  1. The goat is an idiot.  We play good football in Dayton...year in...year out.

No name calling please, this is only for fun. I don't care if YOU say ya'll play good football i gotta see it for myself. Good football is what Katy plays Northshore, Smithson Vally, Southlake Carrol, Odessa The Woodlands, Austin Westlake this is good football year in and year out, and not cause their 5a. They're just in my peer group (5a). Heck i just heard of dayton football 3-4 years ago. Now, if you wanna debate lets do it name call will not be tolerated. O yeah remember the L-TRAIN! ;D ;) BMF (Big Mouth Fool)
  2. I don't think MHS would want to find out what it is like to tangle with the Broncos.

Just ask the Bulldogs how a fancy scoreboard helped them out the last time they played Dayton.

Ha Ha Ha, this is a whole different level we're talking about, we'll play anybody anywhere anytime.Like I said tell your coach you wanna take a ride down 69 past nederland and port neches to MHS for so head to head competition.
  3. And the kids love to see themselves, and of coarse as a fan you know you always wanna see that special play again.

That would be one reason not to have one, they have no business looking at replays. Besides UIL rules state that you can only replay a play once during the game. It is not worth the money for what you get. Its just bells and whistles, no real value.

Like i said, y'all can do what you want. Bells and whistles would be defined as "atmosphere" to me, and it makes the game that much better. Yours truly, The GOAT ;)

Bells and Whistles DON'T win you football games.

Rather spend the $$$ on EDUCATING the kids than on a scoreboard.

    Besides....

I would rather have the atmosphere of the football game created by the home team scoring touchdown after touchdown.

Life has been good in Bronco stadium as of lately, and no fancy scoreboard was needed.

You are such a kill joy. I said add to the atmosphere, plus money does not and will not educate kids, education starts at home. If you had a million dollars to educate a child it still would not be enough, because if little peter won't sit down and shut his mouth in class he still won't learn. Anyway that another conversation for another day. Y'all go ahead and put some cardboard up there and keep the score with a sharpie. Have a good day. It's time for me to find someone else to debate with.

  5. Dayton has a Booster Club and I am fairly certain there are some more worthwhile things they are working on! 100K should be nice enough!

    100K WOULD BE JUST GREAT!!!!!!!

That's fine with me, just trying lend  a helping hand. The invite is still open though. ;) I wanna see if the broncos are worth the hype. ;D

    [/quotebee]

wish that would happen... we're worth every bit!

Bronco, you sure you want that, this isn't pn-g or nederland. Don't make us light up our SCORBOARD on y'all!!!!!!!!!

I'm sure .... are you? THIS ain't Sterling or Channelview. ;D

Harrison sure has brought a lot of confidence to PAM..... is that you coach?? ;)

Nope, just a loyal fan that's ready for some football. Hey bandkid believe me well be ready in August.

  8. The GOAT thinks everyone should have a replay board it only adds to the wow factor of the Friday night lights. And the kids love to see themselves, and of coarse as a fan you know you always wanna see that special play again.

The GOAT hasn't figured out how much it costs to install one of those boards, plus furnish the cabling and cameras to complete the package.

This is an unessential waste of taxpayer money to put a replay board in a high school stadium, UNLESS it is purchased and maintained through outside sponsors.

Ask Nederland how good it felt to watch the nine touchdowns scored by the Broncos play over on their highlight score board.

Although nice to have such things, it is not essential.

As previously stated, the most important part of the scoreboard is to have the Bronco side with many points and the opponent as close to zero as possible.

The GOAT doesn't need to figure it out. The GOAT is all knowing. $450,000 is what ours cost, that's scoreboard, videoscreen, three cameras, two computers for graphics, that also includes a sound /pa system that sounds out of this world. Come on lets live a little. Open your mind and your wallet. IF YOUR GONNA DO IT, DO IT BIG. It's not always about dollars and cents. If you say your school is the best, then you should want the best. You should want it for your school. Don't y'all have that kind of money laying in dayton, or you could even start up a booster club to fund the scoreboard project. In this situation more is better. Plus u never show the visitors highlights that's a no no! That was nederlands fault, that's part of homefield advantage, matter of fact I'm sending the bronco a formal invite to PA for 2010-2011.
  9. First The GOAT would like to thank 35 for his insight on the MHS. He is correct in what he says. I stop to practice everyday after work, and i love what I see. Coaches with intensity, that are teaching as well as demanding for their players on and off the field. I think the d-line will be the most improved they are being taught differant techniques this season. It'll be the same wide open attack just more balance out of differant sets with to backs. The Qb's look great and are doing more reading. Three receivers are back from last season, so we're set their. I just can't till Friday I'll be the one sitting high in the sky. ;) See you there!!!!!!

