1. Re Central game- I don't remember who blocked it- but I'm almost positive it was a blocked extra point
Please explain how Crosby's winning 19-4A proves that 20-4A is stronger.
I think he means because PNG beat Crosby
If we judge the strength of one whole district against another based on one game early in the season, then I guess we would have to say that 21-3A is "stronger" than 20-4A, since WOS waxed both Ned and LCM

4.
The best defense we had was the year Lloyd Ligons (sp) got hurt and couldn't play QB.  That was the year of just needing a QB.
I agree- Callaghan, Street, Anderson, Wright, Morais Awesome defense Not to mention if Lloyd had stayed healthy, Micah Peoples could have played defense full time. I believe they would have taken Bay City
5. Mike is the publisher of the new "Texas High School All-Sports magazine.
6. Kenneth Almond Sr. was head coach in the 60's, then became Superintendant Kenneth Almond Jr. (Bubba Ross) was an All-state LB/RB in the mid 70's I'm pretty sure Bruce Pruitt was head coach in 71
7. The biggest difference is last year's team ran into Lake Travis in the semi's- Other than that not much.
8. I along with every other Bronco fan was thrilled to see LT go D1 this year- playing them is like playing a college team.
9. The Hilton is perfect if you can afford it- It's right on the Riverwalk and about a 20 minute walk through Hemisfair Park to the Alamodome. You can impress your lady and help support Paris at the same time.
10. probably true but they couldnt have picked a poorer site as far as fan travel goes....dayton gets the shorter trip and thats about a 6 hour drive i think (havent been out to san antonio in a while)....SFA wouldve been dead in the middle of the 2 schools... 6 hours?? That must have been a looong time ago. It's an easy 4 hour drive from Dayton
11. When Dayton moved back to 19-4A, were they removed from the record books of 20-4A? I could have sworn there was a three way tie for first last year. That's what I love about Halliburton- he never lets the facts get in the way.
12. Let's face it- Bronco fans are spoiled. We expect the offense to score 50-60 points every game and we expect the defense to pitch a shutout. Livingston knew what they had to do to win and they almost did it. They just didn't have quite enough horsepower at the end of the game to pull it off. They deserve a lot of credit. To that small group of Dayton fans who find it necessary to sing that silly "NA NA NA NA, Hey Hey Hey, Goodbye" song when the game is in hand, you need to realize that the team we just played is composed of teenaged boys just like the ones on our team. They came out and played to the best of their ability and deserve way more respect than you are giving them. They also have mothers, fathers, grandparents, etc. who want to see them win just as much as we want to see our team win. You can be happy for your team without showing disrespect for the other team.
13. Livingston came in with a game plan and ran it almost perfectly and they almost pulled off the win. Can we borrow #44 for the rest of the playoffs? AJ Dugat is awesome, intercepting a 4th down pass in the back of the end zone and bringing it back 60 yards. Even though there were points scored after that, that pretty much ended the game. Hats off to the Lions. Good luck next season.
