1. I personally like the natural grass. I do think the schools need to be upgraded along with the stadium but I would keep the grass.
2. Yep. Plus it was raining but let's just all admit all fans are the same.
3. I remember a few years back posting a photo at MCM that showed an empty Port Neches stands at the start of the 4th in the reservation. Don't try to act like your Honor-Pride-Tradition is any higher than anywhere else in SETX.
4. I wont speak for everyone but that is what I thought was implied. If that is not what was being implied, I would like to know what "certain things" you are referring to?
5. I don't know. I just find it strange that they can get it together enough to post on other players they sign but can't mention anything on Jaylan. I'm not saying it's a big deal or anything but I would expect them to be a little more excited about being able to offer and sign him. I would assume they would want to introduce him to the fan base, but whatever. Hopefully he stands out on the court.
6. Is UNLV ever going to release something on signing Jaylan? I have seen several articles now on their website (www.unlvrebels.com) about other players they have signed but nothing on Jaylan. It's confusing that these other players get their articles posted on the official athletic website. I would be a little bit upset about that if I was Jaylan. Getting an incoming freshman talent like Ballou should be getting headlines and articles before senior transfers imo.
7. Got word that Jase verbally committed to SEU in Lakeland, Florida. He is expected to sign his letter in a couple of weeks. congratulations young man! Keep up the hard work!
8. Guess I will go ahead and ask it... Not to take anything away from the selected players but How does Jase Miguez not at least make offensive MVP? I can't recall the last time the district leading scorer wasn't at least the offensive MVP. What is even more impressive is that everyone in the area knows he is the only threat on the team and he still managed to lead the district in scoring. You take Jase off of Nederland, they might win 4-5 games in district and miss the playoffs.
9. Fields didn't have a choice in the matter as he was thrown off the team. Hopefully he got the help he needed to get control of his "issues". A change of scenery alone will not fix the problem. I understand transferring because you get beat out by an underclass man and you want playing time or your home sick, I get that. No way TB should transfer if it's his choice. Talent will only carry you so far. TB has the world in his palms and he could throw it all away behind poor decision making. Like another poster said, most of us have never been in his position and that is 100% correct. Most of us were not born with the athletic gifts from God that TB was born with and he has worked hard to get to Bama. But that is not an excuse to mess it up. Those kids have an amazing support structure at those schools. Schools are investing a lot of money into these kids are doing everything they can to ensure the kids graduate with a degree and set them up for success in life. TB has to practice, study and stay out of trouble. Cmon man, is it really that hard to do?
10. I read it as because he was in Sabans dog house he should transfer. Blaming Saban might not be the intent, but the suggestion to transfer will not fix the root of the problem. You will never convince me that UH is a better opportunity than Alabama. Kid is a true sophomore and has played every game this season. Kids future is bright at Alabama if he doesn't throw it away. He may not have a choice if he is thrown off the team, but if he isn't, he needs to get his priorities straight or get trapped in the 409.
11. Are we seriously blaming Nick Saban??? If the kid is in the dog house, then he needs to stop doing the things that are getting him there! Kid has an unbelievable opportunity and is throwing it away because he can't follow rules. Changing schools will not fix that problem. Grow up, mature and work your butt off on the field and off. If you are doing those things and it's not working out, sure, transfer. But don't bring your bad habits to another school and then blame it on that coach too.
12. Kirby was an underrated guard for English. Let's not forget that he was an all-district player his senior year.
13. I'm close friends with the Miguez family and they are not moving anywhere. (Confirmed) However, rumors are flying that another player may leave but nothing confirmed.
14. Oh its going to be raining.... Deep balls to Seay and Kimler all "game" long!
15.
Hey Griff- what number was the transfer from Center?
My guess #6.
16.
Vidor is loosing one of its own....
You know how I know you are from Vidor? lol, he will be welcomed in Bulldog Country. Nothing wrong with wanting to upgrade in life.
17.
Lemme guess, WOS 1st team looked better than Nederland 2nd team?
FIFY
18. I thought this was about the Visitor Score not working and always showing 0... oh wait, thats because no one scores on Nederland's Defense!
19.
Nederland hasn't lost a district game in either of the last 2 seasons...as for blue's assessment of the OL, I am not sure what you are looking at...this will be a strength of the team next year with Brown, Albritton, and Brinkley returning...these guys all played great last year and there is no reason to expect anything different this season
Im just going off what I have seen in the spring... and I hope you are right.  Pryor and Washington both played OL last year because they needed the help, and from what I have seen, their disappearence is a big notice.  I hope you are right though.
20.

If it were decided on paper than Nederland has as good as a chance as anybody at a three peat but unfortunately its not decided that way.  Injuries, grades and the fact that we are talking about 16,17 and 18 year old kids... who knows how the season is going to play out.  Based off what I have seen so far, Ned gets one upgrade at LB.  Mayfield is an absolute beast who would have played last year if it werent for a knee injury suffered at the beginning of the season.  Deshawn is getting looks at DT as well as on the end, so he will be moved around on the line alot this year.  I hope he keeps his hunger! (Dravanti Johnson senior year???)  OL is not looking as good as I was hoping.  Freshman Tackle has been getting some time but needs to get mean.  QB are all pretty even, which means if you have 3 qb's, you really have 0.  I think the 3rd stringer looks really good and I would not be surprised if he is named the starter after scrimmages.  Sage is a great dual threat but wait until you see this guy on the outside.  Looks really natural and with Kimler and Krautz, this could be the best WR group in the district if not the area.  Hopkins will be a stud but his success will depend alot on how the OL progresses.  Sage has been getting looks at LB and Krautz at CB.  Both look pretty good.  Tinsley has been getting looks at SS.  He has some speed.  Malveaux will be back in the interior.  Dont look for him to go anywhere, thats a stonewall if I have ever seen one.  Its going to be another great year of HS football for SETX!  I cant wait.  Can Nederland make it 24 straight 20-4A victories?  Lets get it on and see....
Sage? i thought his name was Seay...
Sage Seay

22. I heard Nederland lost a big transfer this year to Memorial.  He was going to be a big influence on next years team.  Anyone have anymore info on this?
23.
I think at HJ and Kountze it's $1000 per school year...if you don't live in the district. I know of a few that are in the HJ program that don't live there in the lower levels...
I think the UIL would really be interested to know if anything like that was going on.
