1. Coach Knight is 5-0 after his "rant" and will play in the Southland Conference Championship game Saturday.  Nay-sayers of Coach Knight's ways are eating crow right about now.

He was brought in to clean up the mess, and boy has he ever.  Unfortunately for us LU backers, he may not be around much longer.  I, for one, hopes he stays for many years to come.  Young men who are committed to taking the high road and doing the right thing gravitate to coaches like Pat Knight, and in the end, they benefit way beyond graduation.

Let's kick some mcneese butt Saturday, so we can go "dance".
  2. IMO:

players vs players...slight edge to HJ

coach vs coach...hands down goes to The Honorable Todd Sutherland & staff

Silsbee better hope the game isn't close and doesn't come down to coaching.  If so, Sutherland & staff will display their mad skills and win.  For Silsbee to win, they need to hit early and often and not allow HJ the opportunity to think they have a chance.  Either way, it'll be a great display of athletes going head to head.  Add the emotions of a big time game, and I think there will be a lot of fouls and turnovers early.

Wide open for four teams  ;D
1. LCM, 2, Central, 3. Livingston, 4. Ozen/ Nederland
Somebody is trying to stir up some trouble ;)
I know, right?  I'll take the bait.  ;D

My prediction for top 4 thus far.

    1) Nederland/Central
    2) Nederland/Central
    3)Ozen
    4)LC-M
Wrong again  :o :o :o :o
Catman's opinion will be flawed.  When you're a Big Sandy/North Shore bandwagon jumper, you can never take his opinion seriously.

Hey everybody, only soulja's opinion can be taken seriously.
  4. LaMarque has too long a history of this sort of behaviour after losing football games.  The best thing to do in my opinion is to tell your team to go DIRECTLY to the dressing rooms after the games.  And, of course, tell the LaMarque Coach in pregame warm ups that this is what you have instructed your team to do.  Again, LaMarque has too much involvement in this sort of behavior - so, "Defuse" the situation as much as you can.

    I agree

You can't argue with a police report. My question is if the BISD officer that was mentioned in the report is still employed with BISD.
Disputing police reports is a whole other thread, VP; however, if what the Baytown police officer submitted in his report is true, then the bisd officer should be dealt with by TCLEOSE.  It's a given that bisd won't do a thing about it.  The two departments are on opposite ends of the professional spectrum.

RockinA, why don't you mind your own business. You are just a Thomas hater. This post is about Stump leaving not Sup Thomas.
Another blind loyalist, I see.  The truth is painful at first, fuseball, but follow the light and eventually you'll get used to it.

Coach Stump wasn't take care of, and as a result, BISD lost a good and dedicated coach.  I hate that, but I know he's going to a much better place.  You're right, this is about Coach Stump leaving.  I digressed, but I'm back on track now.  I apologize, but I saw the truth being ignored, and I had to bring it into the discussion.
  7. When you're #1 in the state, you are held to a much higher standard, right?  Who's the highest paid superintendent in the state?  Enough said as to why thomas gets the blame with anything that goes wrong within BISD.  Lower his salary to the appropriate level, and the intense attacks (which only seem to empower him) will decrease.  If taxpayers are paying for the most expensive superintendent in the state, then they want the best superintendent in the state.  That is clearly NOT happening in BISD.  IMO, all of the negative BISD press only reminds taxpayers that they're getting the raw end of the deal, and thus, they use, for example, the WB fieldhouse to vent.  Rid the district of the most costly budget item (thomas), and I believe you'll see folks begin to put things in perspective.
  8. I'm sure the Honorable Todd Sutherland will do everything possible to ensure his team does not let their #1 ranking go to their head.  As stated, this ranking means nothing.  His team has a lot of potential to go far in this year's playoffs, and he is THE coach to guide them to Austin.  Knowing the Honorable Todd Sutherland, he'll probably make them condition even more.  Good luck HJ!!

The Jekyl and Hyde Central Jaguars take this one.

    Central      56
    Ozen          52
Perfect name to describe this team.
How would you describe WB's season so far? They are a good 4-8 team!
WB fans deserve better.

  10. I think it is different for a college program because punishments in years following can hurt recruitment efforts, and players can move to another school if Im not mistaken.

As for Ozen and any punishment involved I would like to recommend one of two.

1 Next season when playing Vidor, Jacobi Jones should be required to play the entire game with his shoelaces tied together, and Trey Green also if he is returning.

2 Next season, again only in the Vidor game, the Ozen end zone should be shrunk to a 1 square foot patch of field, placed on a skate board, with a string attached to it, ran to Coach Mathews hand!

Now that there is funny stuff.
