The article suggested the possibility of changing sites for the UIL basketball championships after the 2013 season. I sure hope that doesn't happen. Going to Austin the few times that I have gone was always a treat. I guess money talks, so if they change sites, then they will go where they can get the most money. Alamo Dome perhaps?

Question #1: If a FORMER assistant knows everything there is to know about basketball, then would one infer that CURRENT assistants know more or less about basketball?
Question #2: Since Jerry West is the NBA logo, yet other players actually deserved to be the logo more than West, how many conspiracy theories does that make in someone's world? -
I agree. The anticipation is already intensifying. Go Big Red !!

To the former assistant coach: As stated earlier, I'd take Bird over Magic because he was a quiet, consistent leader. I prefer a quiet, business-as-usual leader, not the flashy type that Magic was. Magic's made-up name indicates what he thought of himself. I appreciated what Magic brought to the court, but I preferred Bird's offerings more. That's my opinion. Why you discount so many opinions on here is beyond me. I don't remember anybody doing that to you. Suggesting race has anything to do with this discussion is simply silly, yet clearly representative of your motives.
Sheesh -
DV, I must apologize. I thought there was nobody more hard-headed than you.

somebody, please make this poster stop

some things just aren't right, and I'm not referring to TABC All-State team.

Bird, all day long !!

Majic or Magic?
Magic & Bird are about as equal as two stars can be. I'll admit I'm biased, and as such, Bird would be the focus of my team. I'd take a quiet leader over a flashy one any day.
P.S. Who is this "Majic" the former assistant coach keeps referring to? -
Since the former assistant coach said it, Nash, I guess it must be true.

I'm over it now. I'm thrilled that LU basketball is back on the right track!

No doubt, Vermont played a better game. Well-disciplined and solid team play, like the Princeton teams of old. UNC will have their hands full. Anybody can be beat on any given night.
-
I hope planning a reunion w/Roc was worth it. I'm still mad about all of the self-induced distractions.
-
"Another fact: LU players interviewed on Sunday said they're confident about beating Vermont and are 'ready to face North Carolina'. I know these are unchartered waters for LU's players, but I hope they're not overly confident to the point of not even showing up Wednesday night."
I'm not happy, but it was pretty obvious everybody overlooked lil bitty Vermont. -
Crusty 'ol man does have feelings after all. You don't have to agree with his ways, but he's definitely passionate about basketball. Nice moment.
Way to go, Coaches Bobby & Pat Knight! -

3 weeks ago, we were all up in arms after getting beat by SFA and Nicholls State. Now we're whining about a play-in game? Really? I'm thrilled just to have Big Red still playing. Let's go Big Red!!
Geesh -
Thanks for the updates, AAW.

Now dat der yates score is funny, all because "you know who" wants everybody to think they are untouchable. When they get beat next year in 3A, the same person will have yet more excuses. Let it go down as a great game without offering your unwanted and slanted "analysis".
