Mostly coming from the lobo fans to distract from almost getting beat by them. Of course I’m exaggerating a bit 😀

    lol.

We doubled them in yardage. Doubled them in time of possession.

The only reason that game was even remotely close was because of not finishing drives, and those hometown refs in Forney trying to get them in the game.

Forney is most definitely not a juggernaut by any stretch of the imagination...but they're definitely better than last season, and it's pretty crazy to think they're just the same team from then.

For what it's worth, I'm not high on Richland at all and fully expect the Eagles to get by the Royals...but if anything has been shown by BH this season, it's that y'all are not consistent at all from week to week. Y'all talked all year about injuries and such but then once you score your largest victory of the year...you go and lose to THAT Porter team lol.

I'm sure you'll say something about McNorth from last week, but in all reality, that was a 4th place team that got in because they faced off against Lancaster on the right week and didn't have to play against Lacy in the 4th quarter due to injury when he was dominating them.

PA should have about 21 right now if they'd stop shooting themselves in the foot.

And if the should've was a reality, Longview would have about 6 more state championships than we do.

Is what it is. PAM had their chance to jump out on the Lobos early, but Longview's defense forced some turnovers and took advantage of a massive drop.

I figured the first quarter would be all PAM's, but didn't except 23 in the 2nd quarter by us either. We'll see what happens in the second half.

football speed and track speed are completely different. well we got the dub fairly easy against them and they wasn't an issue for PAM...i see yall had a close one with them, but to be fair, to different lancaster teams. crosby fans are idiots. again track and football speed are totally different. we played in a monsoon so bad the field turf was literally lifting up and PAM just had the turf replaced this year. for 3 weeks they have played much better during heavy rain AND didn't just run the ball, but was efficient in passing it too.

i bring up the speed due to the last two teams the QB looked liked he had cement boots on.

At the end of the day, this isn't Longview's first rodeo against someone who is fast. We are more than fast ourselves.

We have 8 losses in 5 seasons, and 5 of them are to teams named Highland Park and Denton Ryan.

Like I said on Smoaky, I'm sure PA Memorial will bring different things to the game than we've seen this season. But I mean...I'm sorry, we're not looking into the mirror like you've said lol.

Common opponents don't mean much but I do think it gives us a little peak into the game. The fact that both Crosby and McKinney North games were one score games while ours were 34 and 42 point victories speaks a lot. PAM getting beat by Baytown Lee and giving up 41 to that McKinney North team (not to mention 34 to La Porte and that rushing attack).....I just. We'll see. Especially in a downpour.

I know it's falling on deaf ears, but is what it is. Excited for Friday to get here.

Have anyone noticed that these last two teams from up north have been fundamentally sound, but slow?? maybe LV is use to those teams that don't have any speed and thinking PAM are like those teams lol

Y'all have played Lancaster before, you think they're slow?

Didn't Crosby fans brag about beating us in track? How'd that turn out on the field?? We've played many a teams that are fast. Guess what, Longview is quick too.

On the rain....Longview played in a monsoon just two weeks ago. Our power game is the run game, while y'all will need to keep the pressure off your line. Y'all really think a steady rain the entire game is going to favor y'all?

Lots of wishful thinking in this thread.

PAM will not be more athletic than Longview

PAM will not have time in the pocket to throw it versus Longview.

PAM will not stop Longview running the ball.

For the first time this year the other side of the field will have more talent on it than PAMs and they found ways to lose games in the regular season to inferior talent.

Not only will it be the end of the road it won’t even be close. 21+ point victory, PAM will get out coached, out played, out executed and out talented.

tough pill to swallow but this is going to be a butt whooping.

Longview is the most talented team I’ve personally seen play since Aledo in the state title game two years ago.

I don't know how Friday will turn out. I know PAM will provide some challenges that we haven't seen yet, as any district champion this late into the season will do.

But I do feel free confident on two things, Longview's line will be the best the Titans have seen all year and Longview's rushing attack will absolutely not be stopped.

Tatum and AJ will get their yards, it's just going to happen. It's much more about limiting that, and forcing turnovers, more so than anything.

I'm pretty confident PAM's QB will make some plays, especially against the rush. But we're not Wakeland or McKinney North, that's for sure.

I think your assumption is that Crosby is your typical bi-district opponent? We may well be but it’s going to be interesting to see how well we can match up now that we’re relatively healthy. The only position group I would give Crosby the nod at over LV is QB, if Beaumont Westbrook doesn’t fumble late I wouldn’t even give it to you at coach. Hard not to be confident when we got blow out by Kingwood Park though🤷🏾‍♂️

A forced fumble late in a State Title game gives us the advantage in coaching?

Your coach has lost as many district games this season alone than ours did in his first 11. Been to three times the amount of state championship games than y'all have been to, and we've never finished below 3rd in the district since he took over.

    Beyond bizarre statement.

LV and Lancaster are better than the teams in our district but next best four teams are probably all in our district. From all the film I’ve watched MN is probably about as good as Baytown Lee.

Our views of our district are completely different. I just don't see it.

McNorth would drill Baytown Lee 9 times out of 10 IMO, just like PAM should've done when they faced off.

Forney is an up and coming team that I fully believe could beat any of the top four teams in your district on a neutral field. No idea what happens tomorrow on that long journey, but I would not be shocked one bit to see the Jackrabbits knock off the Eagles....especially in another rain game.

Heck, I believe Lufkin would beat Crosby and give Kingwood Park/Barbers Hill a game.

Mobile quarterbacks tend to give us fits. They have for years for some reason. but with that being said, i don’t even think we’ve allowed 100 rushing yards in a game this season. If Crosby can muster 200 on us, they deserve to win it.

Marshall, Lufkin and McNorth all finished with 100. We've just also had 3 games that the opponent has finished with negative yardage.

If Crosby comes even close to 200, I'd be utterly shocked.
