  1. I know that this was expected by everyone in southeast Texas as Ozen will not tolerate a team that doesn't compete and they clearly did not compete this year.
  2. I will go with WOS in this one. It should be tight for 3 quarters with WOS pulling away in the 4th qtr. I saw last year's game between these two and predicted that we would see this match-up again. The Mustangs are a more well rounded team than last year. The only concern I have is the fact that the 'stangs can have bouts of getting a little sloppy at times ( of course that may have been purely out of boredom during the regular season! ) Good luck Mustangs from all your 21-AAA pals!!!
  3. Let's see......Bridge City and Hamshire-Fannet both spank Liberty and WOS spanks BC and H-F........ Mustangs in a donkey-stomp!
  4. Now that is an out and out exaggeration. Our skeeters never get larger than the average barn owl............
  5. I read this in the dressing room once, "The big dog is coming into our yard to hike his leg. Are you going to fight or take a shower?"
  6. I must admit that this has been a fun year. It has been good to see some schools that have been down make some noise! I am looking forward to following our area schools in the play-offs. It should continue to be interesting!
  7. I agree with what you say GoStangs, but you have to admit that the Bears actually are competing this year. We will see where the program goes now that people are having to prepare for them. Good luck to the Bears the next two weeks.
  8. With K'ville gaining that many yards combined with BC's 5 turnovers and the Wildcats only score 28????? Could have been a romp but the K'ville coaches kept us in it!
  9. 21-AAA should be embarrassed to lose any of these three matchups. 22AAA is a bit down this year.
  10. A week ago I would have taken Kirbyville in this game. But after watching the multitude of poor coaching decisions by the Wildcats last night, I lean to Silsbee. It will be a great game that will probably be decided by turnovers. Both teams will be good representatives from our district in the playoffs. One question......... does Coach Alvarez have any respect for field position???
  11. I'm just wondering where the "many" are that respect K'Balla. All of you that respect the 'Balla, please check in. We will assume that the rest of us see him for what he is. Heck, the Kirbyville folks are throwing him to the wolves.
  12. dang Smalley, now you are identified as a "defector"! Better keep your passport with you when you pass through BC!!! I will see you either Thursday or Friday night. Be nice to your home boys!!
  13. I agree. It will get ugly. Silsbee gives up too many gifts and the Mustangs thrive on any gift. Silsbee's size advantage will be neutralized as soon as they are 14 points behind, which will be early. This is a better WOS team than we saw last year. Not a good week for homecoming in Tiger country!!!
  14. Having seen both teams, WOS will prevail. WOS Defense will make the Tigers pay for every turnover and other mistake. This is no lack of respect to Silsbee. WOS's speed will eat the Tiger's up. Mustangs by 35.
  15. kvilleballa......You have made wild predictions all year about how K'Ville was going to whip everyone, including WOS. You also predicted that Jasper would beat BC by 23 on one post......by 14 on another..... and of course again by 21. You are not exactly the board's best prognosticator. You are consistent....consistently wrong! Kirbyville has a good team this year and may well beat BC and Silsbee but your mouthing makes the entire Kirbyville community look small and seem to have an inferiority complex. We in Bridge City are honored that you see our team as a measuring stick for your success.
  16. It might be "home field" advantage, but it is certainly a violation of UIL ethics rules. Kelly's announcer is the worst. Wait.......WOS's is the worst, and that is voted by the Mustang fans, no less!!
  17. Final score: 2 - 0 ..........who cares who wins this one! Playing for 5th and 6th place
  18. I just wanted this to be bumped for all to see....... ah, pride before the fall!
  19. This one will be decided in the last 2 minutes. A nail-biter for sure. Turnovers will tell the tale. Lumberton will attack by air, not ground and they can get on a roll. The Pirates will physically beat you down. I would love to be there for this one.
  20. This seems to be playing out as a below average year for Southeast Texas football. There are fewer strong teams but each district looks like a dogfight all the way to week 10. WOS, E-C, and Deweyville seem to be the class of the area so far. I am sure there will be a few surprises along the way. That is why we show up every Friday night!!!
  21. Wow! #8 4A knocks off #1!! Time to shuffle those rankings for 4A!!!
  22. Not that it matters now, but the "lateral" was a blown call by the officials. The video clearly shows the pass going forward from the 48 yd. line to the 49 yd. line. I think the officials were waiting on someone to blow a whistle and when they didn't, they allowed to play to continue. Overall, a pretty well called game..... but that one call hurt the Cardinals quite a bit.
  23. Maybe the polarity has reversed.......
