The Vidor/LCM was not as close as the score indicated.  Vidor opened up so strong that the game got away from the Bears.  Good Luck to LCM tomorrow.  Go Pirates!  One more win!

Vidor won this morning 76-31.  I did not see this game.  I did see Vidor play Lumberton during a pre-season scrimmage tournament and I am surprised that it was this lopsided.  I though Lumberton looked good from what I saw a month ago.

So, we're the four bracket winners Vidor, LcM, Buna, and Evadale? For anyone that has been at the tourney, who outside the 4 bracket winners have the best chance to win this?  I really wanted to see more of this but I am still hoping to see some this afternoon and tomorrow.

Predictions are silly, but here is mine (and While I am sure that no coaches read this board, I sure hope I am right.) Vidor wins the toss and defers.  Vidor executes the onside kick to take over near midfield.  Vidor executes a 12 play drive converting twice on 4th down.  Quirante caps the drive with a 3 yard TD run behind Moore's excellent blocking.  This will be the first of his "Al Bundy" game.  Summer Creek will not touch the ball until much of the 1st quarter is done.  They will only get 3 possessions in the first half. In the end Summer Creek will break some huge plays, but they will also have 2 turnovers.  Vidor's ball control offense will be very frustrating and it will show up in play calling and penalties on SC. Vidor 31 - Summer Creek 21 The smaller, slower, less athletic team will come away with the win.  Both teams will earn the respect of each other.  And the Pirates will be a big underdog the following week as well.

Looks like Vidor vs Summer Creek.  Should be a great game!

[/quote] I hate to blame the officials, but I really have to put the blame on the men in stripes.  Once the refs lost control, both teams took some cheap shots.  And while the Livingston team appeared to be the worst offenders, it is easier to stay classy when you are winning.  And Collins did spend too much time jawing with the Vidor stands, but once he started his "horn" taunting, the Vidor fans really gave it back (me included)  and Collins is just a kid.  So you have to share the blame, but it was ugly. But I don't blame the Lions, I have to blame the refs.  The crew we had last week would have never let this happen. JMHO

[/quote] I do not think we will be 100% in terms of players available.  And while I believe in the next man up, the starters are starting for a reason.  And I think this game could be closer than many think as a direct result.  I still think Vidor has the Offensive Ground Game to get the win.  And our defense will still be very stout, but possibly vulnerable to the big plays. JMHO

You may be able to make the playoffs by just beating LCM, but both those 2 wins would make you a lock.  Vidor fans should all be rooting for the Jags from here on out.  We want the #1 seed in Div2.  But we have to beat Livingston to make that happen.  Good luck to the Jags!

I didn't think the refs were 1 sided, just not very good.  And even though they called 50 penalties, they lost control of the game. Mitchell, QB, for Central really impressed me.  He was amazing at almost all aspects of the game!  His WRs made some big plays,but they also had some bad drops.  The rest of the support on offense could use some help.  I think Cental remains a tough matchup every week.  Kudos to the Jags on a hard fought game. Congrats to the whole Pirate team.  It takes a whole team to win a game and lots of different kids made big plays tonight.  But I can't believe that ai just watched Quirante score 6 TDs, and it didn't even seem too surprising.  Amazing, he is, too watch! Go Pirates!

I can't believe he dropped it!  Next play was screen to Jacoby.  timeout LCM.  LCM coach spent the last 10 minutes on field complaining.  I wish they would flag him.  Pass incomplete.  7 seconds left.  Another Timeout by LCM. Worth my 6 bucks!

LCM interception at own 10 yd line with 4 minutes left. LCM 21 - Ozen 8.  I think it is over.

Terrible injury to LCM Olineman.  He has been down for 15 minutes.  Leg injury and it looked horrific.  I sure hope he is ok.  He will go away in Ambulance.  Announced as Tyler Hayes. LCM held Ozen on opening drive.  Big stop after decent drive.  Ozen looks sloppy.  Still 15-0
