  1. Well....................your right about that.
  2. One point not being mentioned is that the higher end scopes like Swarvorski and Zeiss are able to gather more light and allow you to see more clearly at dawn and dusk. A Swarvorski spotting scope will allow you to see a deer 5 to 10 minutes earlier than you can with a decent set of binocs. Is it worth it, I guess so if you can afford it. I personally like Leupold - (good bang for the buck) - .
  3. Never heard of such a thing. I checked TPWD web page and didn't see anything about it mentioned. Maybe somebody just wants to hunt your spot that week .
  4. Well, I would ETBU but I'm about to make a 5 hour drive south to Eagle Pass to spend some quality family time on my deer lease. Good luck to WOS!
  5. Just sitting in my office eating some cheese and listening to some Mozart. What about that nap?
  6. Congrats to 22-4A . Keep rolling!
  7. And the team that does not win will be considered weak by most posters on this board.
  8. Good luck to BH. Go Eagles!
  9. No it wont, Lumberton will be talking about next year .
  10. What I find strange is how in a ISD as small as GP(area) can you have 1 schoo with 1800 kids and the other with dang near 3600. Me too - very strange :? .
  11. It is the opposite of what is normally called bulletin board material. good one tvc - I like that !
  12. I have hunted all over south Texas for many years (Webb, Duvall, Zapata, Frio, and Maverick counties) and the three most common calibers down there are .270 win, 7 mm mag, and 300 win mag. They all work great on big deer in open country. This is not on any official list, just my observation over the past 15 years.
  13. Excellent choice for a youth gun. Has a little more kick than a 243 but leaves a much bigger hole. Kids (and adults) get excited and and perfect shot placement doesn't always happen. I started my son with a 243 then went to the 7mm08 with much better results.
  14. Man what a great 1st post.
  15. Yeah, right.......each team gets a 1000 bonus yards against Smiley.
  16. Sure looks like alot of players from that "weak" 21 4A district.
