Congradulations on a great season.Austin has a great team & their coaches had made ajustments to take Dayton out of sync & out of their game plan.We had our shots,but shot ourself in the foot.Austin kept the kicks away from A.J & dbl.teamed him everywhere.Great game plan for Austin.Dayton just got beat by the better team on that day.Broncos will be back for run #13,time now for round ball.

Hey lobo chill,what makes you think any differant than the usual Bronco game,outside two miscues last week.I believe Dayton has not even ever been behind @ halftime since game #4 this year, 5 shutouts,hold great teams lumberton-png-crosby to [ 1 ] touchdown each-skunk livingston-lead waller 21-0 at halftime.My pick Broncos 50-19

I know this blog as stated before Austin L.Travis beat #1 Houston area[ Tx.City ] in game #1 this year 32-31.Tx.City went undefeated the rest of the season till they got chrushed by Dayton 4 weeks ago in the cold & rain 42-10 & did not manage a 1 st down till 2 min.before halftime. I know that district w/La Marque-Dickinson-Friendswood-Brazosport & playoff rival Bay City are all better than Lake Travis opponents who A cpl. 3 win/7 loss teams nearly beat them.True they put up some numbers but what kind of numbers do you think G.Charles & Bronco recievers would have put up if #1 Charles had QB'd 14 instead of 10 games & passed 80-90 percent of the time.Look for Dayton to have a monster game against their defense,and shut down Austin.50-19

Fearless I look for the "BRONCOS" Magnificent 11 on DEFENSE to keep Lake Travis at bay & poor field position,as they have all season.I see a repeat Tx.City game here.Every team states Dayton knows all their plays & how to defend them.My football shocker pick 50-19 BRONCOS.Same story DAYTON scores early & often.SHOCK & AWE*****

I can remember some of those games,still had vietnam 68 on my mind.What team did Jeff Bergeron play on?He was fun to watch.

The big story for now is the gametime weather conditions.The wealthy class of Lake Travis will not have the ac & heated indoor practice field @college station.After a few body shots in the wet/cold they won't want any more.I have watched country boys for years get out in the cold/wet/mud to play a little football.Dayton will take it to them "BIG TIME" 50-19

With Green/Dugat back for their sr.yr.& a likely hood of a state title in their grasps,losing 12 seniors will not effect those "BRONCOS"as many underclassman have gotten playing time this year in blowout games + a really good jv team moving up to fill the gaps.Nearly every program I have seen this year Dayton has been outnumbered by 6 to 12 more seniors..

The scoop just continues to look better for the "BRONCOS"as most teams they have larger players have failed to move the ball effectively.Dayton plays defense w/confidence as they win coin flips & kick instead of receive.Many have said you can't coach speed w/shiftey moves.On offense all it takes is a crease & the footrace is over.

That is true,6 of their wins against teams w/20 wins between them & 40 losses.Remember this,Dayton has played a much harder schedule & could have put up many more points but instead let reserves & jv boys get playing time & they kneeled to let the clock run down near the goal line.So Dayton's 478 pts.scored could have been more/defensive pts.allowed could have been less had the "A" team remained on the field.

With a quick/hard hitting "D" 8.1 pts.allowed per game what else needs to be said here.

If it gets nasty[100]pts.it will be the "BRONCOS"putting up the bulk.G.Charles #1 may break the pass record.

Hello RKHUFU 7 That is true but Friendswood was a good team losing to teams like Tx.City by less than a f/goal,but it was close.Austin had trouble with two 3 & 7 teams & played a very weak schedule.Not to worry now[FRIDAY NIGHT BRING YOUR CRYING TOWEL}& a rubber cushion{so you won't get shocked to bad]as "DAYTON'S DEFENSE" has allowed a mere 8.1 pts.per game all year w/5 shutouts.Austin gets shocked in this one.The "BRONCOS" can & will put up alot of points,the main worry for Austin{bring plenty headache tablets]

Wow,it dawned on me finally.?why do state football teams seem to be good many years afterward.I have followed Dayton since the 1961 team lost to Brady in the qtr.finals,but even going to the playoffs many more yrs.-I have not seen this much spirit,pride,until your nearly there.The young people are on fire over the Broncos,and I believe next year will yield many more players & talent like cream will rise to the top for their little piece of Friday night glory.

Two wide open offenses/two weak defenses=4 *Game #4 playoffs over.Game #5 bad news for either team.Offense sells tickets/Defenses win championships.

Any win will be nice for the broncos.Ok,let's look at it like this-If it was Tx.City vs.Austin who would be heavily favored??????????Austin Lake Travis beat them in game #1 this year 32-31 & Tx.City had not lost another game until they took it on the chin by the Broncos 42-10.Tx City told the chronicle Dayton too quick & new every play they had & how to defend against it.Tx.City got their 1st.down w/2 min.left till half.A key Dayton's defense has done all year to keep opponents in poor field position & force pressure to make mistakes.Look @ Waller game/same thing.Waller was stunned-had no answer-but could not keep punting so they gambled on 4th @ 3 several times & converted to keep the ball out of Dayton's hands.If Dayton doesn't fumble[no contact]it's a blowout.I sat next to Tx.City/La Marque/PNG fans,who said the same.Stewart has been here before/they will be ready.50-19 BRONCOS.
