I hardly call it a spanking.  It was a very intense game...but Humble ended up making the shots it needed to make, and the brook just missed their free throws.

Humble now shares the District Championship with Kingwood.

First place seed will be decided by coin flip.

Congrats to Westbrook on a great year, and No. 23....a HOSS.

Channelview has some guys with good stats.

Its not that their a bad team, its just they dont have the Talent depth that the other schools have... They carry around 35-45 players on the roster, much like WB and Humble do this year... BUT, instead of having 22 different starters...they have about 8 guys going both ways.  Its going to take a toll on you by games end... Thats why they wont be able to beat West Brook, they are far to talented...and have the advantage because they have 1 guy to each position for the most part.

Channelview will have its best shot at beating Westbrook in the 1st half, after that...its not going to happen.  They are a much better team then PAM, but they were to tired to keep the huge lead they had on them in the 4th...  with Lee getting all beat up, it was easier for them to take advantage of them. 

Good report HUM398.  Was going to tell you that last night was a great game between the two teams that are and should be the leaders in this district.  As otherrs have said--where were your fans--the television coverage scanned the stands on the Humble side and made it look like a small 2A crowd playing in Kyle field.  Those kids are good atheletes and they deserve support. 

Anyway, you guys should be able to finish things off next week.  Thanks for joining in.

Now back to the topic--I am getting more support from a Humble (w/pun2.0) poster than the Bruin fans.  Get out of the closet my fellow cock-roaches (in honor of PATITAN). Were going to channelview to do some ant-killin.

Humble has been split and Atascocita parents and friends have switched to support their team now.  Our Program and community is in a rebuilding stage, and are on a mission to get all the new neighborhoods caught up in our Tradition...its going to be 2 more years before we travel well again..  After the Kingwood game, we haven't had many fans show up to the game... Humble High school didnt do a good job pumping this game up...

I remember a time when Humble traveled almost as well as Katy and Lufkin...But when you split, its hurts.  Luckily our Football program has been very successful this fall our overall record is 38-6 after a split... thats pretty good.  Humble will be stronger then before after our Program numbers increase to pre-split form.

lee is playing Atascocita next week if that helps you figure it out ;D

Atascocita can beat this Lee team with all the injuries...so it doesnt help figure out anything

Westbrook should win this one fairly easy, but channelveiw is a very feisty team with alot of fire power.  BUT, they get worn down by physicality.

WB scores 38+ points on them, but Channelview won't go down easy....Stuff their run...and they shouldnt do to much. (they need the run to open their passing play...Hinton is a key to their offense)

I really didnt get a good look at them, it was a very rainy night and Humble was on the field most of the night slipping and sliding on their horrific field. (Ant piles from the looks of it) ..

Humble wins this one with ease. The D is the toughest in the district. These hard hitters will knock out any hope of PAM going further. I'm WB 1st but, I want PAM to do well every game with the exception to the Brook game. I don't understand the Titans. They should be right in the hunt. 

I agree, their really is no reason why they are doing so poorly with that much talent...  But really, it all comes down to scheme and coaching...

WB wasnt all that slow either..haha.  Both teams have excellent team speed...WB should make alot of noise in the playoffs.

I really hope WB doesn't bring this game to Houston for the play offfs because it would be a short trip for them... These guys are much better than they played tonight, slightly lethargic.  If it wasn't for a few called back big plays for Humble, the Brook would have been sweating and maybe would have lost.  Humble came to play and Micheals was kept in check all night...  The district's two best teams have enough D to make some noise but both need to play a more mistake free game.

I think you have to give Humble's D credit for holding the WB offense in check all night, had we played better in the middle of the field (Secondary) the game could of easily ended 7-6 WB.

Humble's offense played horrible ball control all night, we fumbled so many times...We just looked, bad in the second half.  We played pretty well in the first half, with some pretty big passes...and of course our QB (who has really come along).

We'll be looking to redeem ourselves in the offensive department against PAM.

Maybe they were expecting to get beat badly, and didnt' want to take the long trip to Beaumont.  I dont' know, but I would think that they would follow this team.  Those kids were awesome on D.  They should be proud of this team.

No..that wasn't it.  we just dont have a lot of fans now that Atascocita opened.  Alot kids go to the games, and get involved at home games...but away games are for those willing to drive far distances with gas at 2.80 a gallon. 

What is up with the Humble fans?  Great team, championship game, and it looked like they had a couple of hundred fans ???  Is that the way they always travel?

The split hurt our numbers in the fan department...also, alot of kids go to the game and fill the stands... But of course they cant make the drive. 

I was a little disappointed, but like i said... Atascocita has alot of our fans rooting for the other team now.  But the booster club is working on getting all the new neighborhoods into our tradition of winning program.

