it isnt a bold prediction to say that vidor will lose, they havent done anything else in 30 years. it is a bold prediction to say that vidor (if they work their buts off and beat some of the best programs in southeast texas) could win a district championship for the first time in 30 years

I think that a district championship is as possible for vidor as any other team out there.

they dont often feel like they have this chance

face it people, vidor is GOOD and has a chance to be GREAT.

dont say they arent good until they have proved themselves that they arent worthy of any high praise

the running back for wo-s was number #43 and i don't know his name but he was very quick and surprisingly strong for such a small guy...

back on the subject of vidor and west orange...

In biased my opinion, i think that vidor will come out hard in the first quarter and play just as hard in the 4th.

West orange doesn't block anyone really and the scrimmage between them and dayton was won on a play where the right tackle scooped up the ball and ran it in...

i haven't been impressed with west orange lately and they are a team that vidor could end up managing quite easily...

and vidor has some big old boys on the o and d lines...

this will not be a cake walk for west orange by any means

This isn't the order i think that they will finish. this is how i see their seasons heading into the summer... alot could change

Central - They lost alot, including the coaching staff. It's hard to believe that it could happen for them this year. Don't expect another deep playoff run during a rebuilding year.

Nederland - I think this will be another year where they will disappoint their fans. they arlready have the expectations but i think that there will be too much competion and they will suffer some surprise losses.

Ozen - They always have the talent. they are always just missing something. if this new coach pulls all of the pieces together than they could be special but i don't see it happening.

Vidor -They are starting to get a swagger and believe that they are winners. they still have alot to prove and they will. it is alot like lumberton where coach creuder got his kids to believe in the system. Matthews has done the same thing in vidor.

Lumberton - The kids there know what it takes to win. even last year no one expected greatness from them because they lost so many seniors, but give them credit. they brought a swagger to lumberton an they believe that they can win now.

PNG - This is their first year to run a new offense. i don't see playoffs for them but i do see a few wins that can derail a few teams playoff runs, but only if they can but into their new coaches system.

Livingston - They are not getting enough credit, they run their offense good and they have a swagger. It will be interesting to see how they deal with the loss of harris

LCM - They need to learn to win first before they have any real success, thye have enough young players that if they can learn to win a few hey will be hungry for more.

So, since we (Central)  have a coaching change, we all of a sudden are in a rebuilding year?  Stop being ridiculous.  We won district with a new coach in 2005.

I wouldn't venture to say that i'm being ridiculous... but central lost alot of talent and some dang good coaching.

Lumberton got the win, so any small victory that anyone is trying to gain by claiming that lcm had almost 250 yards passing... congratulations... they lost.

Great Defenses WIN GAMES because they hold their opponents to a fewer amount of points than their offense scores.

trust me lumberton could have given up 251 passing yards but i probably would't have won them the game...

The best defense in 2009 will be the team that doesn't give up any L's

L-Town has Beard for one more year, look for them to stifle many offenses.

They don't time your 10 at the NFL combine and then multiply it by four.

The beat way to do it is with 40 yards and a stop watch.

But i garuntee you that Usain Bolt is alot faster than any 15 year old out there running 4.3's

I'm not knocking him, it's just hard to believe. Did he power lift? If so he must of been the state champ. You don't throw 225 up that many times and not bench around 350 or over. Where's he playing college ball at? Keep up the gogood work, I would like to know the state record for reps with 225.

I witnessed him myself lift 225 a total of 29 times, for Mr HD shetlin steroids and scalpem we will film and place on you tube and this site.  Did not power lift this year but went to state last year.  Stelly can rep 315 total of 11 times as of now benching 400+.  So don't be a hater of local athletes.  It's nice when anyone from Southeast TX has a shot to play some college ball.  Go NSU   RIVERHAWKS!!!!!
