Some credible source just told me that Stump turned it down. The only name I heard was Craig Stump.  Whether Franchione was ever interviewed or not, who cares.  If it's not Craig Stump, maybe it's Ray Woodard.....(like Cooper said)

Some Houston sportswriter was the guest on Bob West's show tonight and he alluded to Franchione - basically, Dennis wanted his son, Brad, to take over after 2-4 years.  This could be false, though.  But Bob mentioned something relevant- it's preposterous to build the program in two years .  Nevertheless, it sounds like the next coach is going to be Craig Stump. This is good news.  Franchione would've been a homerun, though, in my opinion.  Lamar will hire a new head football coach within two weeks.

If I had to put money on it, I would say Craig Stump.  The Fran rumor was put to rest a month ago.  How did it start up again?  Could this really be true?  It's great news, but hard to fathom.

Yes, you can.  I created one this morning while playing against my 5-year old nephew.  Designed my stadium and everything. (Walter Umphrey Stadium)
