  1. Dont know about the fans but their cheerleaders as a squad did a navasota rattlers chant to taunt the HF side as well as gyrating and making lewd body motions instead of cheering their own fans and team at the conclusion of the game. I have never seen such a display of unsportsmanship and disrespect  exhibited by a group of young ladies who were representing their school except maybe in the movie "bring it On". And to top it off their sponsor appeared to be proud and supportive of her squad and their behavior.
  2. Can I say... Whatever? No one here saying this is the best team to ever step foot in the longhorn gym.. Just TRYING to be positive about a talented group of CHILDREN (that read this stuff!) who are about to start district play. They have everything they need to advance to the playoffs and their fans should be behind them supporting their efforts. They all bring 100% to the game and none deserve to be slammed on a public forum. btw solo they're not ranked 17th because they are a bunch of slackers! AND no... I do not have a daughter on this team.
  3. "from manager to starter" ...boloney!!! Any girls on the bench last year not suited up were injured players.  Get facts straight. This ladyhorn team has lots of talented girls. Hard to say which are the best five because they all have something great that they bring to the floor . They cant all play the whole game. HF is fortunate to have such an awesome group of girls to represent their community.
  4. Congrats to WOS!

    On the other note:

Our kids, what ever school they may attend, need to remember the old saying, "One bad apple spoils the bunch."

People tend to remember the one kid who has a lapse in judgement, not the 13 other players that are not showing their rears. Not fair, but true.

HF baseball has many fine young men representing their school. Please don't judge the whole basket because of the actions of one.

  5. I know you said not to mention consistency but I think it is the main thing no matter what...if a ref calls a game terribly for both sides its still hard to complain about him

I agree with this. However, if referrees consistently not call blocking, tripping and are slow to call jump balls, not only are they teaching players that football on the basketball court is acceptable, but the safety of the players are at risk.

  6. I thought that for a road game at HF the Hecklers did a decent job, however it was so quiet in that gm that you could hear a mouse fart!!!!! :D :D :D

However honestly Hecklers the Heckler that made the comment about the HF cheerleader should really consider things before he says them.  That was low class and what gives HJ and the Hecklers a bad name.

I apologize to HF and their fans for the rude comments made by a "low class Heckler"!!! >:( >:(

ok...seriously? ...this is the comment that was made...

(as the gym went silent...due to NO SPIRIT from the HORNS)

"HEY, MAYBE YALL SHOULD LET THE CHEERLEADERS PLAY...AT LEAST THE GAME WOULD LOOK A LITTLE BETTER"

clearly a statement that complements the HORNS CHEERLEADERS...sayin they looked good that night...they laughed...???  how was this a comment that is low class?????

Im not puttin you down zeek...cuz i know you stick up for us pretty often (and we appreciate it) ....but really what is wrong with that????    ??? ???

One's School's Spirit is about you and your school. It is cheering and supporting your team. It can be seen when fans dress in school shirts and colors, when they are present at games, when they cheer for their team, when they clap for team or player accomplishments and even when you see fans sporting face and body paint in school colors. School spirit tends to be higher and more readily noticed when your team is on a winning streak. If one team’s fans has high energy, it does not suggest that the opposing team's fans or players have an absence of spirit.

One's School's Spirit is not about the other school. It is not degrading, making fun of, or criticizing the opposing team at a game or on message boards.

Wherever they’re from, ALL athletes work hard and put many hours of sweat and pride into their game - no matter their ability. These athletes from all schools are young adults who deserve respect.

BTW – It was the referee who called out the “Heckler†and thought the remark was inappropriate, not anyone from H-F.

  7. Well said Rizon. IMO - Human nature for older girls to feel slighted about freshman playing on varsity, but the season is almost through and they need to get over it and learn to play as a team. Until that happens...

BTW - 2 have quit this week. Maybe the remainder will be serious about the game and play like they are capable of doing. There is a lot of talent there.

    Let's go Lady Horns!
