I was worried about the jump from Hull-Daisetta to The Woodlands. But it is great. You have more time to focus on the kids and coaching because you do not have to do a lot of the extra work that you did in 1A. But it is good to have that work ethic from the 1A level though. No job they can give you that you have not done before. But The Woodlands might be a little different that Sam Houston. Should still be a little easier and have a lot bigger budget to work with. That is nice.

Like the white helmets of hardin. Anahuac's new helmet is a whole lot meaner looking. Barbay has always liked the black helmet. Looks 100% better.

School boards serve a school well for the most part. Would not abolish it just make a few changes. Just my opinion and do not know if it would work but school board members should have an idea of what goes on in a school. Retired teachers and administrators. Maybe have one outstanding member of the community with higher education(Doctors, Lawyers, etc). And one current teacher to speak for the teachers. If you are related to a student or teacher at the school then you cannot be on the board. Education is the goal and seems like the people making decisions for a school should be educated also. At least have to have a college degree to be on the board. Like I said, just my opinion. Let's see how it gets picked apart.

Fayetteville beat Evadale 8-1 to take game two and advance in the playoffs. Congratulations on a great season Rebels.

Was at the game and it was a blowout in the beginning with Normangee putting on a hitting clinic. It was 10-0 going into the bottom of 3. Then HD shook the nerves off and their bats came alive scoring 10 runs in the bottom of the third. Normangee would go up 14-10, then HD made it 14-12, Normangee would score another in the 6th making it 15-12 and HD would score three in the 6th tying it up. Normangee scored 2 in the 7th and HD got the bases loaded with 1 out and hit one to the pitcher and had a strike out. Great game to watch. On a side note Garth Roth hit a homerun that bounced off the sign in left field back on to the field and was not given credit for it. Umpires said it hit the yellow stripe on top of the fence and was not a homerun. ???? Anthony Walker made one of the best plays of the season by diving for a ball to his right and getting to one knee and throwing a perfect one hop throw to first for the out. Congrats to HD and making a good showing for the schools first post season baseball game.

Been strapping it on all week here in the Woodlands. Great weather for spring football.

Guess I will go watch this one after football practice.

The game will be in the Woodlands. It will be the first game played in Woodforest Stadium the new home field for The Woodlands, College Park, and Oak Ridge.

Good post tvc. You are right. A coach can kick off whoever he wants with a good reason. And a good reason would be lack of discipline. If the kids were told not to go and they go, that is a lack of discipline and is not needed on the team. Now everyone is whining about its unfairness and holding the coach responsible. All of these people want to back the players and put heat on the coach. The players broke a rule. They should be punished by what ever is deemed by the coach. But you want to punish the coach. So now you have two undisciplined kids that think they are above the law. I sure hope if he let them on the team they will just sit the bench for the rest of the year. You do not want that cancer spreading to the rest of the team. Next the coach will tell them not to miss practice!

Since there are no girls games, anyone know what time this game will be? I know Foster usually likes to play later so the parents and fans can make the game. Catman or Coach Henry could you post the game time? Shermdog if you find out post it for me, see you at the game.

Thought Lufkin could be a lot more dangerous if the QB would run more often. Seemed to have open field and force throws anyway.

when Lane was there for his senior year? 35-28 that year. This past year Lufkin by three. This year was the down year at the Woodlands. Actually did better against the spread than the I formation, where we give up the most points. Katy, Westfield.

Where does PAM play Nimitz and Westbury. If both are at home then I will have a couple of long scouting trips.

Two years ago while HD was playing Normangee in the playoffs we had a layup broken up and Trae Smith ended up on his back against the wall. I asked the ref from the houston chapter why wasn't that a foul he said "that was 90% ball and 10% body you ain't going to get that call here". I said I would hate to see 90% body and 10% ball. Houston chapter usually lets them play a little rough IMO.

Newton will win this one.
