I was never a fan of Lindblom... Hated that he was the "major" piece in the Young trade... Profar is probably here to stay now in some fashion.... At least Darvish is on the hill tonight!!! Probably going to be a rain-out and then possibly a doubleheader tomorrow!!!

Ready to find out how good Lindblom will look in his Rangers debut as a starter... Hopefully the offense will get to Bartolo Colon early and give him some runs to work with against an Oakland team that is scary to me!!!

The Athletics are the defending division champions for a reason... They are a scary team that is not flashy, but is capable of catching the Rangers again... With that said, Holland will throw a gem tonight!!!

I'm not saying he will no-hit the Astros, but Houston is not disciplined enough at the plate to do anything against Darvish... I predict an 8 inning, two-hit performance with 15 K for Darvish tonight... Rangers will win tonight somewhere in the 9-0 range!!!

This time next week, we'll be celebrating a Rangers beating of the Suckstros!!!

I know that we are in the majority on this thing, but the WBC has been great... I hated to see the US lose to Puerto Rico, but the final game between Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic will be GREAT!!!

Duke will handle Miami the next time they play... Miami is just the flavor of the week right now, just like N.C. State was at one point in the ACC....

But what does the trade say to the fans? If I was an Astros fan, I would be irate at the current state of the team.... When Lowrie was healthy last year, he was one of the bright spots.... I agree, try to gather as many young prospects as you can, but you have to put fans in the seats somehow, and the promise of a bright future doesn't do that.... Their team payroll is less than a handful of players will make alone this year...

I would rather them not let anyone in than put everyone in... Biggio will get in, and I think he deserves to get in... But I don't have a problem with him not getting in first ballot....

And now reports that Daniels is considering leaving Profar and Olt on the big league squad to add depth.... This team is starting to take shape....

The Rangers are going be just fine.... Lots of fans stressing over no big signings, but Pierzynski was a big signing.... Not sure what they were thinking by trading away Jed Lowrie... They got back some prospects, but I'm not sure how close they are to being in the majors... Not trying to down them, but they will more than likely have to work very hard to not lose 100!!!

Miami and Duke are really good, N.C. State and North Carolina are good, and that's about it... Might be the weakest we have seen the ACC in quite some time... Someone else out of the conference will make the tournament, probably Virginia, but they don't necessarily deserve it...

If I had to pick right now, I'd say Indiana is the team to beat and Florida is a close second.... Indiana is scary athletic, and they have Zeller on the inside.... Florida meanwhile can shoot the lights out and I hope and pray that is the matchup we see in the Championship Game.... Best four teams RIGHT NOW (So in essence my Final Four picks) Indiana Florida Gonzaga Michigan

C- Geovany Soto (or a FA pickup, possibly Pierzynski?) 1B- Mitch Moreland 2B- Jurickson Profar 3B- Adrian Beltre SS- Elvis Andrus LF- David Murphy CF- Craig Gentry RF- Nelson Cruz DH- Ian Kinsler There are other guys who will get some time, including Leonys Martin.... I think we will get another left-handed bat as well, maybe a Nick Swisher or an Adam LaRoche.... As far as the order, how about this: 1. Andrus 2. Gentry 3. Beltre 4. Cruz 5. Murphy 6. Kinsler 7. Moreland 8. Soto 9. Profar Thoughts?

Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim = Philadelphia Eagles Regardless of what Yankees fans may say, you cannot buy a championship in sports anymore!!! While it happens from time to time, it doesn't happen all the time!!!

Why would I want the Rangers to give him a 5 year deal, when he won't make it the duration of the contract?  This guy is older than you would like to see a guy get a deal like that, and his body is even older given his substance abuse issues.... Everyone is down on the Rangers because Napoli, Young and Hamilton are gone, but if you think logically about it, Napoli did not contribute much in 2012, he was streaky but inconsistent, and Young was nothing to write home about either.... I love Michael Young, but it was time for him to go.... Hamilton's production will be tough to replace, no doubt about it.... But I'm excited that guys like Murphy and Gentry will get a chance to be out there more often.... Those guys both hit .300 and Gentry is tough to slow down on the base paths....

You have to think that one of the reasons they wanted to host this game was to have a run through for NCAA tournament action there in the next few years.... It was embarrassing to see so few people there, but with Texas and UCLA both being bad, I can't blame people for not going.... A few years ago when this game was scheduled there, surely no one thought both teams would be that bad...
