Well I suppose if pollsters have Dayton ranked 4th in pre-season polls-15th in current poll,in the Semi-final game against Kerrvill Tivy(By Texas Prep Insider.com) for 4A DIV.2-Put up Offensive#s over 3,800 yds.while allowing less than 14 points on DEFENSE per game-Punting 9 times in 7 games,I would tend to BELIEVE the BRONCOS got a little respect going.Blogging about it is just opinions yours and mine.I have looked at Dist.standings,stats,boxscores @ every web site available in dozens of areas in se texas and I see alot of teams pretty evenly matched(CHRON.COM).There will be some upsets coming in round #1.As for me do not see a roadblock in div.#2 for Dayton anytime soon.Dayton vs.Elgin/Montgomery winner rd.#2.

It is my pick,don't make a living or bet on football games.Crazy things happen every day in sports.You have your opinion,I have mine.Less than 24 hrs.they'll tee it up.White buffaloe shows up at cool stadium w/tears in his eyes to see he has been replaced by a Cougar.But good luck follows.

Well said;But they for the most part put alot more $ into sports equipment @ facilities.But S.E Texas & others so.of Houston have made deep playoff runs @ a few Titles along the way.Even as good as Friendswood has played,they were in some real close games they almost lost.EXAMPLE:Beat Manvel 3/4 weeks ago by 1.Held Manvel out of the endzone on a 2 point try w/1 min.left in the game.They can be beat.We will see.That Dist. has been here many times.Take no game for granted now.One game at a time.Stewart will demand this of his Broncos.These threads are speculation by fans @ pollsters.Now any loss sends you to round ball.Play 100%,Good luck Dayton Broncos.Good luck to Friendswood in Div.#1.Please somebody bring home the title back to S.E.TEXAS.

Toups gotta believe Crosby hangs close.Yes they lost early to PNG,But weeks after that PNG took Lumberton into overtime and now are minus A.Beard.Crosby shocks everybody and wins 26-21.The other picks o.k.

Don't forget PNG who took "L"Train into OT.Boy this should hit home as they may replace a great coach@the reservation.

Looks just like the makins of sportswriters eating crow,as of late about who is #1.There evidently is Quite a few Districts pretty evenly matched.Lots of 3&4 loss teams.Big tradition playoff schools have new coaches & rebuilding-Some have been seperated by district re-alignments.I gotta pick the teams w/better Coaching records to play on in pressure games.

We certainly are looking ahead for this weeks game w/Livingston Lions.We won't take any team for granted as some earned the right to be there.We just do what we do,play 100% every snap.If the UIL wants to throw teams like Manor in w/3 wins & 7 losses,we will just get lots of playing time for non-starters.Look out Lions (slow)A.J. has some fast forward stuff to make you look pathetic.

Would you believe 4A Division 2-Region 3-- has 8 teams out of 16 w/4 or more losses-1 team Manor has 3 wins & 7 losses--there are 3 teams in w/3 losses--3 teams w/2 losses--Dayton/Lumberton w/1 each.

We will see,this weeks game has not been played.Last week he sat out most of the second half w/a stomach virus,but he had 182 tot.yds.w/2 tds for the game.

I heard the Crosby Kroger will have crow on sale for 1/2 off w/your "L" Train Card starting @10:00 pm Fri.

Heck know,I'd never buy a Enterprize to read.I have seen a time I would love to have one to wipe with.I get info from the Enterprize website before it goes out.Everyone who has looked @ their HS Football articles know how they have constantly week by week slammed the Dayton Broncos.I am proud for all those that rec.regonition & sad for those who were completely shunned as a team that went to the final four in 4A.

HS Coaches have game film to look at,rewind,slo-mo,so on.Every coach thinks their #1 playmaker should be on the list & some other coaches who can see real talent agree.But surely fans & sportswriters cannot get it right.All i asked for CHRISTMAS was for "THE BEAUMONT ENTERPRIZE "HATERS" to take their discrimanating paper out of Liberty,Co.But I wake up to go see & find they are still in the news stand.

Sporting news people have been making mistakes forever,so have fans & their fav picks.Coaches are the best talent evalueators[mp]they look at film all the time.I can only tell my opinion as well as yours.I will go on record to say "THE [HATER}AWARD OF THE YEAR- THE BEAUMONT ENTERPRIZE NEWSPAPER

Just maybe he had a son on a 4 th place dist.team. If they created some new districts & started 1 week earlier they could pull it off.Under the radar a 4th seed team could get red hot at the season end & knock out a overconfident #1 team.Happens all the time.In college who is #1 ????????That is what I thought who knows.

Don't be a hater of the Broncos.We will make you better being in your district.We like it over here ,we are tired of beating our old dist.folks.

Ho-Hum-All I want for Christmas is for the Beaumont Enterprize to please take your discrimanating newspaper out of Liberty Co.All year your sports staff has slammed Dayton & the Broncos who went to the final four.Your sports coverage people need a real job, they are just awful.Congradulations to the coach & players who were honored.

I believe it was stated something about adding a 4 th team out of districts to the playoffs.

Was a very good game & Highland Park played well enough to win but made a few mistakes.Lake Travis never trailed in this game & Gilbert was outstanding again.You Broncos did well & stayed within a point after 1 quarter.Next year maybe you can turn the tide & win it all.To get to the final 4 was a history making event.Thanks for the memories.

Getting ever so close was still a fantastic football journey for the Dayton Broncos,hard as is was to lose,your all winners.Now you know what it takes to step up another level even so think of the blessings a Hurricane named Katrina sent to you.Qb G.Charles formerly from New Orleans,La./without him Dayton may not have shared the dist.title so let's all be thankful for what was accomplished,treasure it,build on it, & share a part of it to our s.e.texas neighbors/ lumberton the team that beat us but showed us our weakness's and the rest is all in the record book for all forever.My congradulations to PNG also for their great season also.I stated in a early forum one PNG coached myself & brother @ Dayton-Coach Riley Burnett a class man,I think the coach of the year is a relative,but Riley does still coach @ PNG.Wow that goes back for me to the late 60's,my brother early 70's.

Well spoken.Austin is a great team,a fine QB & great recievers yes they have them.It so reminded me of what other teams said about Dayton[ it was like they new every play & how to defend it ] The Broncos were taken out of their game plan,too many 3 & outs,int.& fumbles from out of rythm &sync.The experts had it on the nose w/ Lake Travis passing 80 percent of the time.A loss is a loss even by 1 pt.It was a hard loss for Dayton,but a lesson well remembered.

Purple 4 ever,still wondering what Dayton's game plans were?Not trying to be the coach here,but seems like we ran the same plays as usual.This far in the playoffs teams look @ lots of film of opponents,where is the new?It was like our go to big game player A.J was not involved much in the game.If you cannot stop a great passing team,contol the game clock W/a rushing attack & make them pay for any miscues.Gable did o.k when he got it,Charles ran a time or two W/success.If it had been rainy bad weather what was the game plan?Est.a ground game & passing will open up right.Oh well guess we will make another run next year.Still love those Broncos but got outcoached again like the La Marque game in the dome a few tears back.
