It was a good game. Challengers came out on top by 2 though.

My daughters team plays Intensity for their first game tonight.

[/quote] I completely agree.  On another thread I got reamed for screaming politics, but BH is full of it.  Kids do get special treatment if athlete and parent works for school or contributes lots of money.  I know, I have experienced it first hand.  I know many kids, my own included who has lost love for chosen sport due to BH politics.  It's really sad.

I feel sorry for the kids who get their spot because of Mommy & Daddy sucking up to the coach.  When they grow up and go out into the real world they will suffer because they don't understand they need to work for what they want.  No one is there to coddle them. The kids who get looked over because Mom & Dad don't play those games will be better for it in the end I hope.  They will either appreciate what they have and be proud they can do it on their own or just give up, but either way I think they will learn from it.  It all depends on their drive & how bad they want it.

I have seen quite a few BH athletes lose their love for the game due to "politics" on the Hill.  Yes I know it's everywhere, but it's got to stop if BH really wants to compete any further that winning District or past one round of playoffs.

My daughter met him yesterday and said she was impressed and excited.  That's a lot coming from someone who usually wouldn't even mention it.

No One thinks that would be the answer! It's all according to who people define as athlete's for some reason everone feals that if a player doesn't have Div I or II talent then he should be labeled as non athletic. There are athletes at BH and you do not need DIV I talent to win, it helps but no garuntee that it will get you any where. I doubt there is sabatoging going on as well and if there was they would be risking their job to do so. [/quote] Well mine is defiantly not D1 material, but anyone who knows her would not label her as non-athletic that's for sure.  No doubt there are athletes here, that's why it's so competitive within each sport, boys & girls.  Sure hope they find someone soon.

Two reasons GCM beat BH last year (my opinion) ;D 1. GCM had a young team, new program, no Seniors. 2. BH underestimated GCM and went into that first game thinking it was in the bag due to #1.  BH needs to quit thinking like that and I have no doubt GCM will be and improved team this year.  As with BH, I am sure most of them have been playing Select Ball and have improved. We will see in a few weeks.

Hillguy, sorry to hear that. Glad the are ok. Had a scary guy approach us in Food Town parking lit I e night, pretty scary. I try bot to go to Baytown after dark anymore.

[/quote] No they are not.  I don't know if any of the parents would be willing to step up and coach it and my husband is working that weekend so he is out of the question.

I think they are done also. Just has not made it official. We are waiting patiently for high school to start also. 

Don't know how anyone has been able to play with all the rain.  Those of you who have are lucky, DD team has not practiced in 3 weeks because fields are too wet.
