable. I still think we can do better. Maybe one day you will get on board and realize that I only criticize so that fans like you cannot continue to make excuses of why we are not in the playoffs every year. Get used to it. But we'll never get there with the poor showing we had against Ozen. Sugarcoat it all you want, but it was horrible. Monday morn practice was lonely without you out there telling us how to run it. Yet again it shows that you prefer to reside in the sanctity of your home that way no one will know who is trying to run the team via blog. I was there waiting on you to show up, your no better than No Show Jones about making it to your appointments. Anyone can coach from the stands or their house no problem, but getting on the field when you have hundreds of people meticulously watching and critiquing every move you make its gets a little exasperating. But then again when you played yall probably went 10-0 therefore giving you the knowledge of Don Schula....wait no team in Vidor history has went undefeated so that couldn't be plausible. So did you go to a college to obtain all this knowledge or what? Because by the way your constructing your sentences you think we are all inferior and imbeciles to the world of football and that you have the only true understanding of how the game should be played. Please enlighten the rest of the world with your knowledge and canny understanding of the sport. You seem to be contentious and territorial when I asked how you would've handled the situation...why is that so?
  7. I agree that is another problem we have been having. Ozen's little fast back I believe #21, showed us we need to break down and keep him in front of us instead of going for the highlight hit. I do not know if PN-G has anyone with his elusiveness but if they do, we need to work on keeping them in front of us.... wrap up and wait for help. That and I have noticed throughout the season we don't gang tackle as well as some other teams. Another thing the coaches may look into working on.
  8. I'm sure the defensive coordinator has been working tackling drills till those boys are blue in the face. But like we all have said and agreed upon Vidor needs to hang on to the ball case in point.
  9. Wow, so you thought he was serious about the whole hands in the car doors thing. Wow, lighten up. No I just think he could've came up with something better than that, you know being the president of a Football Club and all. You figure somewhere within all the years of being a president you gain some wisdom about football and know how to critique and make suggestions but I'm not going to make any assumption from here on out. President Carter could've said something more logical than that. Well I guess since this isn't the place the problem will be fixed nor the place the fix to the problem will be found, it really did not matter what I said. And I guess I am just not up to your standards Pirate78. I am all ears to your fix to the problem. I did not mean it in a demeaning way I'm just saying I did not understand your logic behind slamming hands in a door. And it is not my problem to fix but I'm sure Coach Mathews has faith in the excellent staff he has employed to fix the problem. But your right the problem will not get fixed by us bashing each other on here. We will find out Friday if Coach Mathews and his staff have fixed the problem or not. Sorry for any miscommunications or degrating Coach Comeaux.

  11. So Coach Comeaux do you tell your kids to slam their hands in car doors before every game? And no vidorpirate I graduated in 78 when Carter was preaching bout farming.
  12. Coach Comeaux your just as bad as Rusted Cutlass, if you think slamming your hand in a car door will help you tackle somebody your gravely mistaken. The only thing that will help is to get a ride to the emergency room while nurse your broken knuckle. Whether there be an underlying message or not that was probably the most ignorant thing I read on here by far. But then again it is easy to say what needs to be done on the football field and in practice from the sanctity of your own home. I do agree with the fumble issue, the ball cannot be dropped. You drop the ball you lose the game, its that plain and simple. If Vidor can hang on to the ball they will come out victorious. By the way, where exactly do you coach at Coach Comeaux? Pirate78 you have to be kidding right...you live in Vidor and dont know who Coach Comeaux is.....thats funny....Comeaux I agree with you....lol Honestly no I do not and I have asked around and nobody knows so please enlighten me PiratesLife.
