Man, which way are you headed. One post you are talking about the coaches. Next you seem to be directing negative thoughts about some of our players. Is saying Hall has more potential than Hussey bad mouthing him. You are right, Hall could sign with Lamar in December and Hussey could beat him out. We are just stating an opinion about Hall and before he signed with Tulsa he even told the Tulsa newspaper that the decision came down to Lamar and Tulsa. So, it isn't like Hall just started thinking about Lamar recently.
what i don't get is how a guy like myself, or take hipster for example. we say one thing and it's garbage, big red, aggies or puddin lame says something and it's like it's spoken straight from the creator?? lol it's funny to read your posts.
 2.
AggiesWeAreNot, don't compare me and Raiders. I've been a Cardinal Club member. My ex-wife was on the Board of Directors for a few years. As for as IQ, if you are having a AMI and come in where I work you better hope my IQ is pretty good. Obviously, you and I have a difference of opinion about offensive football. I'm more of taking what the defense is giving. 8 men in the box throw the ball. 7 men in the box run the ball. Maybe you can say I'm more conservative. As for a championships or league titles, for everyone you mention passing the ball. I have find one that runs the ball well. You mention SFA in one of your post. They have a two time All-SLC and POY QB in Moses. They are a Top 5 team in FCS and I bet you they will not win a national championship because they can't run the ball when they will need to. Once in the playoffs the defenses have guys who can cover. Do I wish they would win? Heck yes, because our loss to them would not look so bad. Now, back to the game with SD. I recall Prewitt and Ford making a great play on 3rd and 10 from our own endzone. Yes, he threw the ball about 20 yards on the play and I believe that was the last play of the 3rd quarter. The rest of the 98 yard drive was with the wind at our backs. I don't think Prewitt could have made the 53 yard pass to Kendrick Prejean on 3rd down against the wind to keep the drive alive. Then Prewitt hits Ford for a 14 yard pass play to win the game. Oh, I forgot to mention the drive SD took the lead was on about a 60 yard drive with 3 straight running plays with them scoring on a 37 yard run by Sims. Then Prewitt lead the Cards to victory on the next drive. Amazing! As for as the Coach Woodard show, what do you expect the man to say?
i love it that ya'll can't keep from talking about me!! lol keep it up i love being a celeb!!
 3.
I actually don't think it will get that ugly. The Alabama starters will probably play 1 or 2 quarters, get up by 30 or 40 and then the 2nd and 3rd teams will come in and add a few more.
jj come on now it got ugly !!! quickly
 4. A great win, fantastic, aqnd any other words to describe the game.  But you people must know they had a second string qb that could not start for us.  Enough said.  LU won and they should win to go out 5-6.  Now we need to get out and get some players from wherever they come from.  Please be no handle state!
 5.
I know what is wrong with raider.  Raider likes to bet on football.  He had Lamar losing by 24.  It looks like you missed that one by a BUNCH. What did you say?  Oh YEAH.. This one get out of hand early.  WRONG AGAIN!!! For someone who KNOWS football you sure are off the mark.  You say that you don't believe in excuses but yet you take the time to cry about them.  As far as your mystery safety goes there wasn't one.  Neither ref signaled for one.  The angle that was shown on tv was from in front of the goal line.  And even with that angle the ball made it out of the end zone.  You also talk about people not having a life.  This is coming from someone who said they have "better" games to watch.  Yet you sat and watched the whole game of a team you don't even like.  NEXT item you say to bring facts to say why it was a good game.  Yet when they lose your only statement is they quit.  I guess they didn' quit today.  Was Lamars game perfect?  No.  But you don't see many percect games in football.  For someone who "KNOWS" you should know that.  And in the end all that matters is that you did more right than the team that lined up across from you. Well I just hope didn't lose your rent on this game.  Ok, to be honest maybe a little part of me does.
i'm not here to argue or get in a war of words with anyone. i apologize if i offended anyone. yeah you're right, i had the other way. (it was LU -16 by the way, not -24). not like i'm jumping off any bridges, but i had intrest. why does that matter? you ever heard of a prev ch. button?  i saw enough or lack there of. trust me.  was i wrong on my prediction? yes i was, was it the first time in my life no.  oh, i guess i'm the only one on this thread that saw the dropped td pass? LOL or the safety that wasn't called?  yes it's always good to get the W. but if you really want to go there about perfect, you can just watch the game again. tell me anything that was decent. congrats to the cards, go big red!!!! but they weren't called, i get that!! doesn't mean you can dodge the truth as of the correct call though. if it went the other way for s. dak that's all you would read on here. JMO
 6.
Who won this game? Oh, LU. Doesn't matter if you win by an inch or a mile.. A W is a W. No one will look back at this season if the Cards go .500 and go "Yeah man, they were .500, but they had a couple calls go there was against SD." WHO CARES. They won, quit coming on here and talking down because they didn't lose like you thought they would.
that's where you're missing the point of a forum. this is where people who "know" what's up come to talk about the good, and the not so good. without all the bs. but if you want to be the guy who opens up the paper the next morning and say, "well damn, lamar won" and just have an imagination of what really happened, then that's fine, but don't get on a forum thread talking about, "oh, a W is a W" that's weak. and you bring nothing to this discussion at all. so stay off the thread if you can't even accept the facts for what they really are. no one is talking about support??? HELLO?
 7. after the scoring drive to start the game, lamar didn't get another first down until halfway thru the 3rd qtr. that says it all for how well they played as a whole. end of story. oh, and puddin lame, i feel for you having to sit thru that. LOL