  10. Was it just me or did i see a large group of Titans in the "D" section??? saw alot of other color shirts there also, alot of intrest ;) 8)

DeRon made it all just look too easy, this was so much fun and the weather was great

Your eyes did not deceive you,yes we(M.H.S.) were there. We wanted to see what the hype was about!!!!! ;) ;D 8)

I can't tell from spring ball, and i didn't see the ndns play last year. Our spring game is friday.I'll do some comparing to see where everyone is right now, as we move closer august.

So what did ya think Goat?

  11. HJ vs SFA in 92.  all tied up with 2 min to go in the 4th. we were tied in penatrations and were killing them in yards. they squib kick, our SO drops the ball goes to pick it up and another SO runs into him. they recover on the 22 yard line. they get to the 19 and we sack them. LOSE by a 1 yard penatration and our playoff dreams smashed.

Who  was on that that HJ team hitman, because i remembered that game differently.

Who do you want??? QB- Esprit, RB -Sostan, Clark WB-Mckeller, Granger WR - Vaglica, Parrish, OL - Alvey, Barry, Petag.......Got the game tape in my truck!!! 19-19 tie!!! Sostan runs into Grogan on the kick off which SFA had to score to tie it up..if fact missed extra point by SFA that tied it.....then after they got the 1 yard penatration and after the sack, a blocked field goal by HJ. HJ recovers on the 26. Next play Esprit threw a interception (which was his 3rd on the night). Johnson takes one snap and fumbles but recovers then the Knee down to run the clock out>>>>Does that jog you guys memory any?????

hitman you sound kind of cocky in a loss, but anyway since you have the tape in your truck, you saw the ref bail ya'll out on the opening kickoff  in which i ran it back for a TD. H.J. really had no chance. You can thank the that ref for the game being so close. ;D ;) ;)

the block below the waist you are reffering to did happen, tell #7 you can't block below the waist on a kickoff. I was the one that it happened to on our side lines.  As for never having a chance........thats why SFA had to come back to TIE!!!!!! As for the refs, you are right the were bad but it was on both sides.  I do remember the clock that keeped running on a out of bounds run that it should of stoped while we were in the red zone just before half.....and ya'll ran off the field while the refs were talking!!!  Talk about some home cooking!!!!

I remember that game so vividly that I remember you (#23) high steping on the kick off TD that was called back, and stumbling when you kicked the ground in the End Zone. almost fell on your a$$ that would have been funny:D :D

as for the cockyness.....just stating the facts in my MOST PAINFUL LOSS :'( :'(

That was #33, The block was behind the play, and yes i did almost fall, that was the last time i did that. yes i feel your pain. :'( :'( :'(

  13. OK, I watched Charles and Michaels throughout High school...  I am a Jag been when you have a rare talent in the area you must attend their games....  To start these two guys are the cream of the crop.  I really like Michaels, and he is a physical specimen.... BUT... to watch Jamal run was a thing of beauty.  What is funny is that most forget how hard he ran in high school because of his finesse style in college.  Jamal would run over high school kids.  His junior year he averaged above 250 per game in the playoffs.

Here are a few high school clips of Jamal in case you all forgot!

This is the hidden content, please

James Johnson was mentioned earlier... Pure beast!  If he wasn't in that first MHS class he would have been even better... His junior year at TJ was amazing, but if Shanderrick Charles came out in 2000 like I think he did he was even better!!!!  Now that was Barry Sanders... He had his career end early at SMU because of a stress fracture in his back after averaging 225 in the first three games of the season.  Then I would have to give AJ Dugat the go, but he wasn't a fulltime tailback!  Mosely was the man and Hussey is really good.  Williams form brook was a good change of speed back....

    Jamal Charles - MHS

    C Michaels - WB

    Shanderrick Charles - LHS

    Mosley - NHS

Dugat (Not a full time TB) - DHS

    J Johnson - TJHS/MHS

    Hussey - LumHS

    Feacher - CHS

Franks (not full time HB) - WOS

    Grogan - NHS

WOW! thanks for the memories shorttexas that kid was poetry in motion non like him.  Hey westend c mike dosen't have footage like that. MHS baby!
