Not only did they spend too much money on press box, the laptop program is ridiculous. I have a 90 lb 7th grader with twigs for legs carrying a laptop bag, huge back pack, athletics bag and purse all day. Doesn't have time to go to locker. Then on days when she has a project due I have to carry things in. Half the time the laptop can't connect to internet for her to do homework.

Funny they won't remodel the stadium but they didn't hesitate to make that Press box larger than life...It sticks out all the way from I-10.  Sorry to see BH this way.  I always heard good things about BH (Academics and Athletics) before we moved here but now it's quite the opposite, at least for athletics.

Coach Byrd is not only a great influence on the field but in the class room too. My daughter to this day still mentions his name at least once a week.  Great person,  I think he's a keeper on so many levels. Thanks Coach Byrd for everything you do.

There will never be a coach who will please everybody all the time, it's just not gonna happen.  Not in BH or anywhere else. And before anyone jumps all over me: No I don't know Price personally, and Yes I have 2 athletes at BH and none of them are boys.  This is just my opinion.  Everyone have a Great Day!

Thanks Momma2. She did well this weekend. She finally figured out the hitting thing, been in a slump for a while. Just found out our play doesn't have a broke elbow. Don't know how long she out, but at least its not broke. See you in Plano.

Which teams did ya'll play? They played my DD team on Sunday, Texas Attack, they beat us 9-1. Unfortunately I think our team forgot to show up Sunday. We also lost a player this weekend, broke her elbow in game against Orange Crush. Hopefully they will regroup for next weekend in Plano.

We had hoped to see a few but our games didn't start until 4 on Sat and Sunday they played same time we did. Maybe we'll get to catch a few some other weekend.

Congratulations on the great start. Looks like I'll be watching a lot of games this year since my youngest has decided she loves Volleyball. Keep up the good work.

I'm not going anywhere. My kids love the schools and have considered becoming teachers and come back to BH. So we are here to stay. I never said anything about how things were done where I came from. BH definitely better overall, I just don’t understand the ones that spend all that time sucking up. Kids should get it on their ability, not who their parents know. I always tell my kids academics WILL get you through life; the rest teaches you HOW to get through. This thread needs to get back to the topic, or better yet be done and move on to this week’s game. I know this year has a great group of kids and just talked to a few and they are working hard. GOOD LUCK THIS SEASON!

I don't think the problem is move-ins not having talent. More like if you're not "from the hill" youre not given the opportunity. Eagleseyes showed the typical BH mentality of go back where you came from no invited you here. Don't get me wrong, not everyone is like that though.

I was just stating my opinion about the current coaching staff, not all but some. By the way apparently I’m not the only one who shares that opinion, but was one of the few that was singled out. Sorry to hurt your feelings Coach Yzquierdo . I had actually heard lots of good things about you, I was told you were one of the few coaches that actually pushed the kids & made them want to win and the kids were sad to see you go. But I guess I heard wrong since you took my opinion personally and just threw a hissy fit like a little girl. You are right FOOTBALLFEVER99 it was just a scrimmage but I was just going by what I’ve seen in the past few seasons. Good luck to this year’s group of kids and COACHES, make it a good one.

The old “BH is one of the smaller 4A schools in the state†thing is old. They can’t use that excuse any more. They definitely need a coaching change, running the same play over and over is not working. They need to push these boys harder. I remember when we first moved here, their last year in 3A, practices looked tough, now not so tough. The offensive line doesn’t seem to hit as hard as they should, almost like they are afraid of getting hurt. I’m not a huge football fan and I could be wrong, but that just my opinion.

DD team out too. Worked through losers bracket for a few game after losing to GT Shockets. Congrats to those who are still playing.

Any update on rain delay? DD sent text saying her game changed because outfield was "too wet". Not sure how the fields hold water?

Looks like my DD team will start the week off against GT Shockers Gold. I'm gonna have to try to get out of work for that.

I pre-treat with a spray of some kind then soak whites in Oxyclean for 20-30 minutes and then wash as usual. I also put a small scoop of Oxyclean in my wash. I've also been told but not tried, a capful of Spick & Span added to laundry load. Yes, the liquid kind you clean your floors with, it's orange.

This is only her 2nd exposure tourney so she is still a little nervous. She is really nervous about playing in the Allstar games they have, but she did say it's getting easier.
