2.

Quirante 40 jags 21
Should be player of the week and hands down district MVP and still not enough praise for this kid, just incredible what this kid does on the football field every week.
Not just the head ref...the entire staff was horrible. I understand you miss calls, he'll I'm a baseball umpire and a tournament director I understand, but to miss the blatant and butcher the rest. That's just inexcusable.
 3. This has got to be a record breaker for most flags in one game.
 4. Thanks for the information. Was just about to leave an decided to check setxsports for the LCM Ozen score, I would've one furious Pirate to have to wait though I do hope all involved in the accident are ok.
 5.

PNG fans leaving :)
smh....so much for the almighty png fan base.  8)
; ;D ;D ;D
 6.
We'll see what BF pulls out of his bag of tricks after halftime. I'm calling it. Watch for trick plays on this first drive and if they score watch for an onside kick.
Every coach in the league will be looking for an onside kick at this point. If PNG does it they will only be giving a good team great field position.
 7. I told myself I wouldn't post on here but I hardly ever listen to myself anyway. First and foremost, tremendous game by Ned. Y'all have a very stout d-line with great db's to back them and the offense was very. Though there were calls that weren't called it went for both sides. We had too many unforgivable penalties and mental busts. I do believe everyone for their money's worth from tonight's game. If you can't say that you need to quit watching football and take up underwater basket weaving. Good luck to Ned in future games.
 8. Rusted knows exactly what he is talking about, though is facts are a little shaky. Rusted, we rolled out to pass several times. The times we did the qb went the right way then there was no blocking or the blocking was there and the qb rolled out the wrong way. The only way I know that is because I am a 3 yr letterman of those play and know the blocking scheme/backfield motion scheme. Like I said though, the team that comes ready to play would take home the W. Not to say Vidor is a bad team by any means but we did not show up to play and looked like we at a funeral on the sidelines. It was completely dead. For all the Pirate players that read this you need to take something from it, you can't play good without enthusiasm. The only game I seen any enthusiasm at was the Nederland game and looked what happened. The rest of the games yall have completely silent on the sidelines, don't be afraid to make some noise.
 9. I am really looking forward to this game. It will be very intense as always. Hate to hear that Lumberton has some injuries. I pray them a speedy recovery. Not too excited about playing in Raider Country again but there is nothing we can do about it. The bottom line is the team that comes out with a fire under the tail will take home the W in this one. Good luck to both teams.
 10.
Cant take anything away from Vidor they played a good game.  I completely respect our coaches but come on even I could see that they call plays that didn't work the first 4 times we ran them and then do not call a play again that did work.  The boys aren't perfect but they are working their butts off.  They made some mistakes of course but they cant change the coaches crazy calls.  They get out there and do their best with a heavy heart knowing that the coaches sometimes loose their mind and call ridiculas plays.  Frustration and pressure are getting to them.  Its hard to tune out all the critisim.
If you look back at the game Vidor ran some up the middle plays that did not work very well in the beginning of the game. They then decided to run out of the same formation but hand the ball off to the outside. This resulted in some yards gained and it took the attention off the middle. Vidors coaching staff realised this and that is why you saw two 50+ yd carries from up the middle.
 11.

