The Real Black and Gold

This isn't the order i think that they will finish. this is how i see their seasons heading into the summer... alot could change

Central - They lost alot, including the coaching staff. It's hard to believe that it could happen for them this year. Don't expect another deep playoff run during a rebuilding year.

Nederland - I think this will be another year where they will disappoint their fans. they arlready have the expectations but i think that there will be too much competion and they will suffer some surprise losses.

Ozen - They always have the talent. they are always just missing something. if this new coach pulls all of the pieces together than they could be special but i don't see it happening.

Vidor -They are starting to get a swagger and believe that they are winners. they still have alot to prove and they will. it is alot like lumberton where coach creuder got his kids to believe in the system. Matthews has done the same thing in vidor.

Lumberton - The kids there know what it takes to win. even last year no one expected greatness from them because they lost so many seniors, but give them credit. they brought a swagger to lumberton an they believe that they can win now.

PNG - This is their first year to run a new offense. i don't see playoffs for them but i do see a few wins that can derail a few teams playoff runs, but only if they can but into their new coaches system.

Livingston - They are not getting enough credit, they run their offense good and they have a swagger. It will be interesting to see how they deal with the loss of harris

LCM - They need to learn to win first before they have any real success, thye have enough young players that if they can learn to win a few hey will be hungry for more.

Vidor's defense will be potent

Personally, I like the defense that doesn't give up a single point in every game. ;D

Mike I like any defense that will shut down Michigan 

you could find that defense on a little league practice field, along with the players that could do it.

Vidor is losing chris teinert but we are getting a good kid from the JV team.

He's quick (by Vidor's standards anyways) and has a good arm.

Vidor by far... unless you were including west orange stark...

i met Jacoby hale at an FCA camp and he is a man child...

Second year under the new offense.  Should be a lot more wrinkles and tweeks.  Looking forward to our Offense being more potent.

Predictions?

I think Vidor COULD do a great job against Livingston. I personally think that they should play Reynolds more. He is a harder runner than Pitman, although Pitman has the speed, Reynolds has the size to get through and get some good yards, he just runs players over, doesn't let anything get in his way. The coaches are holding him back by starting Pitman in front of him.

No they moved pit to fullback after some injuries in the rotation

Reynolds problem is that he puts the ball on the ground. He played alot in livingston though and on one play just straight up ran #1 over for a good 12 yards

somebody predicted 49-45 ???? no way vidor throws maybe 4 plays a game they are just gonna chip away at the clock with short run plays Vidor 24-17

lumbeton is good but they aint that good we thrashed them the second half and there is no way nederland is gonna post up 49 points on us.... they wont beat us.... vidor will take nederland then nederland will take lumberton

The only way that Hannah causes problems for the jags is if the O-Line gives him some gaping holes

he wont outrun centrals D to the side line and centrals front 7 are pretty good...

The kid is a hard runner but this is a team that already had to deal with trying to stop Christine Michaels

hannah is good but he is no CM 

the guy ran extremely hard all night and never quit

really i can't say for sure but when i played i did some dumb stuff to get my players pumped up...

he was running all over us and having a great game...

just got a little excited...

But you can't call him a bad kid much less a bad football player...

i think he will easily make all district and good luck to him and lumberton...

coach creuder is a good coach and i promise this kid wont have this problem anymore...

well in that case it should be the BISDGOTW...

i'm just wondering where a few of the fans are who it seems are in quite some denial...

i think central wins district...

they are playing together and their talent is just about unmatched...

they are tough to beat...

i think it will be a good game between them and lumberton but i say central comes out on top, nederland falls, and central gains sole possession,

again they should be tough to beat...

if they are beaten somewhere along the road then the race for the top is WIDE OPEN!!!

You could tell that the players on both teams have some deep respect for each other...

both teams are very well coached...

surprised to see that vidor could hang with centrals athleticism...

best game i've seen in quite some time...

Central was giving the game away. Vidor will make the playoffs, whos spot will they take? 

not trying to be critical, but were you there??

because central din not give that game away in no way whatsoever

the missed 25 yard field goal that hit the scoreboard was imo the deciding factor in the game

not tryin to put the kicker down, buy he shanked it terribly

i also was completely disgusted by the option call on 3rd and goal from the 11 (which set up the missed field goal)

you DO NOT try to run option on central, too much team speed on the defensive side over there

and to add to that, it wasn't even a power option, it was speed option.....

i just don't see why refs can't officiate games smoothly and fairly for both teams in every game, its such a simple philosophy... you see a penalty, you call it, if you don't see a penalty, don't make something up...

for instance on the first onside... we were called for an offsides penalty... none of our guys were even near being offsides... and the ref threw the flag AFTER we recovered it...

i am in no way blaming this on the officials.. i just think it could have been called more fairly

Cut the kid some slack... he missed it by a foot the angle he was at was what made it hit the scoreboard...

all in all the kid is just a sophomore and will make some big kicks later this year and in his career as he settles into the job... the thing is he didint hang his head and he came out and placed 2 beautiful onside kicks... he's not a quitter i'll give him that..

all central has to do is put the ball in the air on this team cause its their weakness..........vidor is slow very slow..........if the jags do that they'll win by a 100

Bottom line is Vidor wants to be the next Lumberton '07... Sorry it wont happen!!!! ;D 

The "Bottom Line" on this Central vs. Vidor spread is about Central and Vidor.

Don't come in here and even mention lumberton...

stay on your own spreads and relive the glory days of last year and we are going to play football and make everyone in this town forget about that L-Train
