In the Semis he came to the huddle with a smile on his face and said "lets go to State" on that last drive and led that team down the field just as cool as a cucumber to the game winning TD. He had them 2 yards and 2 seconds short of beating WOS that year as well and against the allmighty Lamarque who was heavily favored he was something like 22-26 250+ and even rushed for 75 yards to blow them away. I'd say that qualifies as "Big Time". ok, i played against long, he was good, but dont forget he was throwing to two brothers that were pretty darn good themselves. alot of his completions came from deep balls go and get 'em balls.

i guess you don't watch the same team play on Saturdays as i do? #7 won't tackle. and no, i love wo-s football theyre a great program, just don't want certain players held up on a pedestal just because someone might KNOW them.

since youve seen more football than i have, were you at the wimberly game when beasley did absolutely nothing in crunch time? big time players make big plays in big games. end of story. and i know you never SAID those two were the best youve ever seen, but i just assumed they were since this is the thread for the BEST H.S. Are you serious, deon and dustin, thats the best you've EVER seen? you need to watch more h.s. football gabe, theyre ok but the best...NO SIR. Jay Mcgwire from silsbee was one of the best h.s. athletes ive ever seen play.

I think your post an opinion is good as that is what you believe.  No problem with that.  I just stated my opinion and I want the Mustangs to do well.  My last statement on the situation. 

Contrary to what some might believe Mustang football started in 1977 and has continued to prosper.  I personally thank Steve and Dan the op  portunity to work at Wos.  I chose not to continue after Dan got the job but I enjoyed the competion at the other schools I worked at.  I am on my son's site and my name is Glen Hill.  I just wish people would not openly apply for the OC job when it is not open.  Cornel is a good guy and a great coach as I am sure Toby is but to let this stuff go on with out them calling a stop to it is unbelievable.  We had great athletes when I was there and they continue to have great athletes.  So I ask that you quit bashing who is trying to continue the tradition and pull together as this is the only way we will get another one!!

Yes I am his son and he is not embarrassed by him getting relieved of duties at Silsbee but some differ on how much better they were coached. My dad and uncle both served WOS proudly and they have nothing to be ashamed of. My dad today is good friends with Dan and Cynthia as my sister is their grandchild. Now if you want to try to embarrass my family bring it own. We think you should not go after a person's job unless that job is open. For you as an individual to slam someone at your school for doing what seems to be a good job is unbelievable. The truth of the matter is my dad told Dan that he could not work under the set up he had proposed and said he would be leaving and he did. Now if you want to check with Dan on this feel free to do so because this is what happened. Now if that is being fired he was fired. As for Silsbee he was let go in the middle of the season, but continued to teach there for seven years, now if that is being fired he was fired. Anything else you want to post on this board feel free to do because we have nothing to hide. It would be nice is someone would come forward and stand up for your coaches and quit letting you people belittle them by some of your posts. Now if there is anything else you would like to say about my Dad bring it own.

Didnt make a difference at Palestine and Huntsville did it? But they are both good coaches and contribute dearly to the program and I respect the oc because he has never left and came back. Is this loyalty or what? Why would other guys leave and want to come back! Oh well sometimes you think you can do things you cannot. Some guys are better assistant coaches than Head Coaches. Keep up the good work Dan Ray

What about the dude at Texas High he has won a state championship and has displayed all the things needed to continue the program.

Well you must be a coach on the staff. Maybe if the job comes open he will get an interview, until then I will wait on DRH to give me the facts. I wish him the best of luck.
