Look here now, read what I said completly before you decide to respond. I said our defender fell down not the receiver. Your absolutely right, it's a judgement call by you refs & a damn tough job too. The second call was were our guy had fallen down and the ball was 10 feet over the receivers head. I know you guys have a lot to look at real fast, but hopefully ya'll at least ask if it was catchable from another official. Also, I gave your crew a thumbs up for the majority of the game, in my opinion the Back Judge messed up on ONE of those calls. By the way, umbrellas are for the women folk, I had on my handy dandy poncho. Thank you very much!

I believe that Burkeville will get their first win of the season in a hard fought game between two teams that need a good win. I haven't seen Chester play yet, but I don't see Burkeville losing every game this year. The Mustangs have been in too many close battles not to win one. Good luck to both teams!!!

It was a very WET game, as all games probably were. It was a good defensive battle, both teams had several turn overs. The Oilers defense was all over the field tonight making key stops. #50 Werner for the Oilers had an outstanding game, he had at least 15 tackles with 3 or 4 of them being for a loss. I not doing my normal break down tonight, because there isn't much to say. #7 Miller had a great 50+ yard TD run & D Wade your right, #30 Letsinger had a 35yd run at a great time. Great job by the Oilers for pulling out the win over a talented Cardinal team. One negitive note before I go to bed; the drive that the Cardinals scored on was set up by some of the crappiest penalties I've ever seen. The Oilers got flagged for an defensive pass interferance that could have just as easlily been on the offense, then a few plays later got called for another one when the ball was uncatchable and the defender had fallen down before the ball got there. So that was 30 yds of crap. Up until that drive the refs were calling a pretty decent game, flags against both teams & some waved off after discussions.

West Hardin needs to come in with their game face on, our district has changed a lot since last year. It's up to the Oilers if they want it bad enough & I believe they'll come out swinging. Good luck Oilers!

Tonight was West Hardin's Homecoming and Colmesneil came in & took away the win. Here's the run down: 1st quarter West Hardin - 0 --- Lot's of back & forth between the teams Colmesneil - 0 2nd quarter West Hardin - 0 Colmesneil - 12 --- #8 Eaves had a 15yd TD run (9:42) & #5 Berry broke one for 80 yds (3:50), both extra points no good 3rd quarter West Hardin - 6 --- West Hardin came out, drove the field & #7 Miller had a 1yd TD run (4:16), extra point no good Colmesneil - 12 4th quarter West Hardin - 13 --- #8 Moss had a 25 yd TD run, extra point good (3:17) Colmesneil - 19 --- #12 Maddox dove in for a 1yd TD, extra point good (6:20) After West Hardin scored their last TD, Colmesneil ran back the kickoff to the West Hardin 25yd line. Luckly, #12 Dorian had a good angle and ran him out of bounds to save the TD. They chewed up about 2 minutes before having a botched field goal attempt, great coverage by West Hardin's defense. The Oilers drove down to the Bulldogs 40 yd line, then had a pass dropped in the end zone. Oilers had a false start penalty and made it 3rd & 15, #7 Miller was sacked to turn the ball over on downs. Colmesneil used victory formation to finish the game. The last 3 minutes of the game was a great thrill ride, I've never seen our fans cheering that loud to support our players. Some after game thoughts... The Oilers defense didn't look like the same unit that played Burkeville last week, they had lots of one arm tackles get broken this week in the 1st half. I saw the aggressive spark to start the 2nd half, I only wish they had it at the beginning. Overall, the Oiler defense looked descent, with the exception of the 80yd TD run in the 2nd, it was a pretty good battle. The offense also started clicking a little better in the 2nd half too, but the Bulldogs have some talented players that didn't miss near as many tackles as the Oilers did. The Oilers missed on a couple of opportunities through out the game, a couple of times there was a receiver wide open and we missed it. Tough loss for my Oilers, but just learn & build from it. Next week will be a different story if you want it to.

That stinks, it was a really good tool to have around! I follow West Hardin, so I was looking for their stuff and looking for the maps to see where some of the schools are located that could end up in our district next year. I made my own map though through Google Maps.

I'm looking for the topics that had all the old football records for the different schools & the one that showed the maps of all the districts. Anyone know where they are?
