  1. Tuesday Chronicle still says 7:00 PM Friday.
  2. Look for Central to take charge again and win district now that Dayton is out of the picture- the remaining three spots could go to any other team with the possible exeption of LCM. The district got weaker overall when Dayton was replaced with Livingston. It should be more fun to watch this year, however.
  3. Maybe- Only problem is that three of the schools in the district may go 5A after next season (Goose Creek, North Forest & Kingwood)
  4. Are there any comedy clubs in Beaumont? That may give you something to do on Friday nights this fall when you lose interest in football (probably around the end of September)
  5. I work with a lot of people from that area- The problem is not with the students- It is with the adults- They just flat out do not get along. Hopefully they can act more like their children for their children's sake. Anybody who has been around for a while knows what bickering parents can do to a program.
  6. 10-0 huh? Someone might want to remind them the Broncos are back.
  7. Dayton receivers were wide open all day- Cody had plenty of time to pick one because the Raider pass rush never even got close. I think overall that Dayton is better than at this time last year. Raiders have very little speed on defense and no passing game- They've got a lot of work to do before district play starts or there may not be a rematch come playoff time. Nothing against them, but they are no where near where they were this time last year.
  8. Just got home from the Dayton/Lumberton scrimmage I didn't see anything that would make anybody scared of Lumberton this season. And before anybody says "It was just a scrimmage", what happened to "Practice like you play"?
  9. WOS offense had trouble moving the ball- All their points came off of turnovers. Dayton defense performed better than expected after reading Coach Stewart's comments earlier in the week. Dayton offense was impressive- Most starters only played first half but Green and Dugat lit up WOS defense, especially with short to midrange passes over the middle- Offensive line was excellent- no pressure on Dayton QB's- only weak spot looks to be at RB. WOS defense had good coverage on outside routes, but got burned up the middle, even in second half when Dayton played mostly second team against WOS starters. WOS will be OK- Too good coaches and too much talent not to be. If Dayton can come up with a RB, they could be better than last year.
  10. If the old adage, "Offense sells tickets, defense wins championships" holds true, LT will have a few more fans there, but the Broncos will win the game. Broncos 42 LT 21
