Will be an interesting matchup.   Talk about a meltdown…. If this new 4-2-5 defense can’t stop the Newton running game, it will get loud in WO.

I’m still going with WOS, Newton is young, and WOS should have the horses to win, despite lack of coaching.    Curious to see if the new DC can make adjustments and Coach these kids up.

You know Newton will throw tons of formations at WOS to see if they can get lined up.   This is a game where the 50 defense and CT will be missed the most.

    Woodville runs a 4-2-5

We must've seen 2 different scrimmages. I recall 3 scores but who's counting. Credit WV with everything they did well. Don't let the Eagles head swell too big. Be proud of what they accomplished against us. Takes guts to come to our place for any competition. I see WV as a winner or runner up in their district. Good luck the rest of the season.

Name the scores….outside zone to the left during the controlled period was the first. The next was a deep pass during the live period.

OZ forward progress was stopped but no whistle. Long pass was after the ball was snapped over the QBs head that should have been blown dead.

  3. So nobody is going to give Woodville’s 4-2-5 any credit? 2 TDS given the entire scrimmage? Against one of the top programs in Texas Football history? I was there and one (if not both) should have been blown dead. Those boys (who mostly played both ways) came to play. Even after the 2 defense came in, they still didn’t give up anything while QB1 and RB1 from WOS when in there! Kudos to the players and coaches from Woodville!!

  4. Woodville has a youth league. Longball24, go volunteer and make a difference instead of being a cyber coach. I can guarantee that you don't have the courage to walk up to any of the guys that coach these kids with that same energy!! Let yourself be known and keep that energy when you're confronted.....

    GO EAGLES!!!!!!!

I think it all depends on how the top three fall in that district.  Orangefield, East Chambers, and Woodville will be tough to beat.  A team like Buna can sneak up and beat someone they aren't supposed to as well.  A bad week in district could cause your playoff run to end earlier.  If what you say is correct about Woodville, I think EC will have the more well rounded team to win.  It will be interesting to see how it pans out.  I hope it is like a few years ago when it was competitive to the end with Buna, Kirbyville, and EC.

Doesn't have a clue what he's talking about lol

Let me apologize for eagles 1. We were lucky to come out of the game against LCM victorious. We are no better than an average 2A ball club. That is why we scheduled powder puff schools to begin with. Hopefully we can get our program where the almighty B/B are . I see where they beat Madisonville 10 to 7. If we stay within 30 of madisonville that will be a moral victory for us.