Doug was on point all night. And beautiful catches from Hayes, Jackson, Ford, and Prejean!! Defense was great against the pass and horrible versus the run but got it done. And believe it or not there was a sighting of a Lamar kicking game! (No punting game however..)
we had a good 1st and 4th qtr offensively..D played ok..  (sd had a huge line)....first drive was awesome..we had outs and slants and quick hitters..then we reverted back to only the outs and things got stale for a while... wr play was awesome! Awesome game, wish people woulda showed up!   Little cold front, put it on TV...recipe for a poor turnout whoo hoo...that was fun GO BIG RED
how can you say the first qtr was good? because LU scored? after that botched td call that gave LU pts they went 6 straight drives w/o a first down. so please explain?
you bore me
well if you watched the game it did too!!
 9.
They won........give it a rest Raiders!!!!!  Nobody and I mean nobody thought that LU would have a chance to be .500 the first year back!!!  With a win next week it will happen!!! You sure have sour grapes about LU, what is your beef with the football program???  Did you try out and not make it or something???
lol, no, i just want to know some reasoning behind some of these comments. it's great for lu, but to act like they played well is just inaccurate. i mean, did you all watch the game or not? 28 rushes for 17 yds LOL come on.
great job???? all around??? i knew this is what i'd read the first 5 sec on the site !!! lol, the game was not as interesting as a j.v. football game would've been. i guess no one saw the horrific bad td call that wasn't to open up the scoring for LU???(good thing for no replay ) or the even worse no call on the safety that was just a bad call at best.... but i'm not one for excuses as you know from previous posts, but LU fans need to realize those were two game changing calls that weren't called in favor of LU. (plus the starting qb going out in the first series with an injured leg helped too).JMO
 12. Vegas has the opening line at LU +11 with the O/U set at 44.

I agree there is plenty of room for improvement but already questioning the coaching...are you serious??? You can have the best of players but until you play some games....you do not know if you have a team. Give the coach a couple of seasons before you start your conspiracy theories.
Can you post proof of anyone saying LU would dominate in football this year?
no he cannot, hence the only 3 posts he's made. (including that rediculous one)
i guess you missed my post where i clearly stated that So. Ala. was a 2nd yr program.
Sure did, my mistake.  But I don't think the coaching staff is over their heads or they would be losing to the non D1 teams and getting embarrassed every game.  The SFA and SHSU games were the only ones that Lamar clearly were out matched.
sfa yes, but sam started a true freshman QB and i think a true freshman RB (flanders) so how outmatched was that? LU started a redshirt jr QB and a Jr at RB (logan). so at the skill positions, LU should have had the edge.

 17.
Lamar has already won more games than most people had expected for a first year program. They have been in every game except two. I'm sure Coach W will make adjustments at the end of the year both with players and possibly coaches but I believe it is way to early to be questioning the coaches in their first season. If we are receiving the same results in the 3rd or 4th season....then we have a problem. They are making some positive steps forward with the defense and the offense showed some ball control against Georgia State although they lost. Georgia State and South Alabama both had several seniors playing this year and Lamar has one or two on the roster. I will be willing to bet that we will have different outcomes next year. Looking forward to the next two home games.
What team are you talking about? "LU has been in every game but 2"?? I'm looking down the schedule and they haven't been close in 4 of their games. (SFA, Sam Hou St., So. Ala., and No. Dakota.) And IMO won't be close this weekend either. So if my math is correct that would be 5. LU did make improvements this week vs Geo. St. but did still lose to a first yr program.
 18. S.Dakota 34-10. This game will get out of hand in a hurry.
 19.
There doing good man, it's there first yr back, it doesn't happen overnight it takes years to build a program. They have had a good yr, I mean they are outmatched rightnow on the o-line and d-line against other teams it just takes time to get the recruits u need and etc and they know now what they need, all in all this yr is a stepforward for the lamar football program.
LU has played against Geo. St. another first year program this year and lost. They also played S. Ala. that is in it's 2nd yr as a program and lost. So that quote might be a little misleading considering you said they are outmatched and that they didn't have the time to get the recruits they needed. I'm not sure exactly what that means since they had the same amount of time as those teams to put a squad together. So i'm leaning towards hipsters question that the coaching staff IS IN OVER THEIR HEADS.
 20.
Prewitt played a nice game for his first start in college, on the road, in a professional stadium like the Georgia Dome. I only remember two plays that were bad decisions IMO with one being the interception he threw. I think as a fresham his play deserves another start next week versus South Dakota. I think he really matured as the game went along. Defense played good enough to win but the special teams are killing us. A blocked punt, missed FG within 40 yards and a pooch kick that was miss handled by a Lamar player and should have been a turnover. We got a lucky break there. Offensively, we have played 9 games and we've yet to make a rushing TD. We had 84 yards rushing on 29 attempts and averaged less than 3.0 yards per carry. Then we fumbled at least three times but were lucky enough to recovery them. Especially, the Logan fumble inside our own 20 yard line.
well i sure hope Woodard gives him the start, if not it would be a joke.

I still think Lamar comes up short. Something like GSU winning 21-17.
Raiders99LHS80, can I get some karma from you since I pretty much nailed the score?  ;D Wasn't the final score 23-17?
yeah, you were dead on.
