  1. What I was pointing out was that you (as do most in PA) always want to point the finger at MC when something is said negative about PAM. Well this time it is your own PA folks throwin rocks at PAM and you, for some reason, point the finger at MC?? Why is that?

I think Kenny will do fine at PAM, but he can't be buddies with the athletes and discipline them as well.

I do agree with Lance's points about Kenny's resume. Not impressive enough to get another job in the state of Texas (1A-5A), but he got the PAM job! If you live in PA you do have to ask why that is? And PAM has become a Basketball school with Boutte as AD. No two ways about it!

Ok ndn i understand what your saying those loud mouths don't speak for everyone though. I must admit he (Harrison) wasn't my first choice I liked the D/C from Evangelin Christian. MHS will always be my school no matter what other PA fans say. Always bleeding RED The GOAT. :)
  2. Man hurt, coop your talking about stats on paper, short your talking about Travis played them close because it was a rivalry, come on guys MHS is on a mission, we don't care about paper or a rivalry, this is the 3rd rd of the playoffs that's bigger than any rivalry or stats. One player won't make a difference either way. MHS is walking on the court wed.@ 8 with a whole bunch of SWAG!!!!!! I'll take that over stats or rivalry's any day. Our defense has dominated the first two rounds. Hightower and Green better bring it cause MHS is on the way to the city! ;)

Simply put, I'll take Hightower. Care to wager?

J/V teams are not allowed in on this conversation. :D

If your scared, say your scared. ;)

LOL You should be scared coach Williams wants some of this AAAAA ball. Anyway enough of that MHS all the way!!!

So I take that as a no on the wager. You proved my point. I guess you couldn't afford it.[/quote Why do you think that cause cheer and root for MHS. Your funny. O, and what was your point? MHS all the WAY!!!!!!!!!! 8)

  3. Rilvaries mean a bunch... Kids come to play cross town teams harder.  They play each other every year, at least twice a year so coaches have extra added knowledge on how to play them.  For example.  Central played Ozen close last year in a game but they were no where near better than Ozen or even close.  At half time of the football game this past year WB was only up by 7 pts over Central... But Central was not on WB level.  I have seen PNG upset Ned or NED upset PNG when the other team has been more dominant.  The playoffs are real but cross town rivalries are just as potent.

I wish the best for PA but my belief is that Hightower wins!

No second chances in the playoffs. A playoff game could be your last game of the  season, what more motivation do you need. If your saying hightower won't come to play I'll take that all the way to AUSTIN! ;D Thanks for the luck.

  6. Another example of the lost pride in this school district.  Kenny will NOT succeed at bringing this program to prominence.  It seems the entire city doesn't give a dang about the athletic programs.   Attendance is pathetic, spirit is non-existent.  And rather than going outside the district and looking to shake things up, they just do the easy predictable thing.  There is no hope. >:(

No hope, what r u talking about? Because we didn't hire someone from O/P or WO-S. No matter where the coach comes from u still have to have players with potential or athletic ability, for your program to succeed. We(MHS) have all those things including HOPE. Let Port Arthur worry about Port Arthur, and since we have no hope tell your coach set a game or scrimmage with MHS, a we'll see if your city, school and students have any hope. >:(

Goat, you do realize that the only people complaining about Kenny are from PA!!!!!

We'll see how long the ndns give their new coach, and don't forget to ask the new chief about that. game! ;) And badndn you know people complain for know reason. Go MHS beat png! ;D

  9. I guess as far as Green goes.  Yes he won @Central--well he got out of the region once but that didn't transfer to PAM.  I think the perfect storm was brewing when Kingwood was just the school of Region 3 in the early part of this decade.  Couldn't get passed them.  The one time PAM won the district, they couldn't win the next game after the bye.  All I know is Henderson better get them at least to the 3rd round or he will be seeking work else where...

Yeah your right too, I think Boutte wants to taste AAAAA!!!!!!! :o
  10. Trust me when I say it is not ALL Henderson that has turned arround PA.  It is the breed of kid that he has playing for him now.  He could not do much with some highly talented teams at Lincoln in 4A on his first SETX tour.  But now the kids have Memorial pride, not just Lincoln or TJ pride.  It is much less bickering between the kids because the only identity they have is Memorial.  Also, the district is not that powerhouse district that they have been in in the past.

Westbrook is not strong, NS is good but have been very beatable, and from there who is tough?  Timing means alot, and look at the area rankings by coaches... Only Strake (#1) is in the top ten, with Hightower (GREEN), FB Bush (same district as GREEN), and Kingwood in the top 15... So they can make some noise in the first two rounds before seeing any of these teams....  And the character kids that Memorial has there now helps alot...  These kids just want to play ball!

This is a great post, short. You have nailed it. David Green was just as good a coach back then as he is now. The PA kids just didn't take to his style of coaching. There's no question that it is a winning style.

You mention that the kids are more team oriented now. I beleive that to be true, all the prima-donnas are gone. ;)

Short u da man, The GOAT could not have said it better myself the have PRIDE,even if on one else does, and the just wanna play ball. Forget the 1 and 2 round were for Hightower now.
  11. Strake Jesuit would beat PAM by a BUNCH...They could NEVER beat Kingwood either...Not to mention FB Bush, or even Hightower (coached by former PAM coach David Green)...They have done well in a weak district, but state is not in the cards for them this year... ;)

This is very true. PAM will lose to Hightower in the third round. Thanks for making this post Dicky. I was about to do it.

If anyone knows David Green it's us. Slow it down get it to the big man in the post, we get up and down the floor for that. Other teams can't keep up, we're running everyone out the gym. Just when you think your close you look @ the clock and your down by 15.
