I'm not taking the bait. Good luck to Central and the rest of the Playoff teams representing 22-5A. It's a special honor to represent our district and a reward for the hard work put in this season. It doesn't matter how you got there, but what you do when the clock starts. Everyone is 0-0 again. Show them what SETX is about!

MCM is the biggest game in the state. Doesn't matter if both teams are undefeated or winless... you just have to be apart of it to understand. Sorry Vidor doesn't get to play in anything this meaningful in their lives. I wish all kids could experience something as special as MCM.

Even clowns have more sense than PNG fan base... who would have thunk it?

Nederland is in desperate need of some PNG Football

No Vidor.... nobody likes you. Every team would rather see you lose than for their team to win. In fact, Vidor is what everyone is thinking about on Friday Night.... "Gosh, I hope Vidor loses!" "They better announce the Vidor score at halftime!" You should hear the eruption of applause when they announce Vidor is losing at the half. Puts anything Chicago did the other night to shame. Everyone leaves the stadiums happy after a Vidor loss. You know, because nobody has anything else to worry about than Vidor.

I remember the days when "smack talk" was derogatory. Now its like.... "Your coach is good at winning district games...BAM!"

Anyone know when the MCM tickets go on sale at Nederland High School?

Not Tic's fault but Weisbrod was looked over by Lamar initially and Colton signed with UNO. I'm glad he is at Lamar now. Not sure I agree with Atwood being a higher profile recruit than Miguez. I would put Jase up against anybody that was in our district both athletically and basketball skill wise. I'm happy that Atwood gets a chance to play at the next level and at home, not trying to take anything away from him. Hopefully, Lamar will continue to recruit our local kids.

Great game for Jase! Another kid that Lamar just lets leave the area without ever picking up the phone. Bright future ahead of Jase and I am looking forward to seeing him make his mark at SEU.

Yeah I may have to do another one but I'm afraid its not going to be as good as the original.

Man, I was hoping someone may have saved offline or something. I thought I did, but I cant find anything. I hope its not lost.

Do you know if there is anyway to find a thread I created about "If 20-4A was a high school cafeteria..."? I searched the archived threads but didn't hit on anything. I created it several years ago. We were discussing it and remember it being a funny post, but none of can find it. I was hoping maybe somebody had a copy of it or knew how to find it. Thanks!

Im hearing Simmons out 2-3 weeks. I also heard Back up qb out 2-3 weeks. This has only been confirmed by one source and usually I have heard more by now but has been pretty quiet.

I wasnt going to post it but since you want to name call, I will provide the proof. My point is when the game is over fans for the losing team leave, regardless of how much time is left.

For Nederland, I hear Reid Garret.

I personally like the natural grass. I do think the schools need to be upgraded along with the stadium but I would keep the grass.

Yep. Plus it was raining but let's just all admit all fans are the same.

I remember a few years back posting a photo at MCM that showed an empty Port Neches stands at the start of the 4th in the reservation. Don't try to act like your Honor-Pride-Tradition is any higher than anywhere else in SETX.

I wont speak for everyone but that is what I thought was implied. If that is not what was being implied, I would like to know what "certain things" you are referring to?

I don't know. I just find it strange that they can get it together enough to post on other players they sign but can't mention anything on Jaylan. I'm not saying it's a big deal or anything but I would expect them to be a little more excited about being able to offer and sign him. I would assume they would want to introduce him to the fan base, but whatever. Hopefully he stands out on the court.

Is UNLV ever going to release something on signing Jaylan? I have seen several articles now on their website (www.unlvrebels.com) about other players they have signed but nothing on Jaylan. It's confusing that these other players get their articles posted on the official athletic website. I would be a little bit upset about that if I was Jaylan. Getting an incoming freshman talent like Ballou should be getting headlines and articles before senior transfers imo.

Got word that Jase verbally committed to SEU in Lakeland, Florida. He is expected to sign his letter in a couple of weeks. congratulations young man! Keep up the hard work!

Guess I will go ahead and ask it... Not to take anything away from the selected players but How does Jase Miguez not at least make offensive MVP? I can't recall the last time the district leading scorer wasn't at least the offensive MVP. What is even more impressive is that everyone in the area knows he is the only threat on the team and he still managed to lead the district in scoring. You take Jase off of Nederland, they might win 4-5 games in district and miss the playoffs.
