I can honestly say as I was apart of the 07 team.. we were nowhere near the best in the state but got hot at the right time and played as a team! Carthage had one of best teams I’ve seen in HS baseball that year and BC took them down. Continue what yall have done and good things will happen. Enjoy this moment!! Go Dawgs!

Grayson Rodriquez from Central Heights projected to go between 10th and 21st overall. Latest mock draft this morning had him at 11 to the O’s!

Better make an adjustment early and hit the ball where it’s pitched. 1 run on a kid throwing 78-79 with a curveball isn’t good. All or nothing today. Hope they come out ready to play! Go dawgs!!

Middlebrooks didn’t throw against Jasper in 07. He threw the day before

Dogs, better bring your A game!

At this point, rankings don’t mean anything. If you make it to these rounds everyone is good and playing good baseball. 

But if you want to look at it like that... I’d rather be the “underdog”. You’re suppose to lose. Therefore play with nothing to lose and don’t look back! Let them play with all the pressure.

Consistency is key!

Waco Robinson is always loaded with arms but Jasper is swinging it well and playing with all the confidence in the world. Their staff has held their on as well. Should be a fun series and a great atmosphere. Go Dawgs

1st off the size of a person doesn’t have anything to do with bat. I played with guys in the high school and college that swung the same size bat as me and was much smaller. Some guys can generate more whip with their bat speed and make up the ground of “someone way bigger then them”. Some guys prefer to be choked up a little bit at all times.. so go ahead and throw the size of someone out.

you can say all day boosters buy the bats, which they may; however, I have never seen a team use the EXACT same bat for EVERY player.  Not everyone will like the feel, as has brought up, unless.......

Well let’s be honest.. if you say they got a loaded bat.. WHY would they just start using it late in the game? At the end of the day Jasper has dominated BC in the playoffs over the years and yet we hear the excuses every time. Jasper has always been known for hitting so well and nothing has changed! Sadly people like you give BC people a bad name

They might have a game bat and BP bat. With the BBCOR bats losing pop so quick... have a bat just for games! I mean we even did that before the BBCOR Era.

One interesting fact from last night, that I have never seen before in all the years of being around the game.  Has anyone else seen a High School team use 1 bat from hitters 1-9?  The on deck player would go to the plate without a bat or bring same brand/year model bat to the plate, but then switch to the bat previous hitter used.  Don't get me wrong, they outplayed us and deserve to move on, but what is so special about that one bat????

Typical BC comment here. With the BBCOR era it’s not shocking. These bats aren’t made as consistent as they used to be. It’s all about preference and feel.. maybe they only got 1 size they like and only have 1? You did so good congratulating the bulldogs on a great series and then had to put something on the end like this.. 

Jasper owns Bridge City in the playoffs! Both very talented teams. BC will be very fun to watch over the next couple years! Good luck Dawgs

Ned is scrappy with good pitching and good hitters, but so is BH. BH is about 12 deep on pitching and the bats have been hot for the most part. I say BH edges it out in 3 games due to a little bit more pitching.

Well said! I’ve watched both play this year and this series should go 3. Gonna be a fun one to watch!

Also a big difference between tournament and pre district games.. this is round 3 of the playoffs. History in the playoffs says take Jasper but I think it’s BC in 3. Should be some good games. 

Make sense! I was thinking they were done but guess I’m a few weeks ahead of myself.

Anyone know why they skipped Thursday? Maybe pitch count purposes??

Always fun to watch these two teams match up in the playoffs. Wish they would’ve played all of them at Lamar!
