Should be a fantastic game and atmosphere i know everyone around there is excited about the stadium and even more about this years team

I'm goin to take deweyville in this one 35-14. They are goin to be amp'd to be on the new field with a BIG crowd to play in front of. And theres goin to be a little bit more of a motivator with them LA boys comin in. TX and LA have never and will never see eye to eye. I'm take the boys from TX

I'm pickin warren as well doubt it will be close. The Red Devils usually have a less than stellar team.

They lost alot mainly in the pitching area. Top 2 starters graduated. But they still have talent some decent youngsters with a couple studs thrown in there. So it should be an interesting year. Maybe the new coach can help this team out and get them goin in the right direction

He may not have tested positive but he has admited to using the "clear" he said he thought that it was flax seed oil. So how long was he "confused". When he breaks the record there will be ALOT of mixed feelings. but i think he will only have it for 7-8 years and then A-Rod will break it. Either way its a tremendous achievement. Cheater or not he hit alot of home runs. I just wish it was someone else instead of him

The Astros welcome wigginton and designate Ensberg. Ensberg will either be traded or released Papura said sending him the to minors is not an option. So Ensberg is done as an Astro

KGJ is def. my favorite player off all time. Plays the game the right way. Before he got hurt anything in the air to center he was catching the only reason i started playing outfield. IMO the sweetest swing in baseball. take away the years he missed cause of injury and he would be KGJ breakin Hammerin Hanks record. Or atleast breakin Bonds record. He is all natural too. Nothin better than watchin healthy Griffey play the game

Wow was Woody a waste of money or what. He is 4-11 would could have spent that money somewhere else. Drayton needs to realize he cant just sign one big name to help a team with more than one weakness. Can we please do something about the pitching?? Also we def. need to get rid on Ensberg he had one good season signed his big contract and has hit .230 over the last  season and a half. Lorreta at 3rd. maybe we can get some bullpen help or a young prospect from a contender who needs a good pinch hitter a 3rd baseman to give their starter a rest sometimes. Its time to give up on this year no magic this time i'm afraid. I wish they could turn it around just dont see how with out new players

I wish teams in the MLB would just let him go away. I mean yea he is in GREAT shape for his age for any age but really its almost like a side show. He has barely averaged 100 hits a season in is WAY too long career. Early on he was good but those years are long gone. He hasnt had a 100 hit season since 97 (116). was out of the bigs from 98-00 (except for 1 ab with the devil rays in 99) and then the braves had to bring him back. Just let him go.......

Everybody around here would love to see Buch come back and pitch for the Astros. But there's NO WAY they give him up for lidge or anybody for that matter. He is the number one prospect in their farm system. he will be in their starting rotation probably next year. And they dont need lidge he cant start for them and they already have papelbon and okajima in case something happens to him what would they do with lidge?? Sure they wouldnt be opposed to adding a power arm but that price is way to steep for a pitcher as shown weakness is pressure moments and they will be deep in the playoffs and dont want a mid relief guy blowin it before u get to okajima and then papelbon Buch is stayin put in Bos for a long time to come hopefully all the way to cooperstown

Also I went to the JUCO site and did see they now had their FIRST all star game.  

That was the first year for that all star game. There is a Tex/NM all star game that is played at baylor. I played in the game in the fall of 06 and know for a fact that it was played before that. Like i said they just added an all star game. That was the FIRST one

What All-star game are you refering to?? No such thing in JUCO ball.

Actually there is an all-star game for JUCO. They just added a new one this year so now there's two different JUCO all star games.

Yea his change is very dirty. And its not even his best out pitch. He has all the tools and will be in the show by no later than 08-09 season. i wouldnt be surprised to see him as a september call up this year just to get a look at him. Kinda like the tigers did with Miller last year.

Yes in baseball you can recieve both athletic and academic.

From what I saw of Jackson last season, his best asset was his passing ability.  He and Bland should compliment each other.

Are you sure you are thinking about Caleb and not Jacob?? Jacob is the better passer and Caleb is def the better shooter. Caleb can shoot the rock with the best of them. Should be alot of dump it in kick it out for the pirates this year.

AC is a very good program. Great place for these guys to play. They will have a strong team next year. Real good players coming back from a Conference champion and Regional tournament qualifying team. Both coaches are outstanding. If they listen to Coach Martinez they both will become better hitters than what they are. I wish them both the best of luck as well as the Roadrunner program

They changed this rule this year in college i dont know if its the same for highschool. The runner can slide straight into the base and even pop up as long as they dont go at the fielder away from the base. Like i said i dont know if its the same for high school but if it is the call was wrong but if its not then the right call was made. Just my 2 cents

One reason that metal bats are more expensive than wood bats is because of how long they last. They tend to have a lot longer "life span" than wood bats. Composite bats are more expensive than wood bats as well because they last longer as well. A metal bat for the most part has a 1-2 yr warranty. Wood bats usually dont last 2 months. Not dismissing the fact that balls quiet possibly could come off the bat harder and go further but just a reason the bats are so pricey

Couldnt happen to a more deserving guy. I played for Coach Thib and he is one of the best coaches i ever played for. he really cared about the team as well as each individual player. He helped our school with team spirit and was an excellent role model. He was a  great coach and even better person. So i can say on the behalf of your old D'ville players coach congrats and we wish the best for you and ur family in the upcoming years
