Could there be a chance WOS could start the season at 0-2 with losses to Dayton & Bay City?

I don't see WOS beating Bay City this year.

I saw both those games that the blackcats won.But the game in 2000 we got very lucky an won that game,i thought we would blow nederland away ,those kids came ready to play we stopped them at the 1ft line and won 7-0.

Have been to a few practices this spring.From what i can see Bay City will be alright and more competive.The kids are practicing with alot of enthusiasm and that also goes for the coaching staff.We have 3 kids back that left the team last yr and they are DE Nathan Williams 6-2 210 sr 4.5.,DB Fred Agu 6-2 170 sr 4.5,RB/LB Randy Tanner 5-10 190 sr 4.6.The Blackcats won't be with out size in the line with OT Mitch Kimberling 6-4 280 sr,Matt Ashcraft 6-3 280 sr,Charles Klepec 6-5 230 sr,also newcomers OL Aron Barber 6-3 275 jr,Ryan Kimberling 6-3 270 soph,Joe Chapa 6-5 210 jr.As far as defense DT Mike Smith 6-1 255 sr returns along with DT Mayum Davis 6-0 225,DB'S look for help from CJ Patterson 6-1 170 sr4.5,ZACK Benson 6-0 180 SR 4.7,Derck Montgomery 6-2 190 jr 4.5/ Paul Ellis 5-8 165 sr 4.5.There is alot of talent to work with i think coach elderman will have the kids ready.Missing from practice cause of baseball playoffs are QB Shaun Rutherford 6-0 180 sr 4,5 wr Tony Davis 5-11 170 sr 4.5 .I think we will be ready.

I think the guy will be ok,was in a tough district with Ennis,Corsicana,Waxahachie will have better athletes to work with in Bay City.Going monday night when Dick Walton presents his recomendation to the school board.So i will get to meet him,going to get my son to go with me he is a jr at U&H wants to coach in Bay City when he gets out.My daughter and niece already teach in the school district i guess keeping it all in the family.I will post some more stuff when i get more info.

Bay City isd officials travel today to the dallas area to talk to and visit the Red Oak campus.They said who ever was chosen for the job that they would go to the school of the canidate chosen.All i know is that he runs a spread offense/4-2-5 defense.Im am surprised cause i thought for sure Mitchell from Sinton was there man.

I say Nederland has the best staff,back in 2000 we went into the region finals thinking we would just blow away the bulldogs.We had just come off a big win over Forrest Brook 49-7 thought our size & speed would be too much for them.We won that game 7-0 with the bulldogs on the 1yd line on a 4th and 1 goaline stand.

Bay City should be ok,lots of starters coming back on off/def.I guess alot depends on who the next hc/ad will be but i think we will be alright.We should have a huge off line C Klepec 6-5 230,SPurswell 6-1 240,C Liessner 5-11 240,M Ashcraft 6-3 275,M Kimberling 6-4 270,also DT M Smith 6-2 270,lb M Daniels 6-1 220,LB F Hawkins 6-0 200,M Davis 6-0 230.Plus we have all our skill people back QB S Rutherford, wr F Agu 6-3 175, D Dale 6-1 180, K Ford 6-0 180,T Davis 6-0 175.Like i said lets see what the new coach brings to the table and how the kids respond.

Other than this one down year that the city cats have had,Craig Stump probally has a better chance at winning a state championship in Bay City than he does at WB.I think he could win more with better athletes in BC than at WB.And you have to remember he was interested in the Bay City job before.

Im talking about criag stump,the one that QB at PAJ.He is the HC/AD at Westbrook correct?

Warren Trahan won't leave Dickinson because of the $,but little bull someday might be a head coach.

A coach in 24 4a i heard might be interested,but it would take some $ to lure him away from that school.Also i think the off/cord at Lamar Cons. might be a canidate he also was the off/line coach at Bay City when Morris was there.I think some other coaches that might apply might be Cuero hc/ad,EC df/cord Sweeny hc/ad,and like i said CS from BWB.There was also a rumor that Trahan might be back,but i don't see him leaving Dickinson.

Being a wise guy,you and alot of other coaches.Even if he were to be back i look for Bay City to be to strong for WOS next year.If the city cats get the right guy,look for Bay City to be a power house team again.As long as WOS has Dan Hooks they will always be tough.

All my contacts have told me after the loss to Lamar Cons., he was told his contract would not be renewed.I have been told he has not been in school,and i talked to one of the coaches on the staff and asked him how the offseason was doing he told me great but was worried about if they would still have a job.I asked this one person again he told me Cherry was gone,100% sure.I have not seen anything or a statement made yet but i look for some kind of news soon.When its made official look for a lot of coaches applying for the job,lots of talent coming up and a very good team coming back size,speed.

I keep hearing his name come up,he was interested in the job before i think he would fit in great in Bay City.If he got the job,who are some of the coaches that might come with him?

If Stump going to apply anywhere i look for him to maybe consider the job opening in Bay City.The city cats return 30 lettermen 9 offense/8 defense starters jv went 6-4,frosh 8-2,plenty of talent i look for Stump to take a shot at it.He was a canidate for the job after Chad Morris left Bay City but the job was given to Allan Cherry.Bay city runs a great spread formation great wr coming up,what does Stump run on defense?

The fumbles and special teams play killed the city cats.We had 2 fumbles that resulted in SP TD,also 2 bad snaps on punts resuted in 2 TD.We started each drive inside our 20 yd line that just killed us.We just have to get over it and get ready for next week game against Waller hopefully we have our nightmare game out of our system.

Bay City & Friendswood scrimmage sat.I won't be able to post anything till thurs night.But i will post somrthing i know you wos fans want to know how good Bay City going to be.

Bay City vs Friendswood aug 19 in Bay City. This will be a good test for the young blackcats that will start at least 7 underclassmen on defense.
