I know that people will say that athletes make the choice to play sports so they have to deal with what academics throws at them too BUT certainly kids can't be expected to do homework and study for test on nights they will be out so late!!!! Anyone have any idea how this will be handled?

I agree totally, in this time of budget cuts the District travel for Deweyville was already terrible now with the additional of Anderson-Shiro its down right obscene.

Just looked at their school website and they have football.

I guess they will cut even more teachers or coaches to be able to afford to travel to these ridiculous places!!!!

I posted this to another topic on this board today: Travel in this District is brutal, for Dewyville to play at  New Waverly = 135 miles, Corrigan Camden = 125 miles, Hemphill = 110 miles and Groveton = 140 miles, all one way numbers.  Anderson-Shiro is between Brenham and Huntsville on FM-149 approx 175 mile trip.

someone out there please tell me that they are going to atleast try to appeal this!

WOW is an understatement here. What is the point of running up a score like that on a team regardless of who it is? I think that coaches have lost sight of sportsmanship in my opinion. I know there are plenty out there that will disagree with me but that is why we are all allowed our own opinion. It is hard to tell a group of athletes to keep their heads up when they are beat down like this. JMO

Isn't she the ONLY senior still playing now? I heard that a bunch of them quit. It is a shame that there isn't more dedication to support the program. Glad #12 is hanging in there.

Well, I do hope that the coaching situation is fixed somehow before next school year. There are just not enough coaches there to spread out the work and I know they get tired and need help as well.
