1. Isnt it ironic that PN-G started out 0-2 in district the past two years and made the play-offs and this year will probably start out 2-0 in district and not make the play-offs.

Maybe next year.
Im not sure what you mean... the season started a month ago.  We have already played 3 games.  You must not have been following.  Do I need to bring you up to speed with what has happened so far???  Now if you are calling District play the "season", I understand, but are you really expecting anything that much different than what we have seen so far?  If you are, I would love to hear some insight as to why you believe that.  I would love some silver lining right now!
To be honest... yes... I am expecting improvement. Changes are made before district starts, positions changed, adjustments made. Some of these players have never even played Varsity before...takes some getting use to. Thats what preseason is for. Some teams will be in a whole different place come mid season.
So, you must be referring to ya's QB change???  I hope that works out for you, havent heard anything like that over here though, so more of the same for us I guess.  The goal of every team is to get better each week, have you seen that so far?  I havent.
I believe he is referring to your over/under on Lumberton being someone's homecoming opponent. Those schedules were determined before the season started. Anyone could have figured out the over/under on that by simply looking at the schedules. It is 1 total, far from the 2.5 and your predicted 3. ;) ::) You are obviously wrong on that prediction.
Awwww, ok.  I missed that one entirely... I have seen similar post in other threads about the season not being started, so I just assumed she was making that same reference here.  Either way, that was more meant to be a joke than anything.

 5. Its that time of the year again!!!!  20-4A district play is a week away and now with nearly 1/3 of the season behind us, time to look ahead.  So, here we go! We will start with low expectations and work up...okay begin: Lumberton - O/U we score 30 points all season long.  Right now we currently have 8 points through 3 games.  With the meat of the schedule still to go through, I am taking the Under in this one.  I am even factoring that we will most likely be playing the 2's and 3's  in the 2nd half. Staying in Lumberton: O/U 2.5 times Lumberton will be the Homecoming opponent.  Lumberton has 4 district road games this year.  I am taking the Over on this one, I believe PN-G, Vidor and LC-M will host Lumberton as their Homecoming opponent. Moving to Mid-County: PN-G - O/U 2 district wins this year - We know they wil beat Lumberton and look good doing it.  They will probably beat LC-M the following week, so it will be a long two weeks of "We turned things around!", "We will probably go three rounds deep!" and "Coach Faircloth is a God and I am his loyal servant". Then they will travel to Bmt and their world comes crashing back down.  I am going with a push on this one. Nederland - O/U 1 district loss this year - The force is strong with this one.  Only 1 Tough road game @ Vidor, there is MCM and then their at home against the other contenders.  This could easily be a push, but I will take the under.  Their team is nasty on defense and I love defense! Traveling to B.F.E.: Livingston - O/U 2 hours to get there without stopping and eating - 4 district home games this year, which means SETX will be doing some late year traveling.  Construction Work and speed traps have really made this trip even that more enjoyable (especially with small kids)!!!  I am going over on this one! Coming back home: Vidor - O/U 3rd place finish in district - They get Nederland at home but have to go to the "Butch" twice in three weeks.  I believe they are going to lose 2 of those three games.  This will be a push but they will go 1st in the small school division. Speaking of "Butch": Ozen - O/U 100 people leave the stands to get concessions at half time - There is only one game all year that I can dont have to wait in line at the concession stand at half time and that is when we play the Ozen Panthers.  Most entertaining half time performances bar none.  Imagine 10,000 people at a football game, now imagine 10,000 people dancing on bleachers!  All I hear in my mind is Mystical: OOOHHHH It aint my Fault!  Did I do that? It aint my fault!! Thats it for now... be sure to reply back with your Over/Unders.  Most of us (well half, it used to be most) only have 7 more weeks of football to enjoy!
 6.
Growing up Nederland was black and yellow and Vidor wore black and gold. So who are the real uniform thieves?? lol
Know your history...lol
 7. A wise man once said that imitation is the highest form of flattery, so Nederland should feel real good about themselves as they head into next fridays match-up against the Pirates.  Not just because of the well known fact that Vidor stole their uniform scheme, but becuase of the other well known fact, they have a very good football team.  Vidor, doing their best Nederland impersonation, is also putting a good football team out on the field.  If Angleton prooved anything last friday, it's that you dont have to be multi-dimensional to have success against Nederland's Defense.  That is a good thing for Vidor, but the Pirates must ask themselves, Do we have the same type of athletes that Angelton has?  My guess is no, The original Black and Gold win this one going away... 28-14.  Throw your V's up... for victory that is.  P.S. - Just for fun.... enjoy  ]
Full disclosure:  GBB wears his Nederland visor proudly and has all but abandoned poor L-town...
LMAO...  C'mon Man!!  They dont know me like that.
 9.
Some of these remarks are just down right cruel. It's not very sportsmanlike to kick a someone when they are down and that applies here. These are still kids we are talking about.[S] I am the biggest PNG hater of them all. I'm not one of those MC fans that will pull for PNG as long we aren't playing them. I hate everything about PNG and I don't mind admitting that[/s]. That being said, I am not going to bash any team when they've had a rough start and have enough problems to worry about. I'm taking PNG by as much as they want.
FIFY
 10. Okay. I will try one more time...if this is out of line too then I give up... ;) You sure do have alot of pictures of this: [img][Hidden Content]] and this: [img][Hidden Content]] You know those two legs got a workout that night!
 11. I appreciate the response.  If the OP doesnt want their pictures to be used, then maybe they should reconsider posting their pictures to public websites.  Oh well, so much for having a little fun.  If you cant laugh at yourself who can you laugh at?
 12. I understand why one pic was removed, but I dont understand why the other ones were removed?  Can a mod explain please?