It was a hard hitting game! Humble has the best D seen all year by Brook. Hope the QB for Humble is OK. Any word? That dude can run! I think it was good for both teams to get this kind of game in just before playoffs!!

He is ok.  He was running up and down the sidelines, but the trainer wouldn't clear him to play in the last 3 minutes..It was pretty much over when he was knocked out of the game. 

You're right, its good we got this game in.  PO like... I think Both will be ready to hit someone in the mouth come PO time.

It was a good game, like i expected... And like i said, we weren't going to come in and die and let WB score their usual... We aren't the rest of the district.  The game could of gone either way, but West Brook got the breaks and executed better offensively when it was all said and done.  They deserved the win, and congrats.

It was a hard fought game, with lots of hard hits...and lots of big plays.  It was entertaining.

What Critics?  no one said anything about west brook...and everything about Humble.  No one is expecting Humble to win this game.  id go as far as to say that, 90% of the Southeast Texas (Houston included) thinks WB is going to win this game. ...

If anything, Humble will prove the critics wrong.  Humble is the underdog in this match up...and rightfully so.  We are far less impressive then our WB counterparts on the offensive side of the ball.

Katy ??? Take care of Humble first! Then we'll see. It is fun to look at the what ifs. One week at a time now.....

again.  i was only using it as an example.  Im sure both Humble and West Brook are looking only to this game... Both teams want the district title badly..  Im hoping we have a good game, and that our stout D will come out and set a tone for a battle...

With all due respect to every poster for and against WB, why are we talking so much about Katy? HUM398 is stirring the pot a little but who's to say WB and Katy will meet. Lets encourage the players to take care of Humble and district first. If WB plays a perfect game, well then anything is possible.

I'm not intending to stir the pot, merely using an example... in Katy. 

The most talented teams dont always win. and Westbrook in the playoffs probably won't face a team as talented as they are all the way through.  Katy has some nice talent, but the athletic level is no where near West brook's.

Katy is the No. 1 5A team in the state and rightfully so, but there are some chinks in that armor.  Cinco Ranch had some big plays in the running game and Hastings had some big plays in the passing game.  Katy has yet to face a team that does both well.  West Brook does both very well.  Im not saying that we would beat Katy easily, but I am saying that we would be a very formidable opponent for the Tigers.

You cant compare what you have seen during the season to what Katy does in the playoffs.  any one that has ever followed Katy knows that they use the season pratically to get warmed up for the playoffs... In playoff form, Westbrook scores no more then 14 on Katy...far to undisiplined to seriously match up with a program that is scores better then pretty much every team in Houston...Especially with so many returning starters from a regional final team.

Every week I look at WB games and think, " man, we aren't that good.  Too many penalties, Too many passing yards, etc."  Then I look at the final score and we won by two or three touchdowns.  I just don't know what to think about this team.  They could go two and out or they could go a long ways.  i think they have that kind of talent.  Should handle Humble easily.  WB  35  Humble  14

It isnt about the talent your bearing, its the discipline you show.  Will WB be able to beat Katy... The Answer is...No, not at this point.  WB makes far to many mistakes and penalties, and against good defenses and offensive units you cant do that.  Katy will take those mistakes, capitalize...and win..by a large margin.  West brook has always had great athletes, the problem lies in the discipline level...overall, individual player execution.  The playoff is a different animal all together... You wont be playing teams 2 rounds in that are awful, no...you'll be playing teams that most likely can either handle the athletic talent that Westbrook brings.

Im not trying to talk down, or be annoying...its just an unbiased opinion.

Hum398 I have to agree that Humble will bring their best to this game.I think it will be closer than alot of the Brook fans think. Brook wins this one though Humble put up a tremendous fight.

well, you've got Sterling next week, who you'll probably beat......but then you've got Humble. They're gonna be pissed after getting beat by WB the week before, so they'll prolly be playing with a sense of urgency to go into the playoffs on a winning note. I doubt PAM will beat the Wildcats. So, no you're prolly not in!

Shame on you scooter, you know better then that.  When does humble ever lose by 21 points when a district title is on the line?  Especially a team that expects us to come and die right there on their field?

I think you should be more concerned with your titans and the likely hood which is at about 90% that they will totally miss the playoffs.  Unless you can beat Humble by more then 3pts....and assuming that you can beat Sterling...Which as of late...im not so sure of. 

Good luck either way to both teams.  and im hoping for a close won...because those are just way more fun to watch.

By the way, who knows what the freshman record for the Bruins is?

Ill give yall this, You're rightfully the better team going into the game.  Avg. about 38 points a game...and allowing only 17.  Its impressive.  and you should be the favorites because its at your house.

But like another poster said, we are going to be ready to play. 

i hope its a clean game, because its going to be aggressive.