The seating in Kirbyville is TERRIBLE! We keep season tickets and the seats are so narrow and no room to get by so we buy 4 seats for 2 people. People think Kirbyville fans stand up the whole game because they 're excited. WRONG! Its because the knees of the people behind you kill your spine! Love to have seen them add some high end seats when they added the new press box. Seat backs, arm rests and drink holders. I would have spent what ever it cost and I am sure a lot of others would have too.
Amen!!I think we nees to do like Hempill did, there fans had to by there seats, the really nice ones, and then you buy your season tickets and when you dicide you dont want your season tickets later down the line the school inharets your seat to sell.....I think everyone needs to voice our opions to the school board...maybe we as fans need to speak up! Its not like we dont support our boys!!
So basically you are donating seats to the school. Why should fans have to donate their seats because the school board neglected to provide sufficient seats? Sounds like some people are getting the shaft in Hemphill.
 12. teeboan take offence all you want but that is just horrible sportmanship that needs to be addressed. An official should not walk off the field until the clock reads zero. This is coming from an official so I hope maybe you will get the picture. All you do is whine because people blame the refs, maybe they are doing it for a reason. If you people from both teams say the official were horrible then maybe, just maybe, they were. If you are tired of people complaining then call a better game, I've tried it, works wonders!
 13. Keep in mind LLWS umpires do not get paid. I agree with the statement "if you call teeball for free in TX you better be thick skinned" I am a baseball umpire and have heard some quite nasty things. Atleast football referees have quite a bit of distance from the fans. Us baseball umpires have about 10-20 ft depending where you call and we can hear every word clearly.
 14. To answer on field conditions, Babe is always is terrible place to play at. Huge divets on the, mounds of ants and the field is not level on any point. Not making excuses it will play the same for both. In my experience, which i based on a few years back, Babe was the worst field I played. Now that's my personal oppinion take as you wish. Now as far Vidor's line not being strong is a lie. There are several of their lineman that hold state and national records in various powerlifting associations, which is not easy to come across because I powerlift in opposing associations myself and know that to obtain one of those records is a great feat. Also, as mentioned before, I was present at the lineman challenge last where the Jags got beat. I know yall say football can't be compared to a lineman challenge and thats true, but a lineman challenge is based on three major components, Endurance Mental Toughness and Desire to finish the task at hand while promising your teammates to not give up on them. On several of the events, one in particular where the boys were asked to carry a 600 lbs mat between 6 of them, the Jags lineman deliberatly quit and refused to proceed in the event. The only way they finished was with the coach standing 3 yards away from them yelling so loud people on the other end of town could hear him. Now with this being said I hope it's a good game with my Pirates coming out on top. I hope Coach Mathews has prepared them properly for the tough matchup to take place in approximately 19 hours!
 15. Now just because you send scouts to a game doesn't mean your scared. I for one don't blame them for sending scouts. I can remember going and scouting Central , Nederland, and PNG back in the day.
 16. They start teaching them at a young age. we start teaching them at a young age here, also, and they do really good in peewee through senior league. our kids usually win really big under these dad coaches, but when they get to junior high, it all falls apart. can anyone tell what the problem is????? Which Pirate are you? Red+White or Black+Gold?
 17. Nicely Wrote..From what i hear My Nephew told me that they've been through every snapper this week..so this should get better,,Other than that your Accurate on all points..And the Secondary Should get better these are all 1st time starters so just a few early season Jitters.. And your right..This years Defense Brings the Hat HARD ..Cant wait for the Vidor, Central Game Thats good to here...I hope Central puts it on them!! I certainly don't condone injuring players on purpose, but Central D, hit the Peerats hard enough that when L-Town plays them and makes the first hard hit they have flashbacks and get scared. I don't think anyone could hit Vidor's line hard enough to scare them haha. ;D As far as Lumberton goes, I hope it's another loss for yall just like what happened last year.

Six says one; half a dozen says another. ;D whats that suppose to mean? Seems that no one taught you analogies. It means that some people will agree with you and some won't. I don't know about y'all but I was at the Vidor HJ game last night and i seen some of Vidor's O-line playing D-line as well all throughout the game 4 quarters. So this goes to show that only can they play 4 quarters on offense but they do it on d as well.

 20. As good as any other prediction on this board tonight! : I do have to say it is. I have seen some outrageous prediction from alot of people on this site this season.
 21. I've seen these linemen for Vidor first hand, and these kids are huge! Heck, they gotta be eating something... :o I'll tell you first hand these kids put down alot of food, I've seen them eat. That's not to say that they are out of shape and won't be able to go when called upon. I got a chance to talk to some of Vidor's starting offensive line (which played last year and went 4 quarters in every game), they said they ran 4 miles a day in addition to what the rest of the team was required to do for the summer camp. You're telling me that these boys who went 4 quarters last year in every game that has ran 4 mile everyday during the summer can't go 4 quarters!?! You got to be joking me. Everyone knows that Vidor's O-line plays rough and tough every game every down all 4 quarters. If you think I'm lying ask some of the D-line that has played against them. Not saying they can't go 4 quarters against marginal/mediocre teams. Just saying 20-4A is not a "private school" league (TAPPS,etc.). And, all of the pre-season hype will mean squat when district play begins. In my humble opinion, Central will wear down the Pirates. We'll see. I'm just saying these boys went 4 quarters last year (without a problem) against the same boys they will be playing this year. I'm not degrading anyone's defense but to say that a team in district 20-4A will wear Vidor's O-line down is just absurd. I have the upmost respect for every team in Vidor's district but I highly doubt that any team will wear Vidor down so much deeming them unable to finish the game. Can you name me one game where one single player on Vidor's O-line did not finish a game (excluding injuries)? And I believe someone last year compared Vidor's O-line to Lidocaine "Vidor's O-line is like lidocaine, they slowly wear you down bit by bit and BAM they bust one." And if I'm not mistaken these are the same boys who played on the line last year. yes they went 4 quarters with all the district teams last year, and what place did they end up in? Even though that is nonsequitor they didn't finish too well. The point being is that Vidor's O-line WILL go 4 quarters in every game unless an injury occurs, which we all hope doesn't happen.
 22. Has anyone called the OC for Vidor to let him know so they can change their gameplan...heard they been passing alot this year .
 23. Hawk vs. the cold steel blade wielded by an unrelenting Pirate. Who wins? ;D Haha I'm just messing with y'all. I hope it's a good game and wish both teams the best.
