Just got some bad news for one of our players, could be out up to 6 weeks with 3 cracked ribs. I don't want to say the young mans name, but I hope for a speedy recovery. He will be missed on the team.

Howdy folks, just back to La Porte from Bridge City, so here we go: First off I'd like to say congrats to the Oilers for the win! ;D ;D ;D Lot's of negative things have been said about West Hardin scheduling a JV team, but let me tell you something, it was a 3A JV team and they had lots of talent. I don't know his name, but their QB #25 has got a cannon for an arm & he's fast. I can definitely see him being a starter on varsity next year. Their CB's have good vision and break well to the ball. Back to the Oilers now! I think we looked pretty good on defense, two of BC's TD's were from tipped passes and then catches in the end zone. The first one, our corner back jumped up and barely got his fingers on it, maybe one more step before the jump and it would have been knocked down. The second one hit our DB in both hands and then went right to their receiver. Offense is starting to click a little better, moving the ball better & spreading it around. QB #7 Miller did a fantastic job of running the ball along with RB #22 Ancisco & #30 Letsinger. We still need a little more time to get our rhythm down on passing plays. The offensive line held up good, I believe their was only two major breakdowns in blocking. Unlike last week, our health was pretty good. We only had one player with a leg cramp, but we do have a player that could have cracked ribs & he's a two way full time player. I'll check on his status tomorrow. Dang the luck, but during warmups #8 stepped in a hole and twisted his ankle. Couldn't even play a single snap, now that stinks. We got new Home jerseys this year, next week I'll put a pic up of those. I haven't seen them yet, but I heard they are nice.

For the record I am matt lowe's mom he was one of the ones cramping up...all the kid ever drinks is water! He has not drank a soda in about 2 years. Reece and the rest of the line did a great job blocking for the QB to make that 95 yard touch down. If it was not for the line Sam Or Matt could not move the ball. GO WARRIORS!!!!!! Same for my boys! That's why I tell me boys to drink a sports drink in there sometimes too, gotta replace those salts & electrolytes. Your boy looked real good last night! He's fine. I think that cramps in the legs was our biggest problem last night, I saw a few of your players too with legs cramps. Water is great and all, but these players really need to throw in some gatorade or powerade and cut out the sodas. Good luck Warriors!

First off congrats to the Warriors for the win. I think that both schools defense looked real good, here are the scores by the quarter: 1st West Hardin - 7 ---- Ben Miller run TD 8 or 9 yd Warren - 0 2nd West Hardin - 14 --- Ancisco TD run 6 yd Warren - 6 -------15 yd run 3rd West Hardin - 14 Warren - 12 ------This was a 95 yd TD run! :'( :-[ :'( 4th West Hardin - 14 Warren - 18 ------Scored with 5:30 left If not for that 95 yd TD run by the Warriors, West Hardin would have won. We put all 11 guys in the box and the RB skipped out to the right side and no one could catch him. Well, except for their #25, dang that kid is fast. He passed up our 2 defenders just to turn around and make a block. Then with :56 left, we were driving down and threw up an interception. Warriors kneeled it out for the win. Couple of shout outs for West Hardin! #50 Werner had an awesome block to let Ancisco score in the 2nd. #17 Harrington made a TD saving tackle on a kickoff and was swarming the field for other tackles. #7 Miller & #22 Ancisco ran the ball really well both scoring TD's #51 Harrington had a couple of sacks & a few tackles #78 Patterson made some great stops in the back field Whole Offensive line --- Great job overall, improved from last year for sure. There are more, but I don't have my notes with me.