You ran into a very good football team last night.
They don't have to ride themselves too hard SCDAWGS, I will. Tired of people disrespecting this team because they don't know about us. What you know about don't speak down on. "Summers eve ,Summer Ditch Puppies" really. You cats done turned it up a WHOLE nother level! Hey SCDAWGS, remember when these boys were 6 and 7 yr olds, we said that were state bound! WHO'S NEXT?!?!?!?!?!?!
Nederland will do their part, you just make sure you do your part and we will see who the better Bulldogs are.
 15.
I dont know biaplayer, it looks to me like our Indians took a step backwards. Tackling was poor, at best last night; although SC has some big, strong, FAST running backs. Walker looked more comfortable at QB, but his passes were bouncing off receivers hands all night. The whole team looked sluggish and flat-footed. Not what we are used to seeing in a Faircloth coached team. Saying all that, you have to hand it to Summer Creek; big, fast and athletic. Fortunately, we wont see a team of this caliber in district play. The boys in 19-4A better get ready for these guys. I'm not giving up on the Indians either. We have a couple weeks to get ready to face a struggling Lumberton team.
Nederland disagrees with that statement.

My prediction was a 32-31 Angleton win.
If it weren't for the last second 40 yd TD on 4th down, you would have nailed it! Angleton coaches were mad that he scored, bc it actually gave Ned :30 to try to tie up the game.
Um...no they weren't.
Two of the coaches wanted him to go down so the clock would not run out. Maybe you didn't see them react, but it happened.
This is true.... they were yelling for him to slide after he got the first.
 17. Honestly Silsbee fans, this is one of those games where you are going to look back on at the end of the season and say to yourself "How did we lose to that team???".
 18.
Looks like I was pretty much the first one here. If anyone wants to head over here and say what's up i'm the big guy with the pirates shirt on about half way up on the 50. Gooooo dogs!!!!!!!!
Save me a seat for 4
 19. The good news is we have seen their offense a couple of weeks ago... The bad news is they are faster than the team that was running it.  Nederland has to play mistake free football to have a chance.  No blown assignments, no missed tackles and no penalties.  Offense is going to have to step up.  I thought field position played a big part in the MCM, we are going to need that again this week.  As long as we make them play on a long field and the defense doesnt give up big plays, Nederland Can win.  It also helps to score more points than they do...lol.
 20.
Just wondering if someone from across the tracks could shed some light on what I saw last night. At least half of the stands emptied after PNG got stopped on 4th down. I have never seen PNG fans scurry out of a stadium like that. There were still about two minutes left and all I ever hear about is png pride and how they never leave a game early no matter what. Have fans been doing this all season?
PNG are a very gracious host.  Invite us to come into their stadium, get a victory and all they asked was for us to turn off the lights when we left.  Great people over there!!!
 21. LMAO @ NDNWarrior!!!!!  Whoop and hollering on page 8 and quiet as a church mouse since...LOL!!!  Thats why I love coming to this board, always makes me laugh.  That was a good game tonight.  Probably shouldnt have been as close as it was, but its a rivalry and thats what usually happens.  PNG can bounce back.  Reminds me alot like last year.  Good luck to both teams the rest of the way and thanks for making me proud to live in the mid-county community!
 22.
At this point, ANY of the 16 teams can win state. Takes a lot of good and a lot of luck to bring home the trophy. Nederland has been the underdog most of the yr. They've surprised (just about) everyone! The most talented team does not always win! *See Duke Nat'l Champs over UNLV in 1991?*
I agree wth everything except the asterisk.  That Duke team played in 3 straight National Championship games including back-to-back titles in 91 and 92.  I will concede that everyone expected UNLV to win after what the did to Duke in the 90 national championship, but I cant concede that Duke wasnt just as talented as UNLV was when they met in the final four in 91.
