Good point, not very exciting. It sure does seem like Bay City could have done better with the athletes theey have on the field. If they don't get better look for them to go to a spread offense.Thats the only offense they have run the last 8 yrs.

Great win for Dayton I thought it would be a closer game.I think bay city will get better looks like you guys are on a roll congratulation.

Bay City held there own and looked good on both sides of the ball in there scrimmage against St Pius.I was not at the scrimmage but i talked to the dad who son plays QB.The onle problem he see's is they may need more conditioning.The last part of the scrimmage was live against the clock,that is when they looked like they struggled.They blackcats have alot of talent and there special teams kicker & punter are very good.I se the blackcats giving dayton all they can handle Bay City by 7.

I will try to post some stuff on the Blackcats,they start on mon -11.There 1st scrimage is on the 22 of aug against St Pius.

Ozen thanks for the info,i know the city cats played then in 2001 they did not have much size or speed. dayton is significantly smaller than those years but is much quicker. there are no eye poppers on size or speed really (barring our QB's size...) just good football players that play together. looking forward to this one. also, most of the prognosticators who are predicting a blowout are not dayton fans. I thought so,i expect a very good game im going with the upset and taking Bay City in a close one 28-24

What kind of size & speed does Dayton have? The kind you win games with. In that case you guy's must alway's make deep playoff run's,or have played for a state championship or is that watched a championship game played.

I know that they have 3 kids in 4.4 range.I know 2 of them ran track wr Tommy Singletary,rb Gordon Wyche ran a 10.8 in 100mt this track season.The other kid wr Cobie Hines is right behind them 4.5.I know that coaches do stretch the truth.The other kids are in the 4.5-4.6 range,they are going to have some speed as far as size they are very big up front,but the real ? is going to be how they adjust to running a wing t offense.I know the 2 QB'S that they have are nothing to what they had last yr,but in a running offense they will probally be ok.I expect a very good game with Dayton the city cats have thier work cut out against them,but i don't see a blow out like some Dayton fans think,Robert Blackmon will have them ready to play.

You are right we don't have much size,i i think are fastest kid really runs around a 5.0 fortyand are biggest linemen is 5-10 240.I think Dayton should be ranked #1 in the state,we may not even show up what for write us off ok.

Probably cause they have not made deep runs in the playoffs other than last year.This year game wiyh Dayton will be a good one,im still going to take BC in this to much speed,expience,size plus we got more atheletes coming back in the program that had left.It still going to be a close game but i will stick with the city cats.

Dayton will have a very good team a big test for the city cats,the cats a very expienced this year the one thing that robert blackmon has done is to bring out some of the athletes that dropped out of the program and are know playing.They also brought in a very good O/C by the name of Anthony Ray the stand out RB from Wharton High School.I think this is one team that is going to sneek up on some folks,the city cats year may not be 1 yr away.We respect the Dayton program and know this will be a very tough game for the city cats i will take Bay City 28- Dayton 24.

Remember dayton lost to this young wos team,and the city cats beat them.

What are your thoughts on this game.The city cats return 8 starters on defense, and 2 on offense.The offense is going to a wing t offense and run some spread when they have to,the defense switches from a 4-3,to a 4-2-5.The offense line will have plent of size j chapa 6-5 230,a barber 6-2 265,c liesner 6-0 245,r kimberling 6-3 270,te j griggs 6-1 195.As far as speed they return c hines 5-7 150 4.4,g whyce 5-9 165 4.4,t singletary,6-0 170 4.4,l wilcox 5-11 180 4.5.The city cats have a tough non schedule dayton,yates,dickinson,cuero.

The Blackcats under Robert Blackmon will give Dayton a very good game

Its Newman job if he wants it.He will have lots to work with but from i hear from some of the cougar fans is they may have there first losing season in years.They play a very tough non district schedule with Ball High and North Shore.But if anybody can get them back to the big dance its going to be Newman

No thats ok,i have read enough bashing on hear about him.But i think he did apply the last time the bay city job came open.

The guy left was really surprised when he got the job.They will get some good people to apply the kids played real hard last yr,the defense was real young they return 8 starters on that defense.As far as the offense we will be ok have some good athletes and very good speed.Come WOS put us on your schedule,i wonder if your D/C might be interested in the BC job.They are 1-2 yrs away from making a deep playoff run the talent there,just need a commited coach to stay.

Don't know if we are going to play any teams from setx,but as far as the city cats DEFENSE they return 8 starters,and 3 on offense.They will reload as far as wr's positions lots of speed and probally a better running game than last yr.They will go with a kid by the name of Travis Tomek 5-11 180 4.6,decent arm i don't see 3000 yds passing from this kid but the kid is very tough.They still will run the no huddle offense but i see them morre balanced on offense next yr.The defense will be the key to a championship.

Are the Blackcats and WOS going to play each other next year?The city cats return 8 starters on defense and 3 on offense.The passing game won't be like this year,but the cats running game will be much inproved with Letvin Wilcox 5-10 165 jr 4.5,Gordon Wyhce 5-10 160 jr 4.4.The blackcats defense should be back to what it was in the glory days,the offense will come around.Really look forward to playing you guys every year always a very hard hitting game.

I take wharton in this one,lots of team speed and they will be more diciplined than in years past.You won't see a pure spread offense like in years past van sant will run more of a multiple offense.

The last 2 games against wos have been horrible.The program went down and with it was the hype with this game to.I think this year you are going to see the blackcats play like they did with morris and trahan.We have a very good chance to go into the wos game 2-0.

Yes i remember that game,one of the hardest hitting games i have ever seen.As far as this year we should be alot better have the numbers as far as returning starters back,something like 8-9 starters back.The kids have responded back very well to the new coaching staff,will look like the old Bay City teams we are use to seeing.Good luck to you guys against Dayton see you in Pearland. ;D
